Brazilian President feels unwell, goes to hospital: Reports

Brasilia, May 27 (UNI) Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva felt unwell and went to hospital, where he was diagnosed with an inflammation of the inner ear, and is currently resting at his residence, the G1 portal reported.
Lula, 79, felt unwell on Monday afternoon and went to the Syrian-Lebanese Hospital. After examination, he was released and is resting at the Alvorada Palace, the publication says.
As the portal notes, citing the hospital's bulletin, the Brazilian president was diagnosed with labyrinthitis.

Chandigarh, June 4 (UNI) With the arrest of a person from Hisaar of Haryana, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday claimed to have cracked a case of rape and sexual assault of multiple minor female victims. CBI, in a release, said that a case was registered on May 29 on the allegations that the accused was creating, browsing, collecting, processing and uploading child sexual abuse material (CSAM) depicting children in sexual acts in electronic form and storage of pornographic material involving children. CBI further said that the victims or their family had not reported the incidents to any law enforcement agency, and CBI detected the instance of child sexual abuse on its own. It had detected CSAM images and videos from the INTERPOL's ICSE database, the CSAM were also found linked with Cyber Tipline Reports, generated by Google and submitted to 14C, MHA. CBI said that analysis of the material using cyber forensic tools revealed the location of the incident to district Hisar. CBI then raided the residence of the accused which led to the recovery of incriminating electronic gadgets as well as identification of multiple victim children. The accused was arrested on Tuesday. PM to launch mega ‘Aravalli Green Wall project' on June 5

New Delhi, June 4 (UNI) India will kick start its ambitious Aravalli Green Wall Project on World Environment Day on June 5 in a bid to give a new lease of life to one of the oldest mountains of the world ie Aravalli range which is facing rapid degradation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the project by planting a Banyan sapling under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign at Bhagwan Mahavir Vanasthali Park in the national capital, a step to prevent desertification and land degradation caused by global warming. On the occasion, the Prime Minister will also flag off 200 electric buses under Delhi Government's sustainable transport initiative, promoting clean urban mobility and symbolizing the nation's collective responsibility towards ecological balance, said a statement here. Aiming to create a 400 km long and 5 km wide green corridor covering states of Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Delhi, India had introduced the Aravalli Green Wall project at the 16th Conference of Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in Riyadh in 2019. The Union Environment Ministry had released the project's action plan in March. The project envisages boostING biodiversity of the Aravalli Hill Region and is a major initiative to spread green cover in the 5 km buffer area around the Range in 29 districts of the four states, according to the statement. Besides, reforestation and afforestation and rejuvenation of water bodies, the project aims to improve the soil fertility, water availability and climate resilience of the region. The project will also benefit the local communities by providing them with employment and income generation opportunities. In the initial phase, 75 water bodies will be rejuvenated, starting with five waterbodies each in every district of Aravalli landscape, said an official from the Ministry. The plan is inspired by Africa's 'Great Green Wall' project, running from Senegal (West) to Djibouti (East), which came into effect in 2007. Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign encourages people to plant a tree as a symbol of love, respect, and honour for their mothers, while also pledging to protect trees and the Earth. UNI AJ SSP

New Delhi, June 4 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed his deep grief over the loss of lives due to an accident in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister also announced an ex-gratia from PMNRF of Rs two lakh to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured. The Prime Minister's Office posted on X' 'Deeply anguished by the loss of lives due to an accident in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon'. 'An ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs 50,000,' the post said. As many as nine people were killed and two injured when a cement-laden truck overturned and fell on a van.
