TPIsoftware Drives Vietnam's Industry 4.0 by Accelerating Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park Green Transformation with Newly-Launched ESG Platform 'Shinec Digital Green Economy'
TAIPEI, June 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Shinec Joint Stock Company, the developer of Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park (IP), officially launched its ESG application platform, "Shinec Digital Green Economy," marking a significant milestone on its journey toward sustainable development. This event not only represents a major step in the comprehensive digitalization of the IP's operational management but also affirms Nam Cau Kien's pioneering role in creating an eco-industrial park, advancing towards Net-Zero targets, and unlocking the potential for carbon credit generation. TPIsoftware supports the park sustainability initiative with the "Shinec Digital Green Economy" platform, a comprehensive solution powered by the company's GreenSwift (smart carbon management platform) and ElectriSwift (smart energy management system), with GGI Technology serving as the ESG consultant. The platform functions as an intelligent IP management system focused on digitalizing environmental management, emissions control, and security. Through this platform, the solution provides a holistic management system, from real-time carbon emissions data collection and analysis of emission and energy consumption hotspots to recommending and monitoring improvement strategies. The superiority of "Shinec Digital Green Economy" is demonstrated through its diverse integrated features: Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Management (powered by GreenSwift): Streamlines carbon data collection, analysis and reporting, ensuring auditing and inventory efficiency through an integrated platform, aligning the inventory process with international standards such as ISO 14064-1. Smart Energy Management (powered by ElectriSwift): Monitors and detects energy inefficiencies based on acquired power usage patterns, providing insights into energy consumption with real-time alerting for optimized energy-saving strategies. Wastewater Monitoring and Treatment: Tracks water quality indicators (pH, TSS, COD, BOD, Ammonia) before and after treatment and calculates the corresponding GHG emissions. Intelligent Security Monitoring: Integrates AIoT into the camera system to issue instant security alerts for events such as crowd detection, fence climbing, accidents, and fires. Visual Reporting: Provides an intuitive dashboard on both mobile and web platforms, allowing management to access reports anytime, anywhere, facilitating timely and effective decision-making. In the face of intense pressure from global climate change, Carbon Management Systems (CMS) are emerging as a new global trend, aligning with international accords such as the Paris Agreement (2015), Net Zero 2050, and COP26/COP28. These frameworks compel businesses to reduce carbon emissions. Regulations like the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) impose carbon tariffs on imported goods, forcing exporting enterprises to measure and manage their carbon footprint. Globally, CMS is becoming mandatory for listed companies (under IFRS S2, CSRD), while carbon pricing (taxes, ETS) is being strengthened in developing nations. Japan and South Korea are leading with carbon pricing policies (carbon tax, ETS), with corporations like Toyota and Samsung already implementing CMS to achieve their Net Zero 2050 goals. Indonesia and Malaysia are focusing on CMS in the oil and gas and agricultural sectors. The Indian government has promoted its Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS) since 2023. China is at the forefront of implementing robust policies to support its businesses in transitioning towards carbon neutrality by 2060 and is a pioneer in IP carbon management, investing in carbon offset projects across ASEAN and Africa. Vietnam is committed to achieving net zero by 2050 and will pilot a carbon credit exchange, including mechanisms for trading and offsetting credits, while preparing to officially launch a carbon credit trading floor connected to regional and international markets by 2028. CMS adoption in Vietnam is expected to grow, driven by FDI and export requirements. The government will support SMEs through tax incentives and training. Vietnamese businesses are encouraged to invest in CMS early to mitigate carbon tax risks and enhance global competitiveness. Investing in this green and digital solution not only helps Nam Cau Kien IP optimize operations and reduce costs through efficient energy and resource use but is also a strategic move to enhance its brand reputation through environmental responsibility. This positions the IP to achieve ISO certifications for energy management (ISO 50001) and carbon neutrality (ISO 14068). Furthermore, the next phase of the project is expected to digitize green spaces—which account for 31% of the entire IP, including trees, shrubs, lawns, and water features—and renewable energy sources. This will create a solid foundation for calculating carbon sequestration and tapping into the future carbon credit market for the developer. Nam Cau Kien Industrial Park, under Shinec's strategic investment, marks the group's commitment to creating an eco-industrial park model toward achieving carbon neutrality. The collective efforts of Shinec's pioneering vision, GGI Technology's expert consultancy, and TPIsoftware's strengths in implementing impactful sustainability initiatives are poised for broader deployment across Shinec's eco-industrial parks and other industrial parks in Vietnam. The launch of "Shinec Digital Green Economy" not only elevates the stature of Shinec and Nam Cau Kien IP within the Vietnamese and regional industrial park landscape but also builds significant credibility for its implementation partners, GGI Technology and TPIsoftware. It affirms their capacity to consult on and deliver advanced green technology solutions, contributing significantly to Vietnam's national sustainable development goals. Sennheiser introduces Profile Wireless 1-channel mic and releases 32-bit float firmware update
