A couple celebrating a peaceful, child-free morning was met with an interruption too hilarious not to share.
A TikTok video posted by a creator named Madison has hilariously shown that a "child-free" morning doesn't necessarily equate to a quiet morning, especially when feline companions are involved. Madison, 26, spoke to Newsweek about the viral video of her cat obsessively pawing at a paper bag while the couple were enjoying their breakfast, which reached over two million likes.
"Enjoying our quiet, childfree morning," she wrote in the caption before panning the camera to reveal the source of an unexpected disruption: her cat's relentless—and loud—pawing.

"What inspired me to record was her going at the bag for a while," Madison told Newsweek. And the cat in the video isn't alone in her job of annoying her parents—the couple has other Bengal cats, too.
"They most definitely do this stuff on a regular occurrence," she said. "They are Bengals and are very curious by nature and get into all sorts of stuff. We even have to child lock some cabinets for safety."
While the couple was celebrating their child-free state in the video, Madison said it's not a concrete decision just yet.
"We are still discussing as a couple," she said. "There are many downsides to having a 'regular' child."
What Did the Comments Say?
The reactions to the video have largely centered around shared experiences with quirky cat behavior, and Madison is resolute that her cat's idiosyncrasies are just symbols of their personalities.
"The responses most have been folks relating to the cats and this sort of cat behavior," she said. "I have gotten the occasional person saying that they are not 'enriched,' however, I disagree—they have a lot of playtime with us, dad works from home, and they even have a cat wheel. We love these guys."
The comments section of the TikTok video itself was filled with users comparing cat antics to the joys—and chaos—of having children.
"I gotta hand it to my daughter, in her six months of life, she has never fully sprinted down the hallway and slammed her body against my bedroom door at 2:00 AM," one user quipped.
"I have both children and a cat," another chimed in. "I can reason with the children."
Users seemed to conclude that the desire for a peaceful morning, often associated with being child-free, was dramatically juxtaposed with the reality of pet ownership.
"'I'm so glad I don't have a baby right now,' I say, as my cat screams for me to wake up at 5:30 AM to feed him,'" one commenter shared.
While a home might be human-child-free, it's rarely noise-free when cats are in charge.

Peyton Manning Doesn't Hold Back About Bengals QB Joe Burrow

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals are looking to get back into contention in the AFC during the upcoming 2025 NFL season. Following a rough all-around 2024 campaign that saw the Bengals finish with a 9-8 record and miss the playoffs, Burrow and company want to win. They have a solid roster and were able to make two key moves by extending both Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. There are still questions about 2024 NFL sack leader Trey Hendrickson's future. That situation will need to get figured out and Cincinnati will need him on the field to live up to its full potential. After that, the Bengals should have a playoff caliber team. He also picked up 201 yards and two more scores on the ground. Peyton Manning took some time to speak out about Burrow recently. He did not hold back his high opinion of the Cincinnati quarterback. "He's an incredible quarterback. He's just fun to watch play. He's exciting when the ball is in his hands," Manning said. "The game is never over. He's calm, he's collected, he doesn't sweat. Out there on the field, off the field ... he's very authentic." Burrow's personal success has been impressive, but he wants a Super Bowl. Manning also talked about that goal and revealed that he expects the 28-year-old quarterback to win a Super Bowl. "There are expectations that come with it, but Joe is well aware of those, and he can carry that burden and wants those expectations on his shoulders," he said. "And I know he fully expects, as I do as well, to bring a championship here to Cincinnati." He is more than capable of powering the Bengals back to Super Bowl contention Entering the 2025 season, it will be interesting to see if he is able to get the job done. It will start with Cincinnati being a playoff team and with Burrow under center there is no reason the team should fall short of that goal. Manning is expecting big things from Burrow and it will be interesting to see if he delivers this year. For more Cincinnati Bengals and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports.
