Ex-Soviet prison where pregnant Bella Culley faces life was slammed for not providing food or clothes to inmates' babies

HORRIFYING details about the brutal prison where Bella Culley faces life have emerged, as fears mount that the teen could raise her baby behind bars.
Tbilisi prison No 5 has been slammed for not providing clothes, shoes or even food to inmates' babies.

Bella faces a sentence ranging from 15 years to life in jail after she was arrested at Tbilisi airport for allegedly entering the country with 34 bags of marijuana hidden in her luggage.
The 18-year-old from Billingham, County Durham, claimed that she was pregnant in court earlier this week.
The bombshell news sparked fears for her unborn baby, who may be raised behind bars in Georgia's notorious prison No 5.
The ex-Soviet prison has previously been slammed for its grim conditions with a report raising concerns about the provision of clothes, shoes and even food for children on the inside.
The shocking report was published by Public Defender of Georgia in 2015 after a visit to the female-only prison.
According to the report, there were serious concerns over the provision of food for inmates' babies.
Mums reportedly complained about the restrictions on the amount of food provided for children, with just one litre of milk allowed per week.
Some mums even reported having to wait an entire month to receive the correct milk formula for their young ones.
And it's not just food that's cause for concern.
Inmate mums complained about a lack of clothing - especially warm jackets and boots - provided for their babies.
Dad of Brit Bella Culley, who's being held in Georgia after vanishing on Thai hols, shares his fears
This means for those inmates who cannot afford to buy extra clothes, their children are unable to leave the confines of the prison walls.
The mums also complained about a lack of hygiene products, with a meagre two pieces of baby soap every month.
They reportedly only receive small quantities of baby shampoo, baby powder, baby cream, baby oil, wet wipes, cotton buds, and delays in the supply-chain are not common.
And the prison rooms are far from comfortable with no curtains on the windows, disrupting the babies' sleep.
Experts have raised concerns for the unborn child which could spend the first three years of its life in these gruelling conditions.
One source said: 'The prison has childcare facilities but it's clearly not the best place to bring up a child.
'The complications all add to the awful dilemma facing the family.'
And it's not just the physical conditions inside the prison that experts are concerned about.
There are also fears for the psychological well being of the unborn child.
A 2018 report highlighting concerns about Georgian prisons warned that separating mothers from babies was 'very stressful for both'.
It added: 'They require specialised psychological support and adaptation periods that may require weekend release from prison.'

Eliso Rukhadze, Georgian women's rights defender and lawyer previously told The Sun: 'Bella will be transferred to a hospital to have the baby and then rushed back to prison.
'For up to three years, the child would grow up there and the mom would have unrestricted access to the child - including breastfeeding.
But Rukhadze warned that the child's nationality may cause "complications" in the process.
She said: "The nationality will add complications. If the child is Georgian, and the family is British, they will have to take extra steps to be given wardship of the child.
'It won't be put up for adoption. The child will only be given to members of the family, but it adds an extra layer of bureaucracy.'
Bella's pregnancy has yet to be confirmed by medical checks - but her dad Niel appeared distressed on Thursday as he faced the possibility of his first grandchild being born in prison.
The dad told The Sun: 'I'm sorry - I don't want to say anything.'
The teenager has not yet told her Georgian lawyer how she came to be carrying 31lbs of cannabis and hashish in a single hold bag.
She was arrested within minutes of her arrival on a £550 Air Arabia flight via Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates to Tbilisi last Saturday following a suspected tip-off.
Bella confided to a source close to the case that "love" was the reason she flew to Georgia.
The source said yesterday: 'She said she was in love and that love was the reason she flew out to the Far East.
'But she has said nothing about why she had the drugs.'
Bella's granddad William Culley, 80, revealed she appears to have spent most of March in Thailand but also spent time in the Philippines with a man called 'Ross or Russ'.
Video clips and snaps show the student holding onto a man as she rides pillion on a scooter and another shows her smoking a cannabis spliff.
Another on TikTok shows her joking about 'Bonnie and Clyde' crime hijinks and is captioned: 'Don't care if we on the run baby as long as I'm next to u.'
But Bella's male companion's face never appears in the posts and he is never tagged - and only his silhouette is seen.
It was unclear last night whether the mystery lover is the father of her child - whose birth looks certain to trigger uncertainty and heartache for her family.
Bella's father and aunt did not appear to have been allowed inside the women's prison as daily visiting times ended at 6pm local time on Thursday evening.
Her lawyer said that it could take up to five working days for them to be allowed in from the day she submitted a formal visit request on Thursday.

