Three-time Olympic champion Summer McIntosh can't be slowed down at the 2025 Canadian Swimming Trials.
The 18-year-old Toronto native set her third world record in five days while swimming the 400-meter individual medley in 4:23.65 on Wednesday. It beat her previous record of 4:24.38 set at the 2024 Canadian Olympic Trials.

'(The) 400 IM is the race I've come close to mastering for myself,' McIntosh told CBC. 'So going into tonight, I knew it would take an extra little push if I wanted to lower, or, go a best time I'd like to say, since I hold the world record. … I mean, overall, happy with the time, but I know I can go faster. The faster I swim, the happier I am.'
Earlier in the trials, McIntosh began her streak by setting a record in the 400-meter freestyle on Saturday and in the 200-meter individual medley on Monday.
She finished the 400m freestyle in 3:54.18, winning by more than 13 seconds. McIntosh took more than a second off the previous record of 3:55.38 set by Ariarne Titmus of Australia in 2023.
Two days later, McIntosh swam the 200m medley in 2:05.70 and broke the record of 2:06.12 set by Katinka Hosszú of Hungary in 2015. With her impressive time, McIntosh became the first female swimmer to finish the event under 2:06.
Her performance at this year's trials in Victoria, British Columbia, put McIntosh in elite company with Michael Phelps, who was the last person to break a world record in three individual events at one meet, doing so at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Additionally, McIntosh had her record-setting week at the Saanich Commonwealth Place pool, the same venue where Phelps set three world records at the 2006 Pan Pacific Championships.

Phelps competed in five Olympic Games (2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016) and racked up 23 gold medals, three silvers and two bronzes while dominating everyone else in the pool.
McIntosh already has three Olympic golds and one silver after competing for Canada in the 2024 Paris Games. She also participated in the 2020 Tokyo Games in 2021 at age 14, making her the youngest member of the Canadian team. McIntosh did not medal in Tokyo.
The swimming sensation turns 19 on Aug. 18, and at such a young age, she could potentially compete in three more Olympic Games and match Phelps' five.
McIntosh now turns her attention to training for the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore from July 11 to Aug. 3.

NBA star Kevin Durant's custom Oklahoma City townhome hits the market — starting at $35

NBA star Kevin Durant's custom Oklahoma City townhome hits the market — starting at $35 Show Caption Hide Caption Which NBA stars do we expect to see in the 2028 Olympics? LeBron James, Steph Curry and Kevin Durant led Team USA to another gold at the Paris Olympics, and it's a good thing because the team will look VERY different in 2028. But which stars can we expect to see back? An Oklahoma City townhome formerly owned by NBA star Kevin Durant is on the market once more, but the price will surprise you. This three-story, custom townhome in the historic Deep Deuce neighborhood was designed by Durant during his time with the Oklahoma City Thunder has been listed on Redfin with a starting price of only $35. Yes, you read that right. Ieasha Larkpor, managing broker for Thunder Team Realty, said the current homeowners didn't want to put an asking price on the home — instead, they want interested buyers to get with their real estate agent and prepare their own offer for the home. Pre-approved buyers can schedule a tour of the home, and an open house will be held every Sunday each week until it sells, Larkpor said. Here's what to know about the home. Famous real estate: 40 celebrities and athletes who call this Florida county home Former home of Kevin Durant for sale Inside the nearly 4,000 square-foot home, you'll find a basement-level two-car garage with a private elevator that goes to all three floors of the townhome. The home has two kitchens, four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. Durant purchased the home in 2013 and converted it and the neighboring townhome into a single home. The homes have since been separated and sold separately, with a kitchen being added back into the 420 townhome along with other modifications required after Durant's renovations.

The puzzle loves to use last names and even college names that mean other things, to fool you into thinking they are words, not names. #3: And the opposite is also true. Words like HURTS might seem like a regular word, but it's also the last name of at least one pro athlete.

Tyreek Hill challenges Noah Lyles after running a 100-meter dash that wouldn't beat Noah Lyles

Tyreek Hill took his rivalry with track star Noah Lyles several steps further on Friday, throwing down a 100-meter dash time that had him at the front of the pack at the Last Chance Sprint Series. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver recorded a new personal best of 10.15 seconds in his first 100-meter dash since 2014, the best mark of the 91 sprinters to run in the heats at Sherman Oaks, California. Hill delivered a message immediately after the race: "Noah could never." The two have said they plan to race at some point before the U.S. outdoor championships in July. Let's make one thing clear: Hill returning to track at 31 years old and throwing down a time that wouldn't look out of place at the world championships is an outrageously impressive achievement and a strong reminder that all your favorite NFL players are simply mutants when compared to 99.9% of the population. Advertisement For perspective, Hill would have qualified for the semifinals of the 100 meter dash at the 2024 Olympics if he had run 10.15 seconds in Paris (Nigeria's Favour Ashe was the final qualifier with a time of 10.16 seconds). Hill did have a 1.2 mph of wind assistance in California, but there's no denying it, Hill looked like an elite track runner on Friday. It is a credit to him that we're even talking about him like this. Unfortunately, Hill is not in a feud with an elite track runner. He is in a feud with the elite track runner. Tyreek Hill's time is slow by Noah Lyles' standards Hill said "Noah could never," but the fact is that Lyles has, several times, for years. Advertisement Lyles ran a 10.14 in 2015, 13 days after his 18th birthday. Lyles won the Olympics with a time of 9.79 seconds and won the 2023 world championships with a time of 9.83 seconds. He has not run a time slower than 10.15 seconds in an event on World Athletics' ledger since April 2022. A difference of a quarter of a second doesn't sound like much, but it can separate a first- and last-place finish in an elite track event. And it takes an enormous amount of training and natural gifts to close the gap. Granted, Hill might beat Lyles if they raced tomorrow, but that's because Lyles is currently dealing with an ankle injury. Tyreek Hill is one of the fastest men in the world. He still has to make up some ground to catch Noah Lyles. (Photo by Nick Cammett/Diamond Images via Getty Images) (Diamond Images via Getty Images) None of that means Hill is incapable of beating Lyles in a future race. Track is all about training and Hill could still make up some ground there, and/or have a really a good day while Lyles has a bad day. It just needs to be said, Hill isn't there yet. Advertisement Hill probably knows that, because he told reporters last month he was planning to run a 10-flat on Friday. He also said he hopes to race Lyles soon and compete in the 2028 Olympics — as a track runner, not a flag football player — so this isn't close to over. It's been an eventful offseason overall for Hill, who opened it by saying he wanted out of Miami after their season-ending loss. He later walked those comments back and apologized. There was also a domestic incident in April, in which his wife called police and said she feared for their daughter's safety.
