But the glamorous courtside energy was contrasted sharply with the tough reality Haliburton faced during the game. The Pacers guard was seen visibly struggling with what appeared to be an aggravated lower right leg injury, and of course, he had been battling throughout the series.
After logging just over 10 minutes in the first quarter, Haliburton made his way to the locker room. He re-emerged with his leg wrapped and returned to the court midway through the second quarter. Despite playing through pain, his performance took a hit. Speaking before Game 3, Haliburton had brushed off injury concerns, saying, "I'm fine. Really just a lower leg thing. I'll leave it at that. I don't think there's anything more to elaborate.
