Jesus Girl Gathering set to uplift, empower women

MINDEN, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—A movement rooted in faith, sisterhood, and healing is making its way to Minden with the 3rd annual Jesus Girl Gathering, hosted by Jesus Girl Enterprise on Thursday, June 13th, 7 p.m. at Elegance on Union, located at 310 E. Union Street in Minden, La. Founded by Shammia Williams, a preacher's kid turned community leader, Jesus Girl Enterprise began in 2018 as a small coffee shop conversation about Jesus, personal goals, and spiritual growth. Since then, it's blossomed into a powerful platform for women seeking to grow mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. 'You can expect breakthroughs, miracles, signs, and wonders at this event,' Williams said. 'It's a safe space for women who may be struggling in silence to heal and start feeling the weight lift from their shoulders.' Williams says her own journey from battling fear and shyness to walking boldly in her purpose fuels her passion to empower others outside the traditional church walls. The theme is 'Shades of Pink,' and attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite pink outfits. The event is free and open to the community, and vendor spots are still available.
