, things played out a bit differently. In the June 18 episode of their 'New Heights' podcast, the Kelce brothers welcomed their father, Ed Kelce, who revealed an amusing truth — he never had "the talk" with his sons.

'I never got any advice on sex from Dad,' said Jason, 37. 'We never had the birds and the bees talk.'
Ed responded with a laugh, 'No, we didn't. No, we didn't.'
Apparently, the Cleveland Heights public school system handled what most parents would. 'He left that to the Cleveland Heights public school system,' Jason joked, with Travis, 35, adding, 'Yeah, health class!'
And Ed stood by that parenting decision. 'I lived without it.

Despite skipping the formal sex talk, Ed Kelce didn't completely check out of his sons' emotional development. In fact, he played a low-key but pivotal role in offering dating advice, particularly to Travis during his middle school years.
Recalling his early attempts to impress girls, Travis shared a moment of fatherly wisdom that stuck with him. 'He had this funny way of saying, 'Hey, just be her friend, just be cool with her.

Ed also had a memorable nugget of dating strategy for Jason when he was attending the University of Cincinnati. Jason, feeling unsure about approaching women, once admitted, 'Yeah, I see these girls, but I really don't know what to talk about.'
To which Ed advised, 'All you gotta do is shut up and let them talk about themselves and you ain't gotta say another word.

'I did not know how to talk to girls,' Jason confessed.
Despite the awkward beginnings, both brothers found lasting love. Jason has been happily married to Kylie Kelce for seven years and is a proud father of four daughters — Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and baby Finnley. Meanwhile, Travis has been in a high-profile relationship with global pop icon Taylor Swift since 2023.
Ed Kelce, who's been spotted enjoying Chiefs games and even attending Swift's Eras Tour in Toronto, remains optimistic about his son's love life. 'I think we get past the Super Bowl... just them alone really connecting more,' he said earlier this year, hoping the off-season would give Travis and Taylor time to deepen their bond.
