What Diddy's ex-assistant is expected to reveal when she takes stand Tuesday

New York Post26-05-2025

Sean 'Diddy' Combs' ex-assistant Capricorn Clark — who once reportedly dubbed him 'the devil'' — could spill the tea on the stand Tuesday about the jealousy that sparked his break-in of rapper Kid Cudi's home.
Clark's testimony is set to kick off the resumption of the hip-hop mogul's Manhattan sex-trafficking trial.
Cudi, whose full name is Scott Mescudi, testified last week that Clark called him in December 2011 to warn him that Combs had forcibly entered his Hollywood Hills home after learning Mescudi had been dating Combs' on-and-off girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

The 'Mr. Rager' singer told jurors he had been with Ventura at the Sunset Marquis hotel when they received a phone call from Clark, who he said sounded 'very scared' and 'on the verge of tears.'

Clark said Combs and his security staff had 'forced' her to come with them for the break-in, Mescudi testified in federal court.

Prosecutors revealed at the start of the blockbuster trial that jurors would hear about Combs allegedly waking up an employee in the middle of the night and forcing her at gunpoint to take him and his bodyguard to the home of a man who Ventura had been dating.
Clark could also testify about receiving a shocking Dec. 23, 2011, email from Ventura, who wrote that a jealous Combs was threatening to release sex tapes of her and planning to have 'someone hurt me and Scott Mescudi physically.'
Ventura testified about sending the email, which prosecutors have shown in court, to Clark and to her mother, Regina Ventura, who told jurors that she became 'physically sick' after reading the message.
In 2023, after Diddy was hit with one of several lawsuits alleging sex assault, Clark wrote on her private Twitter account, 'Last 11 years of my life, I have had to deal with EVERYONES nonsensical allegiance to the devil,' apparently referring to the rapper, according to HotNewHipHop.

Clark will become Combs' third former assistant to testify as a government witness at the trial where the Bad Boy Records founder is accused of leading a 'criminal enterprise' and forcing his romantic partners into 'freak-offs' — or rug-fueled sex marathons with prostitutes.
Another former assistant, David James, testified that the paranoid rap super-producer once forced Clark to take a lie detector test after she was robbed — 'to prove that she wasn't part of the heist.'

Jurors will also hear from witnesses at the Los Angeles police and fire departments before the end of the day Tuesday, prosecutors said last week.
Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution. He's being held without bail at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center.
If convicted on all counts, he could be sent to prison for life.
Judge Arun Subramanian said he hopes that the trial will be wrapped up by the Fourth of July, while prosecutors say they're planning on taking around four more weeks to present their case against Combs.