Georgia Harrison lands MBE while ex Stephen Bear moves to Brazil with teen girlfriend

Love Island star Georgia Harrison is set to be awarded an MBE as part of the King's Birthday Honours list next week for her campaigning efforts tacking violence against women Georgia Harrison has made history as the first Love Islander to be awarded an MBE for her campaigning on violence against women and girls. The reality TV star, 30, has reportedly made the King's Birthday Honours list and will officially receive her title next week. She is being recognised for her work to raise awareness of revenge porn and the issues surrounding consent as well as online safety. Georgia, who is pregnant with her first child, started her campaign when Stephen Bear shared explicit footage of her online without her consent and without her being aware she was filmed. ‌ Following the harrowing incident, Georgia bravely waived her right to anonymity in a bid to help others who might be going through something similar. ‌ Bear was jailed for 21 months in March 2023 after being found guilty of voyeurism by a majority verdict and guilty to two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress by a unanimous verdict by a jury. During the sentencing, Bear, 35, was given a restraining order and told not to contact Georgia for five years and was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register. Speaking in court, Georgia said that she felt 'violated' as she recalled the extent of the impact that the footage being published without her consent had on her life. 'I had to live in fear that this was going to come out and my family were going to know about it. It was just like the worst feeling you can ever possibly imagine. I felt violated, I felt embarrassed - I hated myself for a really long time,' she said. Bear, famed for his appearances on Celebrity Big Brother and Ex on the Beach, was released in January 2024 after serving just half his time in prison. In March 2024, he was ordered to pay £22,305, which would be given to HM Treasury and distributed to police charities, and was also ordered to pay £5,000 in compensation to Georgia for emotional and financial distress. ‌ Last year, Georgia released her memoir Taking Back My Power: Our Bodies. Our Consent in which she reflected on her nightmare. 'It's a hard read,' she admitted to the Mirror. 'There was a lot of traumatic things that happened to me very close together, but I hope that people can be inspired and hope I can truly help people going through hard times to navigate their journey and to have a bit of faith that it's not the end and there are tools to get through those moments. And once you do there's always something on the other side.' Following the news of Georgia's MBE recognition, a source told Daily Mail: "Georgia is incredibly proud to receive such an honour. She has been campaigning and working hard for many years now, to be recognised for her efforts means everything to her. ‌ "Georgia will continue to raise awareness, hopefully this will be the beginning of more improvements for women and girls and their fight for online safety." Shamed Bear now lives a very different life and a week after his prison release, he claimed he had 'no money' and 'cried himself to sleep' as he slept in his parents' spare room. In August 2023, it was reported that Bear put his three-bed Essex home on the market for £525,000. ‌ Although Bear attempted to present an image of wealth during his trial, the Rolls Royce he drove to court case was revealed to be rented, while his opulent-looking Rolex watches were found to be fake. In September 2023, Bear's loyal fiancée Jessica Smith had ditched him having previously vowed to stick by Bear's side. Jessica, who has since welcomed her first child, underwent laser treatment to have her tattoo tributes to Bear removed, which included an engagement ring tat and the name 'Stephen' inked across her arm. In January this year, Bear taunted the police as he posted a video from Brazil with his new 18-year-old girlfriend. "The police can't catch me now," Bear bragged. "Life's good. I thought I'd come on here guys and say I love you all, simple as that. I love you all. Stay true, because this year I'm fully active, I'm off licence. The police, they could still be after me, but I'm in Brazil. They can't catch me now. Catch me if you can." Bear continued: "I'm in Brazil, I don't know if you've heard. This is my 18-year-old Latina girlfriend, say hello baby. We just chilling, I got eight music videos I got to shoot while I'm in Brazil. Thinking of looking at some property while I'm over here." EXCLUSIVE Georgia Harrison to be awarded an MBE after campaigning on tackling violence against women following ex Stephen Bear's imprisonment

