2025 Kia Tasman drive-away pricing detailed
After detailing recommended retail prices for its first ute in April, Kia has now published a list of drive-away prices for the all-new dual-cab range.
The 2025 Kia Tasman lineup will open at $42,990 before on-road costs or $46,490 drive-away for the entry-level S 4×2 dual-cab pickup.
The range tops out at $77,990 drive-away for the X-Pro 4×4.

Thus far, Kia has only published pricing for the dual-cab pickup, which will be the only body style available when customer deliveries begin in July.
Dual-cab/chassis variants will follow in August, followed by single-cab/chassis versions in late 2025. Pricing, either with or without on-road costs, has yet to be announced for these derivatives.
Compared to the most affordable single-turbo, dual-cab 4×2 pickup version of the top-selling Ford Ranger, the base dual-cab 4×2 Tasman pickup is more affordable.
Based on a New South Wales post code, the Ranger XL Double Cab 4×2 pickup costs $49,734 drive-away.
Likewise, the Toyota HiLux WorkMate 4×2 Hi-Rider dual-cab pickup is more expensive than the base Tasman at $49,988 drive-away in NSW, though you can get the popular ute with petrol power and a lower ride height for less than the base Tasman.

However, a Ranger Wildtrak Double Cab 4×4 pickup with the 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel four-cylinder engine is priced at $76,883 drive-away, which makes it more affordable than the flagship Tasman X-Pro. A Toyota HiLux Rogue can be had for $77,499 drive-away, also undercutting the top Tasman.
You can also get a Ranger Sport with the optional turbo-diesel V6 for around $600 more in NSW than a four-cylinder Tasman X-Pro.
There's only one other Korean ute available in Australia, the KGM Musso. Available only with four-wheel drive and a dual-cab pickup body style, the Musso is priced from $38,000 to $46,500 drive-away.
All Tasmans are powered by a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine producing 154kW of power and 440Nm of torque, mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

