Jordan condemns Israel's approval of 22 new settlements in West Bank
Ammon News - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned in the strongest terms the decision of Israel to approve the construction of 22 new settlements there, saying that this is a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and a clear violation of the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent, sovereign state on the June 4, 1967 lines, with occupied Jerusalem as its capital.
Ambassador Sufyan Qudah, the ministry's official spokesperson, affirmed the Kingdom's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of this decision, which violates UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334, which condemns all Israeli measures aimed at changing the demographic composition, character, and status of the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, including occupied Jerusalem.
All Israeli measures and decisions in the West Bank are illegal and illegitimate, Qudah pointed out, stressing that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territory.

The Al Baraka Forum for Islamic Economy is an independent, non-profit intellectual platform. Its first seminar was held in Madinah in 1981.
