Simone Inzaghi leaves Inter Milan days after Champions League final defeat
The 49-year-old has been heavily linked with the job of Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal.
Inter were chasing the treble as recently as late April only to be beaten by city rivals AC Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-finals before seeing Napoli claim the Serie A title by a single point.
The final indignity came last weekend when they were routed 5-0 by PSG in Munich, their second defeat in the European showpiece in three years.

It was decided that Inzaghi should depart during a meeting between the former Italy international and the club on Tuesday afternoon.
Inter president Giuseppe Marotta said: 'I would like to thank Simone Inzaghi for the work he has done, for the passion shown and also for the sincerity in today's discussion, which led to the common decision to part ways.
'Only when we have fought together to achieve success day by day can we have a frank dialogue like the one that happened today.'
Inzaghi won six trophies during his four seasons at San Siro, including the 2023-24 Serie A title.

He said: 'The time has come for me to say goodbye to this club after a four-year-long journey, throughout which I gave my all.
'Every day my first and last thought was always about Inter. It was then reciprocated with professionalism and passion by the players, leaders, and every single one of the club's employees.
'I would like to thank the shareholders for their unwavering support, as well as the president and his associates for their daily help and constant dialogue.
'On every difficult day, just like today, I think it's right to reiterate this sense of gratitude, even for the meeting that we had not long ago. We were sincere and together we decided to conclude this magnificent journey.'

Former Southampton boss Ivan Juric appointed Atalanta manager
Ivan Juric has been appointed as Atalanta's next first-team manager just a couple of months on from presiding over Southampton's relegation from the Premier League. The Croatian endured a dreadful tenure at St Mary's after taking the reins, four days before Christmas last year, winning just two of 16 matches and immediately resigning when their relegation was confirmed. Before that, Juric had an ill-fated two-month stint at Roma from September to November 2024 but he has now signed a deal until June 30, 2027, to replace Gian Piero Gasperini at the Gewiss Stadium. He has big shoes to fill in Bergamo as Gasperini guided Atalanta to a third-place finish in Serie A to secure a spot in next season's Champions League, while he won the Europa League with them in 2023-24. Juric – whose coaching CV includes three separate stints at Genoa in two-and-a-half years, followed by spells at Hellas Verona and Torino – will officially start his role from July 1. Guglielmo Vicario's fractured ankle in a 4-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium was quickly followed by serious setbacks for Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven and Tottenham lost eight of their 11 league fixtures in a jam-packed December and January. The Carabao Cup provided solace until a 4-0 loss at Liverpool in the last-four, which meant it was Europa League or bust for Postecoglou. A last-16 tie with AZ Alkmaar was navigated and, while Postecoglou aimed a cupped ear celebration at his own fans away to Chelsea in April, he managed to get a sinking ship back on track to knock out Eintracht Frankfurt before Bodo/Glimt were thrashed in the semi-finals after supporters' responded positively to the Australian's call-to-arms.
