SharkNinja recalls pressure cookers after burn injuries
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — More than a million SharkNinja pressure cookers are being recalled after dozens of people reported getting burned, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The recall is for 1.8 million SharkNinja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cooker. The CPSC says the pressure-cooking lid can be opened during use, allowing hot contents to escape.
According to the CPSC, SharkNinja has received 106 reports of burn injuries, including more than 50 reports of second- or third-degree burns to the face or body. More than two dozen lawsuits have been filed.
The recall involves model numbers OP300, OP301, OP301A, OP302, OP302BRN, OP302HCN, OP302HAQ, OP302HW, OP302HB, OP305, OP305CO, and OP350CO. The number is printed on a label on the side of the cooker.
According to the recall website, an additional code following the model number is not part of that model designation. For example, a unit labeled 'OP301 I07' is a model OP301 unit. The recall also includes any OP300 series replacement lids purchased as an additional part.
The pressure cookers were sold at many stores nationwide, including Walmart, Costco, Sam's Club and Target. They were also available through Amazon and Ninjakitchen.com.
If you have one of the recalled pressure cookers, the CPSC says you should stop using it immediately and contact SharkNinja for a free replacement lid. You can continue to use the product's air frying and other functions.

Mass recall of kitchen faucets sold on Amazon over lead exposure concerns
More than 100,000 kitchen faucets from three different brands sold on Amazon have been recalled over dangerous lead exposure concerns. On Thursday, the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued three separate recall warnings for the faucets 'due to dangerous lead exposure.' Each federal agency recall warns the faucets had been tested and found to contain lead, which 'can leach into water at levels that can be particularly harmful to infants and young children.' In total, around 103,000 faucets have been recalled. Consumers are advised to immediately stop using them and to get a refund. There have been no reported injuries. The CPSC said lead ingestion can lead to neurological effects on infants and young children. Officials said the harmful effects may include 'attention-related behavioral problems, decreased cognitive performance and lower IQ.' The faucets are from the brands Vfauosit, Kicimpro and Basdehen. All were manufactured in China and ranged in price from $30 to $40. The Vfauosit kitchen faucets have a brushed nickel finish and a pull-down detachable spray nozzle. They were sold on Amazon by the seller Whisper08 from January 2024. The Kicimpro faucets are also brushed nickel with a pull-down detachable spray nozzle and were sold on Amazon from January last year under the brand name. The Basdehen kitchen faucets have a matte black finish with a spring spout design and a detachable spray nozzle. They were sold on Amazon by the seller Chenfeng Store between May 2024 and this May. Officials said the Vfauosit and Basdehe faucets 'were also found to leach other contaminants.' The CPSC said consumers can discover if their faucet has been recalled by searching the brand name and 'kitchen faucet' in their Amazon purchase history. Customers should contact Amazon sellers directly for guidance on the disposal of the faucet and a refund. The Amazon sellers or Amazon itself are contacting all known purchasers directly. The CPSC added: 'Consumers will need to provide a photograph of disposal to receive the refund.' The Independent has reached out to the sellers for comment.

Over 100,000 kitchen faucets sold on Amazon recalled due to harmful levels of lead exposure
More than 100,000 kitchen faucets have been recalled because they could lead to dangerous levels of lead exposure according to three separate notices posted Thursday by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Three different faucets models, manufactured in China and sold under the brands Vfauosit, Kicimpro and Basdehen, were determined unsafe after tests revealed they contain lead that could leak into the water supply and cause harm to young infants and children. No injuries have been reported thus far. Lead ingestion can "cause harmful neurological effects on infants and young children, including attention-related behavioral problems, decreased cognitive performance and lower IQ," the CPSC says in the recall notices. The recalled faucets were sold for roughly $40 on between January 2024 and May 2025 by vendors Whisper08, Kicimpro and Chenfeng Store. The recalls, issued on May 29, affect an estimated 103,000 products. Amazon and two of the vendors are contacting known customers who purchased the items directly to notify them of the recall. Consumers with the faucets are advised to stop using them immediately and to reach out to the vendor for a refund. Consumers will have to provide a photograph of disposal to get their money back, all three vendors state in their respective recall notices. "Until these faucets can be replaced, consumers should only consume water from the faucets after running the water for 15 seconds," the CPSC advises.
