With an impressive 93% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes, Apple TV+'s "The Studio" could very well be called Hollywood's favorite new comedy. But will Apple renew it for another season, and what should we expect if that happens?
Here's everything you should need to know for Season 2 of "The Studio".

What is Apple TV's 'The Studio' About?
"The Studio" is a comedy that satirizes what goes on behind the scenes in Hollywood. Seth Rogen stars as Matt Remick, who is promoted to the head of the fictional Continental Studios in the premiere episode. In classic "be careful what you wish for" fashion, Remick soon learns that being the head of a studio doesn't quite give him the freedom to create art that he'd always imagined.
How Many Episodes Were There in 'The Studio'?
There were ten total episodes in Season 1 of "The Studio":
Episode 1 - The Promotion
Episode 2 - The Oner
Episode 3 - The Note
Episode 4 - The Missing Reel
Episode 5 - The War
Episode 6 - The Pediatric Oncologist
Episode 7 - Casting
Episode 8 - The Golden Globes
Episode 9 - CinemaCon
Episode 10 - The Presentation
Will There Be a Season 2 of 'The Studio'?
Earlier in May, Apple let the world know that, indeed, "The Studio" had earned itself a second season.
Executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg sent out a press release, writing, "We're thrilled to be making a second season of The Studio. We're looking forward to taking the lived experience of making Season 1 and immediately putting it into Season 2, then repeating that loop for 10 more seasons. And, we're excited to keep all our industry friends and colleagues guessing as to when one of their personal stories will stream on Apple TV+."
Apple also released a Season 2 announcement teaser, which you can watch below.
What to Know About Season 2 of 'The Studio'
Season 1 of "The Studio" ends with a lot of big questions needing to be answered, and Season 2 will no doubt need to get busy answering them right away. First and foremost, there are the plans by Amazon to gobble up Continental Studios.
Will the eponymous studio become just another tool in Amazon's tool belt, or will Matt's presentation prove impressive enough to stop the sale?
Then there's the question of whether "Kool-Aid" will be the winner for the studio that everyone's hoping, or if Matt will end up wishing he'd let Martin Scorsese make his Jonestown version.

Proposal would provide more public transit options to Red Rocks and other area parks

DENVER (KDVR) — Getting to Red Rocks Amphitheatre and other parks in that area is not always easy. Under a new proposal, shuttles could be added to the public transportation mix, and those could be tested starting in August or September. Full list of concerts at Red Rocks in 2025 'The pilot will be a daytime pilot through the cities of Morrison and Golden, including Red Rocks,' said Denver City Council Member Darrell Watson. He says RTD's W line runs from Denver to Golden. Under the proposal, daytime shuttles would then be available to take people from there to Red Rocks, which is about three miles away, and to other parks in the area. The test run could happen over two weekends in August or September. Watson is working with Jefferson County Commissioner Andy Kerr and others to apply for a grant from RTD. 'That could provide up to $1,000,000 to make sure that this pilot that we are doing this summer, that we can actually extend that to the entire summer for 2026,' Watson said. The city council member hopes that this will lay the groundwork to expand the service to nighttime hours in order to accommodate concertgoers at Red Rocks. Free on Your TV • New FOX31+ App for Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV 'There are over a million concertgoers that go to Red Rocks every year, and most of those folks are driving from Denver,' he said. Public transportation, Watson said, could help address many issues. 'We believe it's a safety issue. We believe it's an environmental impact issue, and we see it as a great opportunity with the W line already going there,' he said. RTD says they will announce the latest round of grant recipients in August. The group is also looking for additional funding. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. 5 new to Max movies to stream in June with 90% or higher on Rotten Tomatoes

