How to watch Clemson vs Virginia Tech today: Time, TV channel for Tigers' Senior Day Clemson is searching for its eighth straight win and, just maybe, an ACC title.
It's Senior Day at Littlejohn Coliseum, and the Clemson Tigers hope to close out the final game of the 2024-25 regular season in style when they face Virginia Tech.
Clemson (25-5 overall, 17-2 ACC), ranked No. 11 in this week's Top 25 polls, has had a historic season. Their 17 ACC wins are a school record, as are their eight consecutive conference road victories.
The Tigers held off a second-half rally at Boston College on Wednesday for their second straight win, 78-69 over the Eagles. Jaeden Zackery tied a season-high with 21 points in his return to Chestnut Hill after transferring to Clemson last offseason. Chase Hunter added 18 points and Viktor Lakhin finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double.
Hunter and senior forward Ian Schieffelin will draw the loudest applause from the Tiger faithful ahead of today's tipoff. After returning for his sixth season of eligibility last summer, Hunter leads Clemson in scoring with 16.4 points per game. Schieffelin is second with 13.1 points per game and leads the team in rebounds with 9.5 a night.
Clemson is seeking its 14th win in 15 games and is looking to end the regular season with an eight-game winning streak ahead of next week's ACC Tournament in Charlotte. The Tigers have already clinched a double-bye in the conference tournament and are assured no worse of a No. 3 seed. They have a remote chance of winning the ACC regular-season title entering the day, but they'll need some help in the form of a Louisville loss to Stanford and a Duke loss at North Carolina.
The Tigers are ranked No. 22 in the NET rankings, No. 19 in the KenPom ratings, and are tied with the Kentucky Wildcats for No. 14 in ESPN's College Basketball Power Index.
Virginia Tech (13-17, 8-11) is coming off a 91-59 home loss to North Carolina on Tuesday. Tobi Lawal leads the Hokies in scoring at 12.5 points per game. He had 14 in the first meeting between the two teams this season on Jan. 25 in Blacksburg, a 72-57 Clemson victory at Cassell Coliseum.
Today's game marks the 45th all-time meeting between Clemson and Virginia Tech on the hardwood. The Hokies the series, 24-20. Clemson has won three of the past four meetings, including a 51-50 victory the last time the Tigers and Virginia Tech met at Littlejohn Coliseum (Jan. 21, 2023).

Clemson is one of the biggest college football hype trains rolling into 2025, expert says

Clemson is one of the biggest college football hype trains rolling into 2025, expert says The Clemson Tigers understandably have a lot of hype heading into the 2025 college football season. After the year quarterback Cade Klubnik had in 2024 (3,639 passing yards, 36 TDs), and a host of other talent returning on both sides of the ball in defensive linemen T.J. Parker and Peter Woods and receivers Antonio Williams, Bryant Wesco and TJ Moore, Clemson is as high as No. 2 in various post-spring top 25 rankings (USA TODAY Sports, ESPN). With 83 days remaining until the Tigers open the season against LSU at Memorial Stadium on Aug. 30, CBS Sports has Clemson on its list of the 12 biggest "hype trains" with the most offseason buzz rolling into 2025. Analyst Carter Bahns said of the Tigers: "Dabo Swinney is nearly seven years removed from his second national championship, but after a long stretch that saw his Clemson program slip from its pedestal, he has a behemoth of a 2025 roster that could get back to the mountaintop. Cade Klubnik might be college football's top quarterback after he improved throughout last season, and his stacked receiving corps will only help him reach the next level as a Heisman contender. Expected improvements on defense with Tom Allen taking over the unit will make the Tigers as well-rounded as anyone." Swinney brought in Allen to run the defense after heading up a Penn State unit that went 11-1 in the regular season and reached the semifinal round of the College Football Playoff in 2024. Allen will be tasked to improve a Clemson defense that, under Wes Goodwin, gave up an average of 374 yards per game (69th nationally). The Tigers went 10-4 last year and defeated SMU, 34-31, in a thrilling ACC Championship Game on a walk-off 56-yard Nolan Hauser field goal as time expired. They made the College Football Playoff for the first time in four years and were ranked No. 11 in the final US LBM Coaches Poll. Clemson's season opener against LSU will be in prime time at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on ABC. Highly Touted Star Quarterback Sends Strong Two-Word Message on Georgia

Highly Touted Star Quarterback Sends Strong Two-Word Message on Georgia originally appeared on Athlon Sports. One quarterback prospect kept it short and sweet when talking about his recent visit to the Georgia Bulldogs along with two other schools. Advertisement "Great trip," high school signal-caller Peter Bourque told On3's Steve Wiltong. A four-star quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class, Bourque also visited the Clemson Tigers and LSU Tigers on the recent "great" recruiting trip. There doesn't appear to be an early leader for Bourque. Wiltfong reported all three programs "impressed" the quarterback. Bourque is the 10th-ranked quarterback and No. 1 Massachusetts prospect in the 2027 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. The quarterback is also a top 100 prospect, sitting at No. 90 on the composite list. Advertisement "Obviously a top program and I really liked working with Coach Streeter and Coach Bobo," said the quarterback. 'History. Tradition. Winning. They are the biggest game on everyone's schedule.' The Bulldogs received a commitment from Jared Curtis in the 2026 recruiting class. Curtis is the top-ranked quarterback in his class based on the 247 Sports composite rankings. Georgia hasn't received a quarterback commitment in 2027 although it's obviously still early. To land Bourque, the Bulldogs will have plenty of competition. The signal-caller told Wiltfong that he will visit the Michigan Wolverines, Penn State Nittany Lions, Alabama Crimson Tigers and Oregon Ducks next. Advertisement Bourque, though, has yet to nail down his exact visiting schedule. The only commitment Georgia has received for 2027 is from three-star wide receiver Gavin Honore. Clemson baseball lands promising transfer from SEC program

Clemson baseball lands promising transfer from SEC program For the second time this week, the Clemson Tigers have added a player from an SEC baseball roster via the transfer portal. Infielder Bryce Clavon, who transfers after one season with the Georgia Bulldogs, announced his commitment to Clemson in a post to social media Saturday. Clavon was a freshman for coach Wes Johnson's team in 2025, appearing in 27 games and making one start. He joins former Alabama Crimson Tide pitcher Ariston Veasey as SEC players to transfer to Clemson this week. A right-handed hitter who's listed as 6-feet, 187 pounds, Clavon committed to Georgia after graduating from Kell High School in Stockbridge (Ga.). Perfect Game ranked him the No. 4 overall shortstop in the nation coming out of high school. Clavon was 5-for-15 with a home run, a double and a triple last season. He was also 2-of-2 on stolen base attempts. Clavon played behind starting shortstop Kolby Branch and did not appear in the game when Clemson and Georgia met as top five opponents on April 22 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, a 3-0 Tigers shutout victory. Clavon is the Tigers' second commitment in the transfer portal Saturday. Earlier in the day, shortstop Tyler Lichtenberger committed to Clemson from Appalachian State. Lichtenberger was the Sun Belt conference Freshman of the Year in 2025, batting .341 with 13 doubles, three home runs and 44 RBIs. Clemson has added four players via the transfer portal since their season-ending loss to Kentucky in the Clemson Regional last Sunday. In addition to Clavon, Lichtenberger and Veasey, the Tigers also added right-hander Hayden Simmerson from Division II Catawba College in North Carolina.