New system caters to solo creators, while keeping users' options for upgrading open SINGAPORE, June 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Sennheiser announced a one-channel version of its Profile Wireless 2.4 GHz all-in-one microphone solution. The streamlined single-mic system comes in a compact bag and includes a second USB charging cable instead of the charging bar of the two-channel version launched in late 2024. Designed to be lightweight and ultra-portable, the one-channel version covers typical usage scenarios of solo creators, while allowing for later expansion of the system by including the same two-channel receiver as the Profile Wireless 2-channel system. Also, a 32-bit float firmware update for all Profile Wireless systems is available for download on the Sennheiser website from today. Streamlined one-channel version "Following the huge success of the Profile Wireless 2-channel system, we're now catering to the solo creator, who does not require the full two-channel package but would rather like to save on weight and cost and still have Sennheiser audio quality," says Hendrik Millauer, Product Manager Broadcast & Film at Sennheiser. "Profile Wireless 1-channel is also ideal for the casual user looking for a wireless mic to hook up to their laptop, for example." Just like the two-channel version, the solo system is quick and easy to set up – no app required. It can be used on cameras, with smartphones and computers, and can be combined with an external lavalier microphone or even used to create a wireless boom. The mic has an operating time of up to seven hours, and 16 GB of memory for up to 30 hours of internal recording. The Profile Wireless 1-channel mic system comes in a rugged pouch that includes the clip-on microphone with mini windshield and magnetic mount, a two-channel receiver, two USB cables, USB-C and Lightning adapters, a camera cable and a shoe mount adapter. As all Profile Wirelesss components can also be bought separately, nothing stands in the way of expanding the system to two channels at a later point in time. 32-bit float update for Profile Wireless "With the latest Profile Wireless firmware update, we're addressing user requests for a 32-bit float functionality," says Millauer. "This will allow creators to record with extremely high dynamic range, and help them to recover clipped audio." For 32-bit float recording, Profile Wireless combines the audio signals of the two A/D converters inside the Profile Wireless mics to create a single 32-bit float audio stream. Creators who prefer 24-bit recording due to its lower memory requirement still have the option to deactivate 32-bit float recording and turn on the Safety Channel Mode. This will output a ‑6dB version of the audio in addition to the original sound level and thus help protect against clipping. To update their Profile Wireless system to firmware version V4.1.0, creators are asked to visit Under Downloads, they will find various firmware updates for Mac and PC, with a smart tool guiding them through the update process for the receiver and transmitter(s). Please note that the first batches of the Profile Wireless 1-channel mic also need to be updated to firmware version V4.1.0. Millauer concludes, "With the addition of the one-channel system and 32-bit float recording, Profile Wireless becomes the most versatile tool for creators who value excellent sound and see it as a key differentiator for quality content." The Profile Wireless 1-channel mic is available from today and retails at EUR 199 (MSRP), USD 199 (MAP), or GBP 169 (MSRP). Tariffs could hit bike shops hardest
(WHTM) — The latest tariffs on imported aluminum and steel are expected to impact one local business model more than any: bicycle shops. When it comes to imported metals, bikes just might top the list. Think aluminum frames and steel petals. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox. Subscribe Now 'The majority of the bikes we sell are gonna be made out of aluminum,' said Michael Haas, a bike shop manager. 'But anything we get in framewise is going to come from abroad.' The biggest brand his shop offers, Specialized, is headquarter in California but manufactured in Taiwan and other countries. That starts to add up with President Donald Trump's 50% tariffs on imported metals. While bike shops say they started seeing the impact of thee tariffs about a month ago, most of the bikes consumers see in stock have been in the country for two, three or four months. So, tariffs may not have affected the prices of what's in store just yet. Haas recommends buying now before they do. 'It's definitely not fun for the customer when they see prices raised,' Haas said. 'So, we are doing as much as we can.' PA House passes bill requiring American-made steel in tax-payer funded projects Shops like his are trying to absorb the costs, but consumers will start to see prices rise starting this summer. E-bikes are especially hard hit. But just like with many things, bikes won't have tariffs if they are made in the United States with American steel. That could take a while to happen.