Key moments from the fourth week of Sean 'Diddy' Combs' sex trafficking trial

NEW YORK (AP) — The fourth week of Sean 'Diddy' Combs ' sex trafficking trial featured testimony from the second of two ex-girlfriends who are crucial witnesses in the government's quest to prove sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges against the hip-hop mogul. Combs, the founder of Bad Boy Records, has pleaded not guilty in the trial, which resumes Monday. Here are key moments from the past week: Hotel worker says Combs sought video of Cassie beating Fearing career ruin, Combs delivered $100,000 in cash to a security guard for a Los Angeles hotel in return for assurances that he was given the only security footage of Combs' 2016 attack on then-girlfriend Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura, the security guard testified. Eddy Garcia, 33, recounted how the deal came to be, saying he first heard from a fast talking, stuttering and 'very nervous' Combs on a phone call seeking to obtain the video of him kicking and dragging Cassie from the hotel's elevator bank into a hallway because 'if this got out it could ruin him.' Days later, Garcia said, he was the nervous one when he was greeted in an office building by a smiling Combs who called him 'Eddy, my angel' before Garcia turned over a USB drive containing the security footage. Combs then made him sign a nondisclosure agreement promising it was the only copy of the video and that Garcia would never speak of it, he said. Then, Combs, with a bodyguard at his side, fed stacks of cash from a brown bag into a rectangular money counter machine until it reached $100,000, Garcia said. He said he pocketed $30,000 and gave $50,000 to his boss and $20,000 to another hotel security guard. Garcia testified under immunity. A recording of the hotel attack on Cassie aired on CNN last year and security footage along with clips of the security tape recorded by a guard on his personal phone so he could show it to his wife have been shown repeatedly during the trial. Judge threatens Combs with trial expulsion Minutes after a prosecutor complained that Combs was seen 'nodding furiously' as his lawyer cross examined a witness on Thursday, Judge Arun Subramanian took a look himself and said he saw Combs 'nodding vigorously and looking at the jury' and doing the same later when the lawyers and the judge were having a sidebar discussion. Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey said prosecutors were concerned because the gestures amounted to 'testifying by nodding affirmatively' while his lawyer asked questions. During a lunch break, defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo promised to speak with Combs and ensure it wouldn't happen again after the judge told him it was 'absolutely unacceptable.' The judge sternly responded: 'If it happens again, if it happens even once, I will hear an application from the government to give a curative instruction to the jury, which you do not want. Or I will consider taking further measures, which could result in the exclusion of your client from the courtroom.' Mia says she was 'brainwashed' to send Combs loving texts after rape A former Combs personal assistant who testified under the pseudonym 'Mia' told jurors that Combs had sexually assaulted her multiple times over her eight-year career, though the attacks were 'random, sporadic, so oddly spaced out' so that she thought each was the last. She said he first molested her and forcibly kissed her at his 40th birthday party before raping her months later in a guest room at his Los Angeles home. On cross examination, defense lawyer Brian Steel's suggested that she fabricated her claims to cash in on 'the #MeToo money grab against Sean Combs.' Steel confronted her with loving texts she sent Combs long after her employment ended and asked how she could tell him, as she did in a 2019 text, that she had imagined Combs rescuing her from a nightmare in which she was trapped in an elevator with R. Kelly, the singer who has since been convicted of sex trafficking. 'I was still brainwashed,' Mia explained. Defense has success with questioning of Cassie's friend The defense had one of its most successful moments of the trial when attorney Nicole Westmoreland cast doubt on the credibility of a graphic designer who says Combs once dangled her from the balcony of a 17th-floor apartment in Los Angeles. Bryana 'Bana' Bongolan, a friend of Cassie who is suing Combs, had taken a cellphone image of a softball-size welt on her leg that she said occurred when Combs held her over the balcony for 10 to 15 seconds and then threw her into furniture. After it was shown to the jury, Westmoreland showed the jury cellphone metadata revealing that the photograph was taken while Combs was on tour in September 2016, staying at a Manhattan hotel. 'You agree that one person can't be in two places at the same time?' Westmoreland asked. 'In, like, theory, yeah,' Bongolan responded. 'You're not sure?' Westmoreland asked. 'Hard to answer that one,' she said. Later, Bongolan said she did not recall the exact date, but she had no doubt the balcony episode happened. Woman recalls sex performances during three years as a Combs' girlfriend A woman testifying under the pseudonym 'Jane' fought through tears and sobs to recount frequent sexual performances she participated in with male sex workers to please Combs and keep their three-year relationship alive until his September arrest. Jane's testimony, which is likely to continue deep into next week, is identical in many ways to the four-day testimony in the trial's first week by Cassie. Jane said she never wanted to have sex with other men but did it to please Combs because she loved him. Cassie described having hundreds of drug-fueled sexual performances known as 'freak-offs' in which she had sex with male sex workers for days at a time while Combs watched, sometimes directed the activity, and pleasured himself. Jane described having nearly the same experiences from 2021 until last August, though she called them 'hotel nights.' She said her relationship with Combs began with romance but later became reliant upon the sexual performances, especially after Combs began paying rent for her apartment. Defense attorneys have insisted that Jane and Combs only engaged in consensual sex and that Jane's protests to Combs in text messages were fueled by jealousy.

