Married to Real Estate hosts Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson are breaking their silence after HGTV canceled their beloved show.
The married couple launched the show in 2022, following them as they balance their personal and professional lives as they help clients in Atlanta land their dream homes.
The show wrapped up its fourth season back in late May, with the third season pulling in 16.6 million viewers, though it seems HGTV decided to cancel it while the couple was on vacation.
The couple released a joint statement on their respective Instagram accounts, though Jackson made it quite clear on his Instagram story that he was not pleased with how it happened, while hinting at a working environment that was not ideal.
'I can't front. I'm a bit tight and disappointed. If y'all only knew what we have to put up with and endure,' he said in an Instagram story slide.
He also shared a number of clips from the show, along with a video of him and his wife dressed for a formal affair, captioned, 'We got us,' and a slide that read, 'Either WE building or I'M building. Either way, it's getting built.'
The couple's official statement on the matter from Egypt was more cordial, though it hinted there was much more they had to say in the future.
'Mike and I just landed back in the States after an unforgettable family trip through the Mediterranean, and we're met with unexpected news: HGTV has decided not to move forward with Married to Real Estate,' the joint statement began.
'While the chain of events leading up to this is disheartening, we are deeply grateful,' the statement continued.
'Grateful for four incredible seasons. Grateful for our amazing crew and supportive fans. Grateful that our businesses continue to thrive,' they added.
'And most of all-grateful that we are still very much married to real estate (and to each other),' they said of their marriage, as they get ready to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary in September.
They also hinted at some acrimony with HGTV, indicating while the cancellation was a surprise, it may have also been a blessing in disguise.
'There's more to say, and we'll share soon. But for now, know this: not all setbacks are what they seem. Some blessings show up in disguise,' they added.
'We've been here before. We'll keep counting those blessings-and keep it moving. Stay tuned,' the statement concluded.

Sherrod is the CEO of the Egypt Sherrod Real Estate Group, while Jackson is the owner of Jackson Draper Renovations.
They both served as judges on HGTV's Rock the Block in Season 2, and competed themselves in Season 3, prevailing as champions.
Sherrod also hosted HGTV's Flipping Virgins from 2015 to 2018, and they both host the successful Marriage & Money podcast as well.