Georgia Harrison will be awarded an MBE for her campaigning efforts on tackling violence against women and girls. MailOnline can reveal the former Love Island star, 30, discovered she had made the King's Birthday Honours list a few weeks ago and is set to officially receive the accolade during the royal's annual celebrations later this month. The reality favourite turned documentary maker, who's currently expecting her first baby, is being recognised after dedicating her career to raising awareness of 'revenge porn' and issues surrounding consent, with the overall aim of improving online safety. In 2020, Celebrity Big Brother 's Stephen Bear shared explicit footage of Georgia on his OnlyFans profile without her consent and after successfully taking him to court, the Love Island: All Stars contestant was granted record damages of £207,900, the highest ever sum awarded in an image abuse case. Stephen, 35, famed for his appearances on TV show Ex on the Beach, was found guilty of voyeurism and disclosing private, sexual photographs and films, and was handed a 22-month prison sentence in 2022. After serving just half of his prison time, Stephen was released in January, but Georgia continues to campaign for women and girls following the painful 'violation' of her privacy. The former Love Island star discovered she had made the King's Birthday Honours list a few weeks ago and is set to officially receive the accolade during the royal's annual celebrations A source told MailOnline: 'Georgia is incredibly proud to receive such an honour. 'She has been campaigning and working hard for many years now, to be recognised for her efforts means everything to her. 'Georgia will continue to raise awareness, hopefully this will be the beginning of more improvements for women and girls and their fight for online safety.' The TV star has been at the centre of two ITV documentaries, Revenge Porn, and Porn, Power, Profit, which explored both her own personal experience and how predators make money from the industry. Georgia has spoken out about how she felt 'ashamed', 'violated', and 'used' after the recording of her having sex with Stephen went viral including on an endless list of porn websites. Speaking in Revenge Porn, Essex-born Georgia said: 'Two years ago, my life changed forever when CCTV footage of me having sex with Stephen Bear went viral. He filmed and shared it without my consent then tried to deny it was me… 'I think I expected some form of empathy, remorse, maybe that he would realise what he had done… what a slap in the face that on top of everything, he thought he could lie his way publicly through this.' On her decision to waive her right to anonymity, Georgia said ahead of speaking in court: 'Hopefully one day, girls can look at me and think 'She went in there and done it, she was strong. We can do it.' In 2023, Georgia attended a meeting at No 10 among other celebrities to discuss online abuse with Technology Secretary Michelle Donelan. Georgia was one of the voices that helped to establish the Online Safety Act 2023, which aims to make the internet safer for users by placing new duties on service providers. During the recorded meeting, Georgia explained how there needs to be more in place for victims of online crimes as well as support for those going through the legal process. She said: 'So many victims give up during the process because it is just too much for them, or they are not sure if they are doing or saying the right thing. Sometimes they feel like they are getting victim blamed slightly 'If they just had someone to lean on during the process they would not feel so much like they have to withdraw, they would have an inner strength in them, and they would have advice on what to do and what to say along the timeline of events.'

Real Housewives Of Atlanta drama over 'revenge porn' incident sends reunion into chaos

