Spinning Back Clique LIVE (noon ET): Cejudo vs. insignificance after UFC Seattle, Topuria's big wave, more
Check out this week's 'Spinning Back Clique,' MMA Junkie's weekly live show that takes a spin through the biggest topics in mixed martial arts.
This week's panel of Brian 'Goze' Garcia, Nolan King and Danny Segura will join host 'Gorgeous' George Garcia live at noon ET (9 a.m. PT) to discuss and debate the following topics: Former flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo was back this past Saturday hoping to put himself back into relevance in the UFC after back-to-back losses since he returned from a three-year retirement. In the third round of the UFC Fight Night 253 main event in Seattle, he took a nasty eye poke and after some drama and controversy, lost a technical decision to Song Yadong when he said he had to quit because he couldn't see. We react to all the insanity around the result.
The rest of UFC Fight Night 252 was, in large part, a pleasure. The prelims featured seven finishes in seven fights, and on the main card, Rob Font, Anthony Hernandez and Jean Silva all had standout performances. We'll look at the supporting players in Seattle and the impressions they left with us.
In a development that seemed to come from out of left field, UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria announced he will vacate the title so he can move to lightweight. That means the 145-pound division won't be held up, like it has been in the past, by a champion's pursuit of a second belt. We'll look at the new possibilities at lightweight, as well as Alexander Volkanovski's chance to become champ again when he takes on Diego Lopes for the newly vacant belt.
This past week also brought other big fight news, like champ Belal Muhammad vs. Jack Della Maddalena for the welterweight belt at UFC 315, and women's flyweight titleholder Valentina Shevchenko vs. Manon Fiorot in the co-main at that same show in Montreal. We'll break down the latest fight news.
Saturday, the UFC will be back in Las Vegas with little guys in the headliner when Manel Kape takes on Asu Almabayev. Is this going to turn into a flyweight title eliminator? Plus, we'll look at the rest of the card in the desert.
'Spinning Back Clique' is released each Monday LIVE on MMA Junkie's YouTube channel at noon ET. You can also find each episode on your favorite podcast platforms – including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and more – on Tuesday mornings.

WWE loads up SmackDown with Cena, Cody, Logan, Ripley, Americano, and so much more
It's WWE's turn to broadcast way too much damn wrestling content at once, with both Worlds Collide and Money in the Bank scheduled for this Saturday (June 7) in the Los Angeles area. That means this Friday's (June 6) episode of SmackDown in Bakersfield, California, is the go home show for both events. With that in mind, General Manager Nick Aldis posted the following video on social media today announcing that all the relevant top stars will be in the house. Advertisement The one match Aldis announced is a six-woman tag team match pitting Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, and Alexa Bliss against Roxanne Perez, Naomi, and Giulia. These are the six women who have qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match, of course. He says the six men's Money in the Bank participants (Seth Rollins, Penta, El Grande Americano, Andrade, LA Knight, and Solo Sikoa) will also be in the building, and teased a significant confrontation between them. Finally, Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso are scheduled for Friday night's show, where they will confront WWE Champion John Cena and Logan Paul. These three wrestlers and one YouTube douchebag will square off in a tag team match at Money in the Bank. Is that enough star power to get you to tune into this Friday's three hour episode of SmackDown on USA Network? Let me know in the comments below, Cagesiders. Advertisement More from

After a Flurry of Successful Lead Singles and the EP 'Ride or Die,' James Robert Webb Is Set to Drop His Highly Anticipated Outlaw Country-Inspired Fourth Album 'Weekend Outlaw' June 6
TULSA, Okla., June 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Over four decades since Loverboy iconically reminded us that everybody's "Working for the Weekend" and Waylon, Willie and company set the Nashville establishment on fire with their Outlaw Country movement, modern day storyweaver James Robert Webb offers a fresh twist on those empowering aesthetics with the drop of his highly anticipated fourth full-length album Weekend Outlaw Artfully weaving raw emotion, cinematic storytelling and clever turns of lyrical phrase into songs that feel all at once untamed, liberating and eternal, the veteran Tulsa OK singer/songwriter's 11 track set is the culmination of several years releasing a large batch of lead singles and the 2024 EP Ride or Die, Webb launched his current run of success with two songs that hit the upper reaches of the Texas Regional Radio Report chart – "Gentlemen Start Your Weekends" (#2) and "Lovesick Drifting Cowboy" (#1). Both appear on the EP