2026 Ford Territory revealed: Familiar name for fresh-faced SUV
A new Ford Territory is scheduled to land showrooms in South America, Southeast Asia and South Africa from next month, the famous Australian name now applied to a Chinese-made SUV. There are no plans to bring the Territory to local showrooms, and the updated model is not related – apart from its name – to the Australian-made Territory sold here between 2004 and 2016. With sales kicking off in Brazil in July 2025, the 'Novo Territory' is a mid-life update of the current model. Ford is looking to capitalise on the SUV's strong sales, which quadrupled in Brazil over the last 12 months. 'Territory is the model of our portfolio that has grown the most in the last year in Brazil and South America and has room to advance even further,' Antonio Baltar Junior, Ford South America director of sales, marketing and services, said in a statement. Supplied Credit: CarExpert The Territory continues with a single model grade in Brazil, the Titanium Turbo EcoBoost priced at R$215,001 ($60,372) before on-road costs – R$3001 ($800) more than the previous model – with only key details announced so far. The biggest change is the new squared-off styling with redesigned bumpers front and rear featuring integrated fog lamps, while L-shaped 'optical' LED headlights with LED daytime running lights extend into the lower front bumper. The front also sees a new thinner, black front grille and central but raised Ford blue-oval logo in a similar style to the final Ford Escape SUV – and Fiesta and Focus hatchbacks – dropped from Australian showrooms. There are also 19-inch silver alloy wheels – bigger than any standard showroom wheel fitted to the previous Australian Territory – and more colour coding for the mirrors and door handles, peppered with chrome elements such as the side window surrounds. This model has been on sale since 2018, with the current, second generation launching in 2022. There are no changes to the key dimensions – with a 4630mm length making it 10mm longer than the previous Escape and 15mm longer than a Toyota RAV4 – and a significant 258mm shorter than the final Australian Territory (4888mm) sold in 2016. Ford Brazil says the cabin benefits from new finishes, such as new grey and brown colours, with electrically adjustable seats with 'micro-perforated' leather upholstery as well as cooling. A panoramic sunroof, rotary gear shifter and 12.3-inch centre touchscreen with Ford Co-Pilot 360 driver assist tech – including Parking Assist – are also standard, along with a 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument cluster and wireless smartphone charging. Only front-wheel drive is available. The Ford Territory was introduced in Australia in 2004 and is one of the automaker's key masterstrokes. The Australian-made SUV was also exported to multiple markets, including South America and South Africa where it introduced the Territory name which remains in showrooms today. The rear-wheel drive Ford Falcon family sedan/wagon/ute was the basis for the Australian-made Territory. The large crossover SUV offered a masterclass in exterior design with 178mm of ground clearance and up to seven seats, combined with clever features such as an opening rear windscreen and 'wet area', all while using the Falcon's powerful 4.0-litre in-line six-cylinder petrol engine and offering strong 2300kg towing capability. From a manufacturing viewpoint, it also allowed parts sharing and development cost efficiencies, with the Territory and Falcon's corresponding improvements feeding into each other. Supplied Credit: CarExpert It won significant praise from the motoring media at its launch, catching arch-rival Holden flat-footed despite it cleverly using the Falcon-rivalling Commodore for a raft of different body types – yet not a thoroughly executed SUV like Territory. Holden did offer the Adventra, a jacked-up version of the Commodore wagon with all-wheel drive, but it was short-lived and its sales numbers paled in comparison to those of the Territory. A turbo-diesel version of the Territory added in 2011 helped improve fuel economy as well as increase its braked towing capacity to 2700kg for all-wheel drive variants. While Falcon sales tailed off as Ford Australia production wound down, the Territory remained a strong seller for the brand until production ended in October 2016 – easily outlasting its short-lived replacement, the Canadian-built Ford Endura (Ford Edge overseas) sold here between 2018-2020. Cadillac is going where Tesla went before
It's not often Brisbane gets something before Melbourne, but that's exactly what's happening with Cadillac's network of Experience Centres. After opening its first Australian Experience Centre late last year in Sydney, at the Rosebery Engine Yards, General Motors' luxury brand is opening its next one in Brisbane. While Cadillac has confirmed it plans to open a retail outlet in Melbourne, it has yet to find a suitable location and is instead relying on pop-up locations. Cadillac hasn't officially announced its Brisbane location yet, but temporary signage has appeared at a location in Fortitude Valley. The company has yet to confirm when the Experience Centre will open this year, though Tesla signage is still visible on the walls inside. 2026 Audi RS6: V8 to live on alongside new EV
The 2026 Audi RS6 won't ditch its V8 engine but it will gain a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system and be sold alongside the electric RS6 e-tron, marking the first time the Audi Sport division has offered both electric and combustion-powered RS6s. According to Autocar, the next RS6 is expected in European showrooms in 2026 with Australia following shortly after, and Audi has been testing a V8 PHEV powertrain – much like that employed by the rival BMW M5. The move comes after a previous decision to make the next RS6 full-electric only was reversed after slower than anticipated sales for electric vehicles (EVs) saw the company ditch plans to sell only EVs by 2033. The strategic rethink also saw Audi confirm it would develop a new line of internal combustion engines to play a role in expanding its lineup of hybrid vehicles. The 2026 RS6 e-tron, like the A6 e-tron it's derived from, will sit on the Volkswagen Group's Premium Platform Electric (PPE) underpinnings, with the 2026 RS6 hybrid using the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture like the new-generation Audi A6 it's based on. The ability to produce both is helped by other brands within the Volkswagen Group, including Porsche, continuing to offer internal-combustion-engine hybrids alongside EVs, splitting development costs across more models. While the RS6 is a rival to the BMW i5 M60 and BMW M5 PHEV, given its similar size and price, the move more closely resembles the decision by BMW's M division to introduce both EV and hybrid models of the next BMW M3 on different platforms. Supplied Credit: CarExpert Further hedging its bets, Audi will offer the RS6 in sedan and wagon body styles – reintroducing the sedan for the first time since 2010 – according to Autocar. The next RS6 is set to be the most powerful RS6 yet with the hybrid version expected to use a further developed version of the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 – used by Porsche and Bentley – which makes 453kW/850Nm in the current RS6. Teamed with plug-in hybrid tech including an electric motor integrated into the transmission and a lithium-ion battery, power will jump to as much as 575kW/100Nm – the output the powertrain makes in the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. This endows the Panamera with a 2.9-second 0-100km/h time and 325km/h top speed. Supplied Credit: CarExpert Those sorts of figures, if achieved in the RS6, would outmuscle the latest G90 BMW M5's performance, which sees 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds and a 305km/h top speed from its 727kW V8 PHEV. The RS6 e-tron is expected to build on the current Audi S6 e-tron – due in Australia this year with a 405kW/856Nm dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain – by some margin and will be offered with the same 94.8kWh battery as the standard A6 e-tron. Audi's current high-performance EV is the RS e-tron GT performance, which produces 680kW and does the 0-100km/h dash in 2.5 seconds. A source told Autocar, however, that the RS6 e-tron is unlikely to be as powerful though there will be a 'solid increase' over the S6 e-tron. Both petrol-hybrid and EV RS6s will look the part, with pumped-up body work, larger front air intakes as well as large alloy wheels housing high-performance brakes.
