
Russian Defense Ministry announces liberation of new town in Donetsk

The Russian Defense Ministry announced Thursday that the Center Forces Group liberated the town of Preobrazhenka in Donetsk, while enemy losses in the group's area of responsibility amounted to approximately 385 soldiers over the past 24 hours.
The Russian Defense Ministry revealed in its daily report that the total daily losses of the Ukrainian army on various fronts reached approximately 1,230 soldiers. The following are highlights from the Russian Defense Ministry's report:
On the Belgorod front, formations of the Northern Group of Forces struck enemy forces in several population centers in Sumy Oblast, with the enemy losing approximately 65 soldiers.
Formations of the Western Group of Forces seized more favorable lines and positions and bombarded enemy forces and equipment in Donetsk and Kharkiv, with Ukrainian losses amounting to approximately 240 soldiers.
Formations of the Southern Group of Forces improved their tactical position in Donetsk, with the Ukrainian army losing approximately 320 soldiers.
Formations of the Eastern Group of Forces continued to advance deep into the enemy defenses in Donetsk, inflicting losses on the Ukrainian army estimated at approximately 130 soldiers.
Formations of the Dnieper Group of Forces struck enemy forces and equipment in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Oblasts, with the enemy losing approximately 90 soldiers.
Infrastructure facilities of a Ukrainian military airport, a drone production facility, and a drone boat warehouse were hit, in addition to temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian army and foreign mercenaries. 143 areas
Five JDAM guided air bombs, three US-made HIMARS missiles, and 204 drones were dropped.

In related news, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed resuming direct negotiations with Ukraine without preconditions in Istanbul on May 15, as stated by Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov. Peskov emphasized that the goal of the proposed talks with Ukraine is to eliminate the root causes of the conflict and secure Russia's interests. Eight people injured in Russian drones attack
Kyiv - (Saba): At least eight people were injured in an attack by Russian drones on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. The military governor of the Kharkiv region, Oleh Synyehubov, explained via Telegram that the attack resulted in eight injuries, including two young men. In the same context, Igor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, said that the attack targeted "one of the municipal institutions" in the city, using at least eight combat drones, without revealing the nature of the facility or revealing further details.
