Man arrested in connection with Monaghan and Lyons shooting
The two men were gunned down at Monaghans Bar in Fuengirola in the Costa Del Sol at around 11.30pm on Saturday, May 31.
According to tourists who witnessed the incident, they had been watching the Champions League final with friends before they were targeted.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed a man was arrested on Friday, June 13. in connection with the shooting.
The 44-year-old, from Merseyside, appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court this morning (June 14) to start extradition proceedings to Spain.
It's understood the man was taken into custody under an international arrest warrant issued by the Spanish authorities.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.
The Glasgow Times previously reported Spanish TV aired CCTV which showed 43-year-old Monaghan, with blood seeping through his white t-shirt from a chest wound, propping himself up on a table before collapsing.
It came seconds after Lyons Jnr, 46, was shot outside the premises.

The arrest comes after a Police Scotland spokesperson previously said there was no intelligence to suggest the shootings were linked to recent targeted attacks in the east and west of Scotland which are being investigated under Operation Portaledge.
So far, 44 people have been arrested in connection with the incidents.
Police added there is also nothing to suggest that the shooting in Fuengirola was planned from within Scotland.
A spokesperson previously said: "The investigation into the fatal shootings in Fuengirola is being carried out by Spanish police.
"Police Scotland is supporting Spanish police where requested, however, at this time, we have no officers deployed within Spain.
"There is currently no intelligence to suggest the deaths of these two men in Spain are linked to the recent criminal attacks in Scotland being investigated as part of Operation Portaledge.
"Any misinformation or speculation linking the events in Spain is not helpful to the ongoing investigations in either country.
"There is also nothing to suggest that the shooting in Fuengirola was planned from within Scotland."
Monaghan was acquitted of the murder of Kevin 'Gerbil' Carroll in 2010 after the judge at his 2012 trial ruled there was insufficient evidence.
Carroll was an enforcer for the rival Daniels family.
Eddie Lyons Jr was previously shot in 2006, in an incident that was believed to be part of a gang feud.
Monaghan was shot in the back after dropping his child off at a primary school in Glasgow in 2017. He is understood to have moved to Spain shortly after.

A man has died and an eight-year-old girl has been left injured after a four-storey building caught on fire. The fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning on Scott Street, with a man pronounced dead at the scene. An eight-year-old girl and a 27-year-old man were also taken to hospital. French beach patrols are left depleted during peak summer months as officers are redeployed to the south of the country to deal with tourist season, it has been claimed. A former Home Office official told The Mail on Sunday it was believed that the French would retain a 'nominal number' on the north coast to stop channel crossings, but would divert resources elsewhere to cope with an influx of tourists flocking to enjoy the sunshine. This would leave patrols in the north at their weakest just as smugglers were ramping up operations to take advantage of calmer seas. It comes as one gendarme told this newspaper there were already 'not enough' police to stop the crossings. Such complaints are unlikely to go down well in Westminster, after the UK struck a deal with the French in 2023 to provide £480 million over three years to tackle the problem. The money was supposed to double the number of personnel deployed on beach patrols, while providing for a new, highly trained, permanent French mobile policing unit, additional drones, aircraft and other surveillance technology. But the Home Office source said it was thought some gendarmes 'get sent to tourist hotspots during the summer', in a move indicative of French priorities. The source also said this was the case for 'big events in Paris' that required heavy policing. The day with the most migrants crossing the Channel this year was May 31, when 1,194 made the trip. That coincided with the Champions League Final, an event that drew a large police operation in Paris due to Paris Saint-Germain's participation. France's PAF frontier police have previously conceded that beach patrols are scaled back during the summer as gendarmes take advantage of generous holiday allowance. UK Border Force sources have warned that people traffickers are aware of these holiday patterns and plotted to 'take advantage'. Man arrested over alleged 'gangland' shooting in bar in Spain named
The 44-year-old man arrested has been named after Spanish authorities issued an international arrest warrant following the alleged killings of Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr. A man arrested after two senior figures from a Scottish organised crime group were murdered in a Spanish bar has been named. Ross Monaghan, 43, and Eddie Lyons Jnr, 46, were shot dead at Monaghan's Bar in Fuengirola in the Costa Del Sol on May 31. Michael Terrence Riley, 44, from Merseyside, was arrested in England on Friday evening in connection with the alleged shootings in the Costa del Sol on May 31, the Liverpool Echo reports. He is due to appear in court next week after an appearance at Westminster Magistrates' Court this morning, Saturday June 14. Riley faces extradition to Spain after an international arrest warrant was issued by Spanish authorities. Spanish police want to question Riley about the double killing at the Irish bar in Malaga. Monaghan, 43, and Lyons Jnr, 46, died after a masked gunman opened fire at around 11pm on May 31. Any extradition would have to be approved by a UK court. Shocking footage captured the chilling moments after the incident as a passerby desperately tried to save fatally shot gangster Eddie Lyons. A witness recorded the footage, which was seen by the Record, after hearing the gunshots outside the Monaghan's pub in Fuengirola in the Costa Del Sol. It shows them arriving at the boozer where one female Good Samaritan is attempting CPR on stricken Lyons outside. The voice of a man crouching next to Lyons can be heard repeatedly saying 'help him' as the woman unsuccessfully tries to revive Eddie. It is understood the shootings are not linked to Scotland's ongoing gangland war which has been raging on with incidents across the central belt since March. Cops announced on Friday, June 13, that two more men have been arrested in connection with the gang violence in Edinburgh and Glasgow, bringing the total to 44. Detective Chief Superintendent Dave Ferry said: 'Our continued activity and arrests show our commitment to targeting organised crime and bringing those responsible to justice. 'We continue to investigate and follow a number of positive lines of enquiry. The support and response from the public has been excellent, and I am grateful for the assistance given to us and that continued support from local communities is crucial as we progress our enquiries.
