Woman wanted on federal warrant arrested in East El Paso
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A woman who had a federal warrant out for her arrest led law enforcement on a short pursuit on Monday, May 19, in East El Paso, according to the El Paso County Constable's Office for Precinct 3.
The Constable's Office says a sergeant saw a 2018 Audi traveling northbound at the 1100 block of North Yarbrough that Monday and attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation.
The vehicle, which was being driven by Yahima Maria Sinatra, 33, disregarded the sergeant and fled northbound.
The County Constable's Office says the vehicle came to a rest at a parking lot on the 2100 block of North Yarbrough after hitting a median.
Sinatra exited the vehicle and fled westbound across Yarbrough on foot. She was apprehended a short time later.
The County Constable's Office says a male passenger also fled from the vehicle and was not found.
Officials discovered that Sinatra had a federal warrant for harboring undocumented migrants.
Sinatra was turned over to U.S. Marshal deputies for booking.
Methamphetamine and marijuana were found inside the vehicle, the Constable's Office said.
The Constable's Office says drug charges will be added at a later date.

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Las Cruces Police have released photos of a vehicle believed to have been driven by the suspect involved in the shooting that killed a 14-year-old boy earlier this week. As we've previously reported, the shooting happened around 9 p.m. on Monday, June 2, near the intersection of Solano Drive and Spruce Avenue, where 14-year-old Alejandro Roman died as a result of an alleged road rage incident. Las Cruces Police: 14-year-old dead after alleged road rage shooting According to Las Cruces Police, the suspect is believed to be a male who was driving a white Honda Odyssey or a similar vehicle, such as a minivan or sport utility vehicle. Las Cruces Police said they have obtained the images of the suspect vehicle and are releasing them in hopes of someone recognizing the vehicle or the person who was driving the vehicle on the evening of the shooting. Anyone who has information on who might be responsible for the deadly shooting is asked to call police at (575) 526-0795. According to Las Cruces Police, Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Doña Ana County is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest. To be eligible for the Crime Stoppers reward, tips must be sent to Crime Stoppers. Information can be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Teenager killed in Sheffield crash came to UK months ago 'for a better future'
A teenager who died after being hit by a car in Sheffield had recently come to the UK from Yemen looking "for a better future", his loved ones said. Abdullah Yaser Abdullah Al Yazidi, 16, wanted to be "friends with everybody" and would "light up" people's faces with a big smile", according to his relatives and friends. After arriving in the UK from Yemen two or three months ago, he had devoted himself to learning English ahead of starting at college in September, they said. His relative, Saleh Alsirkal, runs a corner shop that the teenager popped into just before he was . "His dad brought him over to change his life, to get a better future for his son, but this has happened and destroyed everything," said Mr Alsirkal. Mr Alsirkal said Abdullah was a "kind boy" who just wanted to look after his family, including his three sisters and was really enjoying learning English. "Every time he had a new word to learn, he was so excited about it," he said. "It meant a lot to him and he learned quick. Sometimes he would stay in the shop just so he could talk to people. He tried to be friends with everyone." "He wanted to be the main guy for the family. He was 16 years old, but he was a clever man," said Mr Alsirkal. Abdullah's friend, Oasmah Thabet, said the teenager "really cared for his family". "You can really tell the character of somebody by the support they give to their family," he said. "To the people who would come around and just say hello to him, he would light up their faces with a big smile. "I'd like to think that we related in the sense that both our families migrated from Yemen to here. "The reason our family came here was for a better life - to live the dream. "For something to happen like this and for your dreams to be cut so short, it's a tragic loss for the family and it's just a shock that can't be described." The teenager was walking along Staniforth Road, in the Darnall area of , when he was hit by the car. The grey Audi also hit an e-bike, leaving an 18-year-old man with serious injuries, before leaving the scene. Police are still questioning a 20-year-old man on suspicion of murder and attempted murder after he was arrested in Kent on Thursday. "This is a heartbreaking case in which a completely innocent boy has lost his life," said Detective Chief Inspector Benjamin Wood. "Our thoughts remain with Abdullah's family and our priority is securing justice for them. "A murder investigation has been launched and we have a team of detectives working around the clock. "I am renewing our message to not share footage of this incident which may cause further distress to Abdullah's loved ones." DCI Wood asked for anyone with footage or information to contact officers and said he was keen to hear from the riders of two electric bikes who were in the area at the time. Two people, a man, aged 46, and a woman, aged 45, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have both been bailed pending further inquiries, police said.

Boy, 16, killed in hit and run crash named locally
A teenage pedestrian who was killed in a hit and run crash in Sheffield has been named locally. Abdullah Yaha Al-Zaidy, 16, was struck by a grey Audi which is believed to have been driven towards three electric bikes on Staniforth Road in Darnall on Wednesday afternoon. One of the e-bike riders, an 18-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital. A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday. Residents and local councillors have now paid tribute to the boy, who "always gave the best smiles", and said his death as he walked along the pavement behind the e-bikes had shocked the community. Three people, a 45-year-old woman and two men aged 26 and 46, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three remain in custody. Abdullah was described as an "innocent bystander" to the incident by South Yorkshire Police. The car did not stop at the scene. Mrs Khan, who has been living in the area for eight years, said the teenager used to work at Shansha Red Shop on Staniforth Road and serve her ice cream. "He was a good lad, reserved, not talkative but always gives good smiles," she said. "It's so sad. I couldn't sleep, especially knowing him, that upsets me really. "He was such a young boy." Darnall Labour councillor Mary Lea said: "I can speak for myself and my colleague, councillor Zahira Naz, and say we were shocked when we heard about this incident. "My first thoughts were of the family and the boy who lost his life and the tragedy of it all. "Our hearts go out to this young man's family at this time; and we can only imagine their grief and pain. We are thinking about them and they [are] in our prayers." "He was reportedly walking to a nearby shop to meet his father, with plans to eat together, when the tragic accident occurred.
