During the phone call, Abbas wished Egypt and its people permanent security and stability, Presidency Spokesman Mohamed el Shennawy said. President Sisi expressed his appreciation to the Palestinian president for the thoughtful gesture, wishing the brotherly Palestinian people well-being and peace, overcoming the current difficult circumstances, and achieving their legitimate ambition to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. 'The two-state solution is not a slogan—it is the only viable path to ensure peace and unlock prosperity,' he said.