Summer is heating up, and so are the best streaming services with plenty of great new movies to beat the heat. Max is no exception, but with so much on offer, it can be tough narrowing down which movies are worth adding to your watchlist. That's why we've combed through all the new movies to Max in June 2025 to highlight the best of the best. Only movies with a 90% or higher critics' score on the review aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes make the cut. Granted, not every movie with a high rating is guaranteed to be a hit, but it is a useful metric to see which films are beloved by critics and audiences alike. This month's batch includes everything from iconic sci-fi movies to MGM classic musicals and award-winning documentaries. So let's dive into five new to Max movies with a 90% or higher on Rotten Tomatoes that you need to watch right now. Bong Joon-ho made cinematic history with "Parasite," the first Korean film to win an Academy Award and the first non-English language film ever to take home the coveted Best Picture crown. If you missed the buzz the first time around, I can't recommend "Parasite" enough. It follows the struggling Kim family, who get a rare stroke of luck when son Ki-woo (Choi Woo-shik) lands a job tutoring the daughter of the wealthy, unsuspecting Park family. With a forged diploma crafted by his sister Ki-jung (Park So-dam), he secures the gig and paves the way for the rest of the Kim family to infiltrate the household under false identities. Ki-jung poses as an art therapist for the Parks' young son, while their father Ki-taek (Song Kang-ho) and mother Chung-sook (Jang Hye-jin) replace the family's driver and housekeeper through a series of calculated deceptions. Everything goes according to plan until one mistake unravels their carefully constructed façade, setting off a chain of events that spiral into chaos. Rotten Tomatoes score: 99%Watch it now on Max The 1978 version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" is a perfect example of why some remakes are worth the wait. Donald Sutherland stars as Matthew Bennell, a health inspector in San Francisco who realizes too late that something sinister is happening. When his colleague Elizabeth (Brooke Adams) notices that her husband hasn't been acting like himself lately, together they start to uncover a terrifying truth: that a parasitic alien race has quietly begun taking over Earth. Unlike most remakes, this one was both a critical and commercial success. The 1978 "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" stands out for its eerie atmosphere and thoughtful approach, blending science fiction with sharp social commentary and a growing sense of paranoia that still hits just as hard today. Rotten Tomatoes score: 93%Watch it now on Max This 2016 documentary "I Am Not Your Negro" draws from the powerful, unfinished manuscript "Remember This House" by acclaimed American writer James Baldwin. Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, the film delivers an unflinching examination of racism in the United States, weaving Baldwin's words with historical footage and contemporary context that questions Black representation in Hollywood and beyond. Critically acclaimed, the documentary earned an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary Feature and won a BAFTA in the same category. While it may not be the easiest or most entertaining watch on this list, it stands out as perhaps the most essential. Baldwin's words, brought to life through director Raoul Peck, come together in a powerful watch that confronts and questions the very core of what America claims to represent. Rotten Tomatoes score: 99%Watch it now on Max I'm a sucker for a musical, and "Meet Me In St. Louis" is an old favorite, featuring the legendary Judy Garland in one of her most memorable roles. She stars as Esther Smith, one of four daughters in the close-knit Smith family, who has her eye on the boy next door (Tom Drake). Rather than following a single plotline, the film unfolds through a series of seasonal vignettes, capturing moments in the lives of the Smith family as they navigate life, love and progress at the turn of the century. "Meet Me in St. Louis" is best remembered for Garland's unforgettable vocal performances. The film also introduced several timeless earworms like 'The Trolley Song,' 'The Boy Next Door,' and the beloved holiday classic 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.' All three songs, written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane, remain iconic to this day. Rotten Tomatoes score: 99%Watch it now on Max All four of the original "Hunger Games" movies landed on Max this month, and whether you're a long-time fan or curious newcomer, I highly recommend diving into the series. Only one managed to crack a 90% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, though: the standout second film, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." It's a direct continuation of the first movie, so it's not an ideal place to jump in. If you haven't seen "The Hunger Games" yet, consider watching that first before adding this to your watchlist. "Catching Fire" picks up with Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) returning to District 12 after surviving the 74th Hunger Games. But their victory hasn't freed them from the Capitol's grasp. As they embark on the high-stakes Victory Tour, it becomes clear that rebellion is brewing across Panem. In response, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) devises a chilling plan to extinguish the growing unrest once and for all. Rotten Tomatoes score: 90%Watch it now on Max

How to Train Your Dragon vs Lilo & Stitch: which live-action remake scored better on Rotten Tomatoes?

