Russia launches war's largest drone attack, Ukraine says
Ammon News - The largest known Russian drone attack since full-scale war began in 2022 killed a woman in the Kyiv region and injured at least three people, Ukrainian authorities said early on Sunday, as Moscow stepped up strikes following peace talks on Friday.
Russia launched 273 drones by 8 a.m. local time (0500 GMT), targeting chiefly the central Kyiv region and the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions in the country's east, Ukraine's air force said.
Based on data provided by the air force, this was Russia's largest drone attack on Ukraine of the war. On the eve of the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 23, Moscow launched a then-record 267 drones.
The sustained overnight Russian drone attack on Sunday killed a 28-year-old woman in the capital region and injured at least three people, including a 4-year-old child, Ukrainian authorities said. Reuters

Trump says Gaza deal ‘very close,'
Ammon News - US President Donald Trump said Friday mediators were 'very close' to reaching a ceasefire and hostage release deal between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. 'We'll let you know about it during the day or maybe tomorrow, and we have a chance of that,' Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. However, Hamas said it was still reviewing a proposal from the US, which it received on Thursday, while adding that the offer failed to satisfy its demands. The group said it was holding consultations with other 'Palestinian factions.' The US proposal stipulates that the sides still need to agree on the parameters of the IDF's partial withdrawal from Gaza during the temporary truce.

Two Palestinians killed as Israeli forces open fire near aid center in Rafah
Ammon News - Two Palestinians were killed and dozens injured early Saturday morning when Israeli occupation forces opened fire on civilians attempting to reach an aid distribution center near Al-Alam Roundabout, west of Rafah in southern Gaza. Medical and local sources reported that large numbers of people had gathered in hopes of receiving humanitarian assistance when Israeli gunfire erupted, causing multiple casualties. In a separate incident, emergency teams recovered the bodies of two Palestinians—Mohammed Ali Abu Hajras and Mohammed Eyad Jamil Abu Assi—who were killed in a previous Israeli airstrike targeting the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, also in southern Gaza. Israeli military attacks intensified across the region overnight, with warplanes and drones launching heavy strikes on eastern areas of Jabalia in the north of the Strip. Simultaneously, artillery shelling was reported in northeastern parts of the Jabalia refugee camp. WAFA
