This Safe 16 Mph Electric Scooter Is 40% Off, As Amazon Clears Stock With No Markup
This electric scooter costs two to three times less than its competitors.
Summer is just around the corner, now is the perfect time to spend money on a fun, and eco-friendly means of getting around town. Amazon's current sale of the Volpam electric scooter at an all-time low price of $179 makes the chance to try out a safe scooter. Despite its good safety ratings and strong customer reviews, Amazon is clearing out its stock at this record low price, a discount we've only seen once before (back in April). Otherwise, this scooter has consistently sold for $289.

Folds Into One Second
The Volpam scooter stands out for its balance of performance, portability, and safety, all at a budget-friendly price. It features a 350W powerful motor which achieves a maximum speed of 16 mph, which is way enough for commuting within the city or beach cruises. It's high-torque, low-power motor ensures that you have the speed and efficiency without using up the battery prematurely.
This scooter offers a good battery which provides up to 12 miles of range on a single charge which is perfect for daily commutes, short runs or weekend trips. It charges quickly and easily and it needs only 4-5 hours to completely recharge. There's a built-in cruise control feature which allows a hands-free ride where you can maintain a steady speed on longer distances without constant throttle tweaking.
You will also love how portable it is: with its quick fold system, the scooter folds into one second and can be stashed in your trunk or dragged aboard the bus. At close to 30 lbs, it's light enough to carry anywhere, to the office, the park, or to a buddy's house. The 8.5-inch solid tires are self-maintaining and durable enough for typical city roads so you don't have to go through the bother and cost of repeatedly repairing tires.
Safety hasn't been overlooked either, and this is why it is so popular: The scooter features a dual braking system-EABS electronic braking and a rear drum brake-providing reliable stopping power even in sudden situations. Bright LED lights and a clear display ensure you're visible at night and always aware of your speed, battery level, and other key stats.
The majority of the comparable-spec rivals are much more expensive, and this model's balance of speed, range, and build quality is hard to surpass at this price. With Amazon having a clearance sale, this could be your last chance to get a well-rated, secure electric scooter at such a discount price.

Amazon Layoffs Impact Books Division: Goodreads, Kindle
Tech job cuts have impacted over 62,000 workers so far this year, according to tracker Now Amazon is laying off workers in its books business, per a leaked internal email obtained by Business Insider earlier this week. "Today, we are taking the very difficult step of eliminating some roles on your team," a senior Amazon manager stated in the email. "Unfortunately, your role has been eliminated." The email informed impacted employees that they would receive full pay and benefits for the next 60 days, or 90 days for employees who reside in New York or New Jersey, plus additional severance. Related: Amazon CEO Andy Jassy Says the 'Way to Get Ahead' at Amazon Isn't By Overseeing a 'Giant Team and Fiefdom' The cuts, which Reuters reported affected fewer than 100 employees, were intended to improve efficiency. The reductions affected employees working on Amazon's Goodreads review site as well as its Kindle division. Amazon acquired Goodreads in 2013 for $150 million. "As part of our ongoing work to make our teams and programs operate more efficiently, and to better align with our business roadmap, we've made the difficult decision to eliminate a small number of roles within the Books organization," an Amazon spokesperson stated, per Reuters. began as an online bookstore in the early 1990s when the company sold its first book online: Douglas Hofstadter's Fluid Concepts and Creative Analogies: Computer Models of the Fundamental Mechanisms of Thought. Within its first month of launch, Amazon had sold books to customers in all U.S. states and 45 countries. In the first 10 months of 2022, Amazon sold $16.9 billion worth of books globally. Related: 'Difficult Decision': Amazon Announces a New Round of Layoffs. Here Are the Roles Affected. Now, Amazon generates about $28 billion annually from global book sales and offers more than 20 million titles in the U.S. alone. Amazon controls half or more of the U.S. market for print book sales and at least 75% of ebook sales. Amazon has let go of roughly 27,000 employees since the beginning of 2022 to cut costs. The company announced last month that it would cut 100 jobs in its devices and services department, which includes Ring doorbells and the Alexa voice assistant. In January, the retail giant made dozens of job cuts in its communications and sustainability departments.

This compact Nespresso is my secret to great coffee in a small kitchen — and it's 23% off
As a lifelong coffee lover, there are few things I appreciate more than the perfect cup of coffee or shot of espresso. But I know better than anyone that at-home barista dreams and city living aren't exactly compatible, as my lack of kitchen space has forced me to suffer with some less-than-ideal coffee makers over the years. Thankfully, a family member put me out of my misery and gifted me the Nespresso Vertuo Pop+, which makes all of the café-quality coffee and espresso drinks I love without monopolizing my precious counter space. If you, too, are on the hunt for a cute and compact brewing setup, you can get the machine 23% off now on Amazon. Follow our WhatsApp channel for more deals and buying guides The Pop+ machine, which our kitchen editors found to be the Nespresso machine with the best value in our best Nespresso machine guide, brews five sizes of Nespresso pods, from single espresso shots to 12-ounce cups of coffee. With the help of Nespresso's Aeroccino3 Milk Frother, I've used the machine to make both hot and iced specialty drinks like cappuccinos, americanos, and lattes that I would normally be willing to pay for in a coffee shop. With only a 30-second preheat time, getting the perfect brew has never been easier. Despite being Nespresso's smallest machine, the Pop+ has plenty of fun and convenient features. I love that it can be paired with the Nespresso app to give me recipe ideas and remind me when to descale the machine. The height of the cup stand can be adjusted, which helps minimize splatters while I'm brewing into a smaller cup. The machine also has a convenient compartment that collects used pods as you go, so you can recycle a bunch at once. Plus, it's super cute and comes in eight fun colors, so you can match it to your kitchen. Amazon I've used lots of single-serve, drip, percolator, and French press machines in the past, and the Nespresso consistently makes the best coffee, is the most versatile, and is the easiest to use. I'd recommend it to any coffee lover, regardless of how tight your space is. With hundreds of five-star ratings on Amazon, it seems I'm not alone in this opinion. "I thought my pour-over coffee was fast in the morning, but the Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ (with the accompanying milk frother) has changed my morning routine. It's a pleasure to get up and make my morning latte," said one reviewer. "Delicious coffee and I found myself not needing to add sweetener with the addition of the frothed milk. Very happy with my purchase." Unlike other machines that can be an eyesore, shoppers love having this one on their counter. "We are moving soon, and I have themed my entire kitchen around this machine because I love the color," said another reviewer who purchased the machine in mint. It's super sturdy, makes my coffee super fast, and is adorable." With the current discount on Amazon, certain colors of the Nespresso Vertuo Pop+ are just $100. Add it to your cart now while the deal lasts. More trending kitchen deals on Amazon Still shopping? Check out more kitchen deals on Amazon.