Fans Notice the Same Thing About Fever's Caitlin Clark Announcement

Fans Notice the Same Thing About Fever's Caitlin Clark Announcement originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Throughout the early part of the season, the Indiana Fever have used social media to introduce their players to fans who are following the team. It's been a fun and sometimes revealing way to get to know the women of the team beyond what they do on the floor. On Friday, though, next up on the Fever's list of "Get-to-know..." players was none other than star guard Caitlin Clark. Advertisement You know, the most famous women's basketball player on the planet, one who probably needs no introduction at this point. Still, the team sent out on Twitter/X a post captioned, "Get to know Caitlin Clark." In it, Clark reveals some factoids, like that the skill she wants to learn is how to juggle, and that her favorite actors are Melissa McCarthy, Jason Sudekis and Timothee Chalamet. Her favorite movie ... "Parent Trap." Ahem. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark gets an update on her quad McEldowney/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images But fans locked into one particular fact about Clark from the post: She is a cheetah fan, despite not particularly liking cats. Makes sense, though: Clark is known for the speed with which she plays. Advertisement "Cheetah eh ... Checks out. The cheetah is nature's sprinter. She loves to sprint. As we know," one fan commented. "This is a cheetah! fastest animal on the planet. Good choice," one added with a GIF of a cheetah sprinting. "Cheetah makes sense," added another. Still another said, "doesn't like cats -> favorite animal: cheetah." That was a theme as another added, "Hates cats but loves cheetahs." For all her speed, Clark is, of course, currently laid up with a quad injury. She will certainly miss the Fever's next game on Saturday in Chicago, but said she might be back in time for Tuesday's game in Atlanta against the Dream. Advertisement "I'll miss this weekend's game but after that, it's day-by-day and see how I feel, and just turn to the medical staff and what they think," Clark said. "I feel like I've made a lot of progress and I feel good, and I'm not going to rush coming back. It's just not worth it. But after this weekend, I'll be reevaluated and we'll have a better idea of when I'll return." This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 7, 2025, where it first appeared.

International Pride Orchestra plays outside DC in rebuff to Trump snub at Kennedy Center

An event by the International Pride Orchestra this week swung from classical Gershwin favorites to choral patriotism to high drag in a rebuff to Donald Trump's takeover of the Kennedy Center and its subsequent snub of the LBGTQ+ ensemble. The spirited celebration of WorldPride, the peripatetic biennial international festival in support of LGBTQ+ rights which kicks off this month and is taking place in Washington DC, was staged instead at the Strathmore Music Center in Maryland, just north of the capital. Related: Four queer business owners on Pride under Trump: 'Our joy is resistance' Sequin-clad drag queen Peaches Christ acted as host and New York drag queen Thorgy Thor played a violin solo to Beyoncé's Crazy in Love to an audience of 1,166 people. The orchestra had hoped to play at the Kennedy Center, Washington's premier performing arts center, but shortly after returning to the White House, Donald Trump pledged on social media that there would be, in all-caps: 'No more drag shows, or other anti-American propaganda' at the public-private arts space. The Trump administration has issued executive orders limiting transgender rights, banned transgender people from serving in the armed forces, and rescinded anti-discrimination policies for LGBTQ+ people as part of a campaign to repeal diversity, equity and inclusion programs. Michael Roest, conductor and founder of the International Pride Orchestra, a non-profit, reminded the audience that 'people don't feel safe to live and love openly'. 'That is the reason why we have this orchestra,' he said. During the event, the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington sang American the Beautiful, and a pianist, Sara Davis Buechner, who is transgender, dazzled while leading the orchestra on grand piano in the Gershwin favorite Rhapsody in Blue. Both Stars and Stripes and rainbow flags were hoisted at the close. Trump in February fired the leadership of the Kennedy Center, named himself chair and put a loyalist in charge. The center then sent Roest a message that said: 'We are not in a position at this time to advance a contract,' according to an email chain seen by Reuters, after months of prior negotiations. Considering themselves 'disinvited', event organizers began looking for alternative venues and the Strathmore offered its space, an orchestra spokesperson said. A Kennedy Center spokesperson referred Reuters to an X post from leadership saying it had not actually canceled any shows.
