Mahesh Babu is working with filmmaker SS Rajamouli for the first-time ever in SSMB29. This one has been marked as a globe-trotting adventure and has been extensively shot in various scenic locations in India and abroad.
The film is not only being made on a huge budget and mammoth scale, but it has also roped in several A-listers from the fraternity. Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran are two such actors who are playing key roles in the film.
Allu Arjun's superhero project AA22
Up next we have Allu Arjun who is coming with Atlee for a superhero project, titled AA22. The film was recently announced and is another pan-India project in the making. Since it's the first collaboration between the actor-director duo, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it an impactful one.
As per the latest reports, the film will use extensive VFX for which Atlee has been taking help from LA experts. Reports suggest that Allu Arjun will have a triple role, and as per ongoing buzz, the film will have 6 heroines in total.
Prabhas' big-budget cop drama Spirit
Finally, we have Prabhas whose pan-India mega project is with filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Titled Spirit, the film is an avenging cop drama where the actor will pull off an unforgettable role.
The makers recently announced finalizing Triptii Dimri as the leading lady. Reports further suggest that she would play the role of a doctor in the film. Spirit would be beyond a mass entertainer and will present a new dimension altogether.

Mumbai: ZEE5 , the streaming platform owned by Zee Entertainment , aims to reduce its operating losses by 50-60% in FY26, president of digital businesses and platforms Amit Goenka said. The OTT industry has shifted its focus to achieving profitability after years of heavy investments in subscriber acquisition, which had taken a toll on their P&L. ZEE5 is the only division in Zee Entertainment that is not yet profitable, and we are looking to make it Ebitda-positive," he said. According to Goenka, producing content at a competitive price has been Zee's strength, and the company wants to maintain the cost advantages it has built over the years. Live Events ZEE5's focus on investing more in the story than in the star cast has helped it reduce costs-unlike other major streamers who spend huge amounts of money on star-driven shows, he noted. "We will control our costs and at the same time deliver quality content to audiences," he said. ZEE5 is planning to launch 100 content titles in FY26, with a focus on language-based offerings in markets like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and Bengali. In FY25, the platform launched 60 pieces of content across movies and originals. Goenka also downplayed concerns that stringent cost controls would impact revenue growth, even as the platform competes with giants like Netflix, Prime Video and JioHotstar. ZEE5's revenue grew by 6% in FY25 to ₹976 crore. "Controlling costs can still help you grow users and offer a great content experience because how you tell the story is more important than the face behind it," he said. While ZEE5 has a hybrid subscription and ad-led model, Goenka sees a lot of potential in the subscription model and intends to partner with telcos, broadband players and other distribution platforms to reach new audiences in tier-2 and -3 cities. The platform also aims to double down on technology to improve user experience and experiment with emerging genres like short-form vertical video.

Hyderabad: Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday announced that the Telangana Gaddar Film Awards ceremony will be held on June 14. At a high-level review meeting, he directed officials to prepare a comprehensive detailed project report for transforming Greater Hyderabad into a world-class film city, complete with a streamlined single-window clearance system. Heading the three-member ministerial committee tasked with the development of the film industry in the state, Bhatti asserted that Hyderabad would soon emerge as a premier destination for both Indian and international film productions. He instructed officials from the information department and the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) to prepare the project roadmap without delay. "Currently, film producers are required to secure separate permissions from various departments—police, fire, municipal bodies—creating unnecessary hurdles. To address this, we have decided to implement a single-window clearance system," the deputy CM said. He also ordered the appointment of a dedicated liaison officer within TFDC to coordinate and expedite all approvals, ensuring filmmakers face minimal red tape. Bhatti emphasised that promoting film shoots in scenic locations across Telangana would simultaneously boost the state's tourism industry. He also raised concerns over the exorbitant prices of food and beverages sold at cinema theatre canteens, stating that cine-goers were being unfairly burdened.