The drama over last year's 'revenge porn' incident has sent the season 16 reunion into chaos. The latest season started airing on Bravo a few months earlier in March - and had featured the moment when Kenya Moore reportedly showed explicit posters of castmate Brit Eady allegedly performing oral sex amidst filming in June 2024. Moore was then suspended 'indefinitely' from the series. However, she had stated that she was 'not going anywhere' and also called out the network for being a 'toxic environment.' The season 16 reunion was filmed on Thursday - with both Moore and Eady notably not making an appearance. Kenya jumped to X to issue a statement to her followers and expressed she was 'disappointed' to not take part in the reunion while also issuing an apology. 'I'm disappointed to not be a part of the #RHOA 16 reunion taping today,' the TV personality began. 'Please know I take full accountability for my actions and deeply apologize to all those affected including Brittney, the cast, crew, guests and viewers.' The reality star then seemingly teased a possible return to the show by adding, 'I look forward to seeing you all back on Bravo soon.' Eady - who was also absent from the reunion taping - issued a statement of her own on her Instagram stories on Thursday. Brit confirmed that she was not making an appearance in the reunion - but also claimed that she was actually not in the explicit posters that Moore had shown. 'As everyone is now aware, I'm not attending the Reunion. This was my decision. The events of this season have devastated me.' She continued, 'And while I cannot say much right now, I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode 5. That photo was not me. Eady explained that she initially did not see the picture and was simply 'made aware' of the image being showcased at Moore's hair salon event. Brit wrote that 'based on what I was told, assumed that it was somehow a photo of me - which is why I reacted in the way that I did. Brit confirmed that she was not making an appearance in the reunion - but also claimed that she was actually not in the explicit posters that Moore had shown 'I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me. I look forward to seeking accountability and moving past this dark part of my life. - Brit.' Sources informed TMZ that Bravo had wanted to film a one-on-one interview with Moore and Andy Cohen - which ended up not taking place. A separate insider told People that Eady chose to not attend the reunion taping while Moore was 'not invited.' Back in April, an episode titled About Last Night during the 16th season featured the moment when Moore had presented explicit photos which allegedly showed Eady performing oral sex. A message from the production appeared during the episode which read: 'Based on Kenya's behavior, the decision was made to cease filming with her this season.' The RHOA fan account @atlanta_housewives posted the message to Instagram and fans rallied behind Moore, with some calling her exit from the season 'unfair.' Eady had been feuding with Kenya since joining the reality series. In the episode leading up to the scene in question, Brittany seemingly threatened Moore not long after a group dinner. 'I don't play them games, I got whips, pistols, everything,' she had said at the time. In response while leaving the dinner, Kenya expressed: 'She talking about guns, she was talking about, "I still got my pistol on me." This girl is a problem. She gotta go, she gotta go for real, for real. Please let her do something to me, so she can go!' And during the specific episode of the incident, Moore celebrated the grand opening of her hair spa and some other cast members stopped by to help celebrate the big milestone. Eady also showed up with flowers as an apology for starting up a feud earlier in the season. However, Kenya notably did not accept the peace offering and said that Brittany was only using the situation for a 'moment' and insinuated the apology was not genuine. Moore then showed an explicit poster board at the event that allegedly showed Eady performing oral sex. The cast was left shocked over the move and Porsha Williams stepped out of the shop and stated, 'I want to just take my mic off. You can just act like I was never at this event.' The episode officially concluded with the message from the production that a decision had been that Moore would not film the rest of the season. The incident was first revealed last year in June when Kenya was suspended 'indefinitely' from RHOA following claims that she shared adult images of Eady - which she denied doing at the time. She took to her Instagram stories and wrote, 'Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. The truth always comes to light.' And in a separate post, Moore penned on X: 'I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed private images, nor solicited images owned by others to use or threaten or blackmail. 'I have always been vindicated. I can't talk about STORY even with people planting fake news.' Eady also shared a statement on Instagram that read, 'It's never a good feeling being targeted or HAZED by someone I thought would embrace me into a new circle, that I never met. 'For the record, I've never once had possession of any weapons or threatened anyone ever. I am hurt by the narrative that's being displayed. Wrong is wrong.' After her suspension was confirmed, Moore called out Bravo for being a 'toxic environment.' And in a separate post, Moore penned on X: 'I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed private images, nor solicited images owned by others to use or threaten or blackmail' She further shut down the claims on Instagram and revealed she has 'proof' for her defense. RHOA star Kelli Ferrell offered her thoughts about Moore's firing during an exclusive interview with last month in May. '[It was] surprising for everybody. I mean, who would've thought that that would be our final time in filming. 'I just felt like it was so many other things that we had left to discuss and talk about and connect on,' Ferrell added. 'I mean it's unfortunate. I think [for] all parties, it's just unfortunate.' Kelli also revealed she still will message Moore 'from time to time' and added, 'I love Kenya. I think Kenya is so amazing. I think she's such a boss. Me and Kenya had so many amazing things in common and I really wish her well. I really do.' The reality star also expressed that she 'hopes' Kenya can return to the Real Housewives franchise. 'I mean, Kenny and I had so many amazing moments together and I hope that we could film together again soon.' Also in April, Moore took to her YouTube channel to address the 'revenge porn' incident and issued an apology. 'It was wrong. I should not have done it at my salon I worked so hard for. I am very sorry that I shared the photos because it wasn't right. I did not break the law, and I'm very sorry for what I did...'
