Elon Musk accidentally doxxed himself while trying to prove he isn't a drug addict.
After a New York Times exposé about his drug use revealed that Musk has taken so much ketamine, it's given him bladder issues, the former chief of the cost-cutting Department of Government Efficiency posted a second drug test on X in the space of a week. The Times also reported Musk had taken ecstasy, magic mushrooms, and Adderall regularly.
On Tuesday, Musk posted the results of a urine test that showed he was drug-free, with no traces of 16 substances, including amphetamines, cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, or opioids. He followed up with a hair follicle test the following day—and goaded Times reporters to post the results of their own drug tests.
'The WSJ & New York Times fake 'journalists' lied through their teeth about me,' he wrote in the caption. 'Now let's see their drug test results. They will fail.'
But Musk inadvertently leaked the last four numbers of his Social Security number, putting the billionaire at risk of identity theft from hackers and scammers.

The Daily Beast has asked Musk for comment about the leak of his personal information.
The Times put out a statement following the publication of Musk's drug tests that said it stood by its reporting. 'Elon Musk is continuing to lash out because he doesn't like our reporting,' the outlet wrote. 'Nothing that he's said or presented since our article about his drug use during the presidential campaign was published contradicts what we uncovered.'
Musk is sensitive about his personal security. In March, he banned several journalists from Twitter for reporting on the itinerary of his private jet, claiming that users sharing the publicly available information were broadcasting 'basically assassination coordinates.' During his time in the White House, he surrounded himself with up to 20 bodyguards who were deputized as federal marshals, which allowed them to carry weapons on federal grounds.
As of Friday, Musk has not commented on the leak of his personal information or removed the post.
Musk shared the details of his drug tests after falling out with President Donald Trump following his departure from DOGE. At the height of their feud, Trump referred to Musk as a 'big-time addict' and said, 'He's got a problem. The poor guy's got a problem.'
The Wall Street Journal further reported in June 2023 and January 2024 that the billionaire regularly used party drugs like ketamine, LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms.
In a 2024 interview with former CNN host Don Lemon, Musk admitted that he took a 'small amount' of medically prescribed ketamine every two weeks for depression.
'If you've used too much ketamine, you can't really get work done, and I have a lot of work,' he said at the time.
Musk's drug tests were carried out at the Fastest Labs of South Austin in Texas, though without the involvement of a third party, it is impossible to determine their veracity.

Protesters gather after immigration raid targets car wash in L.A. County
Protesters gathered in southeast Los Angeles County Friday evening, facing off with masked men in fatigues after federal agents detained at least three people at a car wash in the city of Bell, according to witnesses, and visited another car wash in neighboring Maywood. The immigration action in Bell took place at Jack's Car Wash and Detailing, located in the 7000 block of Atlantic Avenue, just north of Florence Avenue. Security camera footage reviewed by The Times shows masked men wearing olive vests chasing a car wash employee, who was wearing a bright green uniform and cap. The video shows another employee — wearing a bright green cap, a white long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans — surrounded by the masked men, his hands restrained behind his back. The employee is tackled to the ground as customers and others gathered, with some taking out their phones to record videos. The man in the white-long sleeved shirt is a car wash worker who is a U.S. citizen, according to the employee's brother, Jesús Rafael Cervantes. He said his brother, who lives in Bell Gardens, wanted to defend a coworker— an action that, Cervantes said, prompted agents to detain his brother. "Just for defending someone, they came and knocked him down. As you can see in the videos, they came and knocked him down like that, just like that. And that's unfair, that they come and grab a person like that as if he were an animal or something," Cervantes told The Times. Protesters gathered to confront the agents in the area, which is about 6 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles. In one video shared with The Times, a protester sprays white paint on a silver SUV and a voice can be heard saying, "Get the ... out of here!" while others jeer. In a statement posted on social media, the agency said Border Patrol vehicles "were violently targeted during lawful operations" in Bell and neighboring Maywood. The Department of Homeland Security said one vehicle was