and the new collection. With genre-busting outlaw soul, the tracks on the album aim to empower with a sound that is equal parts haunting mystery, explosive muscle and vibrant tradition, all captured by a spirit of fast-driving rebellion. Weekend Outlaw is inspired by and dedicated to folks like Webb who grew up in working class families and are successful professionals in other fields (in his case, a top musculoskeletal radiologist). Yet, especially since the pandemic, they realize that time is of the essence to pursue their creative dreams - and there's way more to life than the daily 9 to 5 grind. "We're all aware of the fleetingness of life, and know we've got to do it now," Webb says. "The whole 'Weekend Outlaw' mentality is about being true to our passions. My goal with the album is to encourage listeners to take ownership of their free time and follow the pursuits that come after clocking out on Friday night." Webb, who released his debut full-length Pictures in 2016, rose to prominence a few years later when two tracks from his 2020 self-titled album – "Something Out of Nothing" and "Stealing Home" – hit #1 on the Texas Regional Radio Report chart. In 2022, he was named the Country Breakout Awards' Independent Artist of the Year (an honor bestowed by Nashville's Music Row Magazine) and a year later he was a 2023 New Faces nominee at the Texas Regional Radio Report Music Awards. Expected later in 2025, Webb makes his debut as an actor playing himself in a new family-friendly holiday film currently titled "Music City Mistletoe." In addition to singing his original song "Fighting for a Dream" on camera, the film will include his recording "Merry Magical Christmas," a song he co-wrote with the film's writer and executive producer Shantell Ogden. BMF Season 4: Everything we know so far about the upcoming season
By Aman Shukla Published on June 6, 2025, 17:30 IST Last updated June 6, 2025, 11:30 IST The Starz crime drama BMF (Black Mafia Family) has captivated audiences with its gripping portrayal of the Flenory brothers' rise in the drug trade. After a thrilling Season 3, fans are eagerly awaiting BMF Season 4. Here's everything we know about the upcoming season. Release Date BMF Season 4 is set to premiere on Friday, June 6, 2025, on Starz. New episodes will air weekly at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on the Starz linear platform and will be available to stream at midnight on the Starz app and other on-demand platforms like Hulu with Live TV and Lionsgate Plus (for UK viewers). The announcement follows the success of Season 3, which averaged nearly 10 million multiplatform viewers, signaling strong anticipation for the new season. Cast The core cast of BMF Season 4 is expected to return, bringing continuity to the story of the Black Mafia Family. Key returning actors include: Demetrius Flenory Jr. as Demetrius 'Big Meech' Flenory, portraying his real-life father. Da'Vinchi as Terry 'Southwest T' Flenory, Meech's brother and business partner. Russell Hornsby as Charles Flenory, the brothers' father. Michole Briana White as Lucille Flenory, their mother. La La Anthony as Markaisha Taylor, Terry's love interest and aspiring business partner. Steve Harris as Detective Von Bryant, determined to take down BMF. Kelly Hu as Detective Veronica Jin, Bryant's partner. Laila D. Pruitt as Nicole Flenory, the Flenorys' younger sister. Myles Truitt as B-Mickie, a childhood friend and BMF member, returning after a Season 3 absence. Eric Kofi-Abrefa as Lamar Silas, Meech's rival, also returning after missing Season 3. Plot Details BMF Season 4 will pick up in the early 1990s, following the Flenory brothers as they expand their drug empire beyond Detroit. The season will explore their ventures in Atlanta, St. Louis, Los Angeles, and even Mexico, where they face violent confrontations with rival organizations. A teaser trailer highlights a dramatic trip south of the border, where Meech and Terry narrowly escape death, an event that will 'change them forever.' According to the official synopsis, Meech learns of a prophecy predicting his continued rise in the drug trade, fueling his belief in his invincibility—potentially to his detriment. The brothers' relationship will be tested as they navigate rivalries, law enforcement, and personal ambitions. Meanwhile, Markaisha seeks to establish herself as a serious player in Terry's business, while Lucille and Charles grapple with the emotional and financial fallout of their divorce while co-parenting Nicole, who introduces new challenges. Detective Bryant, still reeling from the loss of his son, channels his grief into an intensified pursuit of BMF. The season will delve deeper into the Black Mafia Family's expansion, blending real-life events with fictional drama. As the real BMF wasn't dismantled until the early 2000s, Season 4 may include time jumps to bring the story closer to its conclusion or continue to explore the 1990s in detail. Fans can expect high-stakes action, intricate family drama, and the brothers' pursuit of the 'American Dream' through their criminal empire. Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication .
