Sudanese army escalates , severing ties with UAE after failing international lawsuit!
Sudanese army officially announced severing diplomatic relations with UAE ,Today Tuesday , after its lawsuit against Abu Dhabi at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) failed.
This decision has sparked widespread questions about the future of relations between the two countries, especially amid escalating political and military tensions in the region.
Official local sources confirmed that Sudan's Army considers the UAE a "hostile state", accusing it of supporting RSF with advanced weaponry—something Khartoum described as "a blatant intervention in the country's affairs".
The decision came after the International Court of Justice refused to hear Sudan's case, stating that it "lacked jurisdiction", which was seen as a major legal and political setback for Khartoum.
The UAE, for its part, denied all Sudanese accusations, affirming that it advocates for a peaceful resolution to Sudan's conflict and describing Sudan's decision as "an unjustified escalation" that could further complicate the crisis in the region.
This escalation raises concerns about serious diplomatic consequences, particularly for Sudan's ties with Gulf nations.
The UAE had previously provided economic and humanitarian assistance to Sudan over the years.

UN experts demand safe passage for Freedom Flotilla Coalition to Gaza
Geneva – Saba: UN experts have called for ensuring the safe passage of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition's ship, carrying essential medical aid, food, and children's supplies to Gaza, which departed from Italy on Sunday. In a statement issued on Monday, the experts said: "The people of Gaza urgently need aid to avoid annihilation, and this initiative is a symbolic and powerful effort to deliver it. Israel must remember that the world is watching closely and refrain from any hostile acts against the Freedom Flotilla Coalition and its passengers," according to the official Palestinian news agency. They added: "The people of Gaza have the right to receive aid through their territorial waters, even under 'occupation,' and the coalition's ship has the right to free passage in international waters to reach Gaza's population. Israel must not interfere with freedom of navigation, long recognized under international law." The experts expressed deep concern over the safety of the flotilla's participants, given Israel's repeated violent attacks on human rights defenders, UN humanitarian missions, and civilian missions. In early May, the coalition sent a similar ship, which was struck by a drone off the coast of Malta. The UN experts stated: "Israel has imposed a comprehensive blockade on Gaza for 17 years. This siege has been total and absolute since March 2, 2025, preventing aid from entering the Strip for over 80 days, with only minimal amounts recently allowed in." They continued: "As the Freedom Flotilla Coalition's ship approaches Palestinian territorial waters off Gaza, Israel must abide by international law and comply with the International Court of Justice's (ICJ) orders to ensure unimpeded humanitarian aid access." In March 2024, the ICJ issued provisional measures recognizing the spread of famine in Gaza, signaling a risk of genocide. In November 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu, charging him with the war crime of starvation. The experts noted: "Yet, on March 1, 2025, Netanyahu announced a halt to all goods and supplies entering Gaza, in blatant defiance of international law." They added: "After over 600 days of Israel's starvation campaign and genocidal violence against the Palestinian people in Gaza, the situation has reached unprecedented horror." The experts emphasized that the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian Pier," backed by Israel and the U.S., is using aid as a weapon of war to displace, humiliate, and detain civilians. "These practices violate international legal principles of dignity, humanity, integrity, independence, and neutrality," they said, pointing out that acute child malnutrition surged by over 80% last March. "The pile-up of aid trucks at Rafah crossing while civilians starve and die is not a coordination failure but a deliberate use of humanitarian aid as a weapon, with apparent international complicity," the experts stated. They urged UN member states to fulfill their "legal obligation and moral duty to stop famine and genocide in Gaza" and called on the General Assembly to deploy peacekeeping forces to escort aid trucks under the "Uniting for Peace" resolution in the UN Charter. With U.S. and European support, the Israeli enemy army has committed genocidal crimes in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 54,470 Palestinians, mostly children and women, and injuring 124,693 others—figures that remain non-final, as thousands remain trapped under rubble or in streets inaccessible to rescue teams. Israel threatens to add settlements if great countries recognize Palestine
Occupied Quds - Saba: The so-called Israeli Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa'ar, threatened to impose sovereignty over the West Bank settlements and the Jordan Valley in response to any recognition of the State of Palestine by major powers, including Britain and France. The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom quoted Sa'ar on Monday as saying that "any unilateral steps against Israel will be met with unilateral steps from it," referring to Tel Aviv's intention to respond by annexing Palestinian lands if international recognition of a Palestinian state is granted. Israel Hayom said that this warning comes amid efforts led by French President Emmanuel Macron to hold an international conference in New York in mid-June to garner international recognition of a Palestinian state. Diplomatic sources told the newspaper that Macron is seeking to make June 18 the date for official announcements by several countries recognizing the Palestinian state. This has angered the Israeli government, which accused the French president of "deception," claiming that he had previously informed Tel Aviv not to take this step. 149 of the 193 UN member states recognize Palestine, and the Palestinians hope to achieve further recognition during the New York conference. On July 20, 2024, the International Court of Justice ruled that "the continued presence of the State of Israel in the occupied Palestinian territory is illegal," emphasizing that Palestinians have "the right to self-determination" and that "settlements established in the occupied territories must be evacuated." UN experts condemn renewed Israeli attacks on UNRWA schools in Gaza,, East al-Quds
Geneva - Saba: UN experts have condemned the recent attacks on UNRWA schools in Gaza and the Israeli occupation forces' storming and forcible closure of its schools in occupied al-Quds. The UN experts said in a statement on Tuesday that "attacks on schools are an assault on children, an assault on the right to a safe education, and a flagrant violation of international law, particularly in the context of an illegal occupation." Nearly three-quarters of school buildings in Gaza have been bombed by Israeli airstrikes since October 2023, including about a third of UNRWA schools, rendering the vast majority unusable. The experts stressed that this destruction demonstrates the devastating and lasting impact on the education of an entire generation of Palestinian children, whose education has already been disrupted for more than 19 months, and once hostilities cease, they will have no schools to return to. They continued: "All children are subjected to armed evacuation, with irreversible trauma that requires years of psychosocial support, which is unavailable to them. At least 300 UN staff members, most of them UNRWA aid workers, have been killed." The experts emphasized that "Israel has no authority to carry out these actions, while the International Court of Justice has ruled that Israel is obligated to dismantle its occupation." They added: "At the same time, it is bound by international humanitarian law, which protects schools from direct attacks, especially in the absence of hostilities in the area justifying evacuation." The experts also emphasized that "targeted attacks against civilians and civilian objects are absolutely prohibited under international humanitarian law and constitute war crimes. In the current context, such actions may amount to collective punishment." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