rammed and had its tires slashed on Atlantic Boulevard. On Slauson Avenue, a civilian struck a federal vehicle, totaling it, according to the department. "The driver was arrested for suspicion of vehicular assault as a mob formed and slashed additional tires," the department said. The statement included photos showing silver vehicles with cracked or shattered windows. One silver SUV was shown with dented doors and scratched paint. "Federal law enforcement is facing an ever-escalating increase in assaults—but we will not be deterred," the department said. "If you assault a federal officer, you will be prosecuted." The statement did not indicate how many were detained on immigration-related matters. The protest in Bell, a city with a large Latino and Lebanese community, comes as the federal government continues its campaign in Los Angeles to find and capture undocumented immigrants. The actions have spurred backlash from local and state officials and have forced some residents into hiding. "We're not sure who these armed men are. They show up without uniforms. They show up completely masked. They refuse to give ID. They're driving regular cars with tinted windows and in some cases, out of state license plates. Who are these people?" Fernando Botello, 39, was driving back to Maywood after picking up his girlfriend's 14-year-old son when he got an alert on his citizen app that people suspected to be immigration agents were spotted in the area. The video shows the agent throwing an object toward a crowd of people, and a loud bang can be heard as he gets back in the vehicle. Botello said the object was a flash bang grenade, and was tossed at people who were taking video. "They knew what they wanted to do," he said. As he recounted the situation, Botello paused, trying to hold back tears. "I was upset because the people were exercising their right. They weren't hitting the officers' vehicles, they weren't in the middle of the street," he said. "You're punishing people for standing up for their neighbors and yourself." "It feels surreal. As Musk's 'robotaxi' rollout approaches, Democratic lawmakers in Texas try to throw up a roadblock
NEW YORK -- A group of Democratic lawmakers in Texas is asking Elon Musk to delay the planned rollout of driverless 'robotaxis' in the state this weekend to assure that the vehicles are safe. In a letter, seven state legislators asked Tesla to wait until September when a new law takes effect that will require several checks before autonomous vehicles can be deployed without a human in the driver's seat. Tesla is slated to begin testing a dozen of what it calls robotaxis for paying customers on Sunday in a limited area of Austin, Texas. 'We are formally requesting that Tesla delay autonomous robotaxi operations until the new law takes effect on September 1, 2025,' the letter from Wednesday, June 18, reads. 'We believe this is in the best interest of both public safety and building public trust in Tesla's operations.' It's not clear if the letter will have much impact. Republicans have been a dominant majority in the Texas Legislature for more than 20 years. State lawmakers and Republican Gov. Greg Abbott have generally embraced Musk and the jobs and investment he has brought to Texas, from his SpaceX rocket program on the coast, to his Tesla factory in Austin. The company, which is headquartered in Austin, did not responded immediately to a request for comment from The Associated Press. The law will require companies to secure approval from the state motor vehicles department to operate autonomous cars with passengers. That approval, in turn, would depend on sufficient proof that the cars won't pose a high risk to others if the self-driving system breaks down, among other reassurances. Companies would also have to file detailed plans for how first responders should handle the cars if there is a problem, such as an accident. The letter asked Tesla to assure the legislators it has met all the requirements of the law even if it decides to go ahead with the test run this weekend. The letter was earlier reported by Reuters. Musk has made the robotaxi program a priority at Tesla and a failure would likely be highly damaging to the company's stock, which has already tumbled 20% this year. Musk's political views and his affiliation with the Trump administration have drastically reduced sales of Tesla, particularly in Europe, where Musk's endorsement of Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany party in February's election drew broad condemnation. Tesla shares bottomed out in March and have rebounded somewhat in recent months. Much of the rise reflects optimism that robotaxis will not only be deployed without a hitch, but that the service will quickly expand to other cities and eventually dominate the self-driving cab business. Rival Waymo is already picking up passengers in Austin and several other cities, and recently boasted of surpassing 10 million paid rides. In afternoon trading Friday, Tesla shares were largely unchanged at $320.
