Soft power or just quirky? However you regard the Eurovision song contest... there will be many bleary-eyed Australian enthusiasts in the next 72 hours as the final stages of the contest gets underway.
It's Switzerland's third time hosting the event and the first time since 1989!
Australian entry Go Jo has yet to take the stage but will do so in tomorrow's semi final.
Estonia's entry - by artist Tommy Cash - contains some Italian references prompting some to call for the entry to be banned.
