Actor
Akash Makhija
, who is best known for featuring in TV shows like
Sargam Ki Sadhe Satii
,
Har Mard Ka Dard
, talks about making a shift from small screen (Television) to digital platform (OTT) and
bollywood movies
.
He said, "I guess I never had a problem with TV since both the shows I did were sitcoms — Har Mard Ka Dard (2017) and Sargam Ki Sade Satti (2022).
Comedy has always been my forte, and I loved it.
But then OTT kind of gave me a new world to explore as an actor. Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi gave me hope and the courage to dream bigger as an artist. I got nominated for an award that year, and after that, I kept getting work in OTT and films."
He continued to express gratitude towards his experience of being part of
Television Industry
in the past. He continued, "I'm not against TV — I learned a lot from it and also earned good money — but as an artist, I feel I belong in OTT and films.
It's much more raw and gives you an identity that resonates across the world.'
The actor will next be seen in upcoming series
Gram Chikitsalay
, which also stars Amol Parashar, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Garima Vikrant Singh, Vinay Pathak, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor in the lead roles.
He added, "I'm quite excited about my upcoming series, Gram Chikitsalay that is touted to be a delightful blend of humor and emotions. The story follows the journey of a doctor from the city as he adjusts to life at a small-town public health center. The series serves up a witty cocktail of playful journey of self-discovery, unexpected friendships, and the awkward hilarity that comes with figuring out how to fit into a place that plays by its own rules.
I can't reveal about my role, but its very much promising."
Akash has featured in Bollywood films like Half Girlfriend, Bhool Chuk Maaf, Nakhrewaalii.

They made their first public appearance together two weeks ago at the screening of Amol's web series 'Gram Chikitsalay'. Now, the rumoured lovebirds were once again spotted together as they arrived for the special screening of Abhishek Banerjee starrer 'Stolen' on Saturday. They happily posed together for the paparazzi, and their joint appearance has further added fuel to their dating rumours. A special screening of 'Stolen' was held in Mumbai on Saturday, and several celebrities were spotted arriving for the premiere. Videos circulating on social media show Konkona Sensharma initially posing solo, before Amol Parashar joins her at the paparazzi's request for a picture together. The 'Metro…In Dino' actress looked absolutely stunning in an all-black outfit. She paired a black t-shirt with a matching full-length skirt, and black shoes. Meanwhile, Amol was seen in a blue shirt paired with a black jacket and matching pants. Check out the video below! Meanwhile, the screening of Stolen was also attended by various other Bollywood celebrities including Rajkummar Rao, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu, Farhan Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Vijay Varma and many others. About Stolen Stolen, helmed by debutant director Karan Tejpal, is a gritty and thought-provoking drama that delves deep into the emotional and psychological aftermath of a chilling crime. The film will be released in India on June 4 on Amazon Prime Video. Backed by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Nikkhil Advani and Kiran Rao, the film features Abhishek Banerjee alongside Shubham, Mia Maelzer, Harish Khanna and Sahidur Rahaman in prominent roles. Konkona Sensharma, Amol Parashar's Dating Rumours Last year, Ranveer Shorey's comment on a social media post sparked speculation about the relationship status of his ex-wife, Konkona Sen Sharma. A parody account on X shared that Konkona Sen Sharma took the best decision to leave Ranvir Shorey and date Amol Parashar. Replying to this, Ranvir wrote, 'I agree." Konkona and Amol have worked together in the 2020 film Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. Amol had dropped hints about being involved in a committed relationship during an interview to The Times of India last year. However, he did not name his romantic partner. Asked about what was stopping him from revealing his relationship before the world, Amol had asserted that there was 'no good reason to put it out there". He had further said that actual relationships feel extra 'pure" when kept a secret from the world. Without taking Konkona's name, he said, 'We are not hiding from people. We go to parties, and people know. But to put something out in the media hasn't felt necessary. It's not like we need it." Konkona was earlier married to actor Ranvir Shorey. They lived separately for nearly five years before their divorce got finalised in 2020. First Published:
