
Man, 78, charged over death of woman at house in Glasgow
A 78-year-old man has been charged over the death of a woman in Glasgow on Saturday.Margaret McGowan, 71, died after being found seriously injured at a house in Newfield Square in Nitshill.Police officers well called to the property shortly before 21:45 on Saturday following a report of a disturbance at the house.Det Insp Jason Nicol said the incident was being treated as a contained incident and there was "no wider risk to the public".
He added: "Our inquiries are ongoing and a police presence may remain in the area as this work continues." Police Scotland said a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

The police unit's Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Jody Beresford said: 'We understand that this incident is both shocking and devastating to all those who knew Samantha, and we are working tirelessly to establish the full circumstances. 'We would like to thank the community for their patience and understanding whilst we have been carrying out enquiries in the area. 'As part of our enquiries, we appealed for help in locating a gold suitcase. We can confirm this has now been found and we would like to thank everyone who contacted us with information.'

Bradford teenager charged with murder of Muhammad Junaid Khan
A teenager has been charged with the murder of a 19-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in Bradford. Muhammad Junaid Khan died on Loughrigg Street, in the West Bowling area of the city, on Friday, with a 27-year-old man and a 24-year-old man also stabbed. Mohammed Mehmood, 18, of Woodroyd Road, Bradford, is also charged with attempted murder, assault causing actual bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public place, West Yorkshire Police Mehmood was remanded into custody, the force said, and is due to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court later. A 17-year-old arrested on suspicion of blackmail has been bailed pending further investigations. The inquiry has seen seven others arrested, with those held either bailed or released under investigation.