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. The live-action remake of animated classics has been a trend for a while now, but it's hitting another level this blockbuster movie season, as moviegoers have the choice between two live-action remakes playing in movie theaters at the same time — How to Train Your Dragon, which releases everywhere on June 13, and Lilo & Stitch, which is playing in movie theaters right now. Lilo & Stitch is the latest in Disney's slate of live-action remakes, this one for the 2002 animated movie about a mischievous alien who is befriended by a young girl in Hawaii. Meanwhile, the live-action of 2010's How to Train Your Dragon about a young Viking who becomes the first in his village to befriend a dragon instead of hunt one, is one of the first live-action remakes of a DreamWorks Animation movie. Because of their proximity in release and the fact that they're targeting the same primary audiences (both young kids and even a number of adults who are nostalgic for the animated movies), How to Train Your Dragon and Lilo & Stitch are going to be compared to each other a lot, including with what so many movies are based on these days, their Rotten Tomatoes scores. With reviews for How to Train Your Dragon now available, we're making it easy for you to compare the two with a breakdown of how both movies are scoring on Rotten Tomatoes as of publication (we'll update this post as How to Train Your Dragon gets more reviews in). As of June 10, How to Train Your Dragon has an 83% 'Fresh' score on Rotten Tomatoes. The early takeaway from critics is that the movie is a faithful adaptation of the original animated movie, maybe too much so. Helen O'Hara of Empire Magazine wrote, 'It's clearly made with real love and care, but shows far too much deference to its progenitor. Even in a remake, we need more originality and less playing the hits.' Slant Magazine's Justin Clark adds, 'As heartwarming as this story remains at its core, it's hard to shake that you already know how it will play out.' However, a number of critics praised what the live-action remake brought to the table. Brian Truitt of USA Today called How to Train Your Dragon 'a heartwarming, meaty adventure perfect for a new generation of young film fan (sic) but doesn't forget to entertain the older movie kids, either.' The Associated Press' Lindsey Bahr wrote, 'It's the kind of immersive sensation and giddy wish fulfillment that might just have you forgetting momentarily to breathe and, maybe more importantly, that you're still in a movie theater.' At this time, there are no fan reactions or scores for the movie. For comparison, the original How to Train Your Dragon has a 99% 'Certified Fresh' score on Rotten Tomatoes. The bar that How to Train Your Dragon will have to clear with critics on Rotten Tomatoes is Lilo & Stitch's 72% 'Fresh' score. However, it's worth noting that the Disney live-action remake has a 'Verified Hot' score of 93% from general moviegoers. The original Lilo & Stitch animated movie earned an 86% 'Certified Fresh' score. The critic consensus on Rotten Tomatoes is reminiscent of How to Train Your Dragon — the remake recaptures a lot of what movie fans loved about the original, though critiques revolve it either not quite living up to the original. Still, at 72% 'Fresh,' Lilo & Stitch has one of the better scores for a Disney live-action remake (ahead of 2017's Beauty and the Beast and 2023's The Little Mermaid). While the critical consensus can sum up the general feelings about a movie, the biggest factor for whether a movie is a hit or not is how it performs at the box office. And in that regard, Lilo & Stitch is a bonafide hit. The movie has made $335.7 million as of publication in the US, and $772.5 million worldwide. Those numbers make it the second highest-grossing movie of 2025 in the US to date, and the third highest-grossing in the world. You can watch Lilo & Stitch in movie theaters right now, while How to Train Your Dragon premieres worldwide on June 13. If you want to rewatch the animated movies as well, Lilo & Stitch is streaming exclusively on Disney Plus, while How to Train Your Dragon is streaming on Peacock and Max.
