Brit influencer and husband feared dead in Air India plane crash hours after final post
Wellness guru Jamie Meek and husband Fiongal Greenlaw posted a video from Ahmedabad airport just moments before boarding the ill-fated plane.
A British influencer and his husband are among those feared dead after an Air India plane heading to London Gatwick smashed into a college with hundreds on board.
Just moments before boarding the ill-fated plane, wellness guru Jamie Meek and husband Fiongal Greenlaw posted a video from Ahmedabad airport. As reported by the Mirror, Meek, 45, and Greenlaw, 39, co-founded the Wellness Foundry, a company promoting holistic living.
The couple, who are based in London, had been on a holiday in India and had previously made appearances on ITV's This Morning to showcase their wellness brand. The final video shared from the airport showed the couple in vibrant floral shirts, smiling and relaxed as they prepared to fly home.
In the clip, Fiongal says, 'We are at the airport just boarding. Goodbye India. Ten-hour flight back to England. What was your biggest takeaway Jamie?' to which Jamie replies, 'I don't know,' prompting laughter from Fiongal who responds 'thanks for your contribution.'
Fiongal then jokingly says his takeaway was 'don't lose your patience with your partner,' to which Jamie replied 'you snapped at me at the airport for having chai.'
Fiongal, who is surrounded by fellow travellers, ends the clip by saying he's returning to the UK 'happily, happily calm.'
Earlier videos captured highlights of their time in Ahmedabad, including scenes from a luxury hotel following a long car journey. Fiongal can be seen in one clip stretched out on a large bed, showcasing a swing in their room, calling the space 'beautiful' and adding he is 'feeling very, very happy.'
The couple are believed to have spent two weeks in India, documenting their travels through numerous social media updates. Their shared content included moments such as getting henna tattoos, shopping for textiles, and navigating bustling streets in a tuk-tuk.
Fiongal posted a message just one day before the crash marking the end of their trip: 'So, it's our last night in India and we've had a magical experience. Some mind-blowing things have happened. We are going to put all this together and create a vlog. It's my first ever vlog about the whole trip and we want to share it.'
Of the 242 people onboard Air India Flight 171, at least 204 bodies have been recovered from the crash site near Ahmedabad Airport, a local police chief said. Part of the jet fell on top of the dining area of B.J. Medical College, killing at least five medical students and injuring almost 50. Miracolously, British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, 40, who was onboard the flight says he survived the deadly crash.
Tata Sons, which owns Air India, will offer around £86,000 to the families of each person who died in the Ahmedabad plane crash, the company said.

Capital's Summertime Ball 2025 at Wembley Stadium: timings, tickets and everything you need to know
Capital first broadcast on the British airwaves in 1973, and for years it was just that: a radio station. However, since 2008, when it hosted the very first Capital Jingle Bell Ball, things have changed. These days, Capital hosts a summertime and Christmas ball every year. The events are generally held at Wembley Stadium or the O2 arena, and are basically a one-day-long festival contained within a stadium. Now we're within days of the 2025 summer instalment. There are some huge names on the line-up, with Benson Boone, Mariah Carey, Tate McRae, and Will Smith headlining the Summertime Ball this Sunday (June 15), so it's looking like it'll be a pretty great day. Here's everything you need to know about Capital's Summertime Ball 2025. When and where is Capital's Summertime Ball? The one-day event is at Wembley Stadium and will take place on Sunday, June 15. Doors will open at 1.30pm. What is the full Capital Summertime Ball lineup and what are the set times? The show will begin at 3.30pm, and there is only one stage, so you don't need to factor in running-across-a-field-time in between acts. The full set-times have not yet been released by Capital, but last year headliners Sabrina Carpenter and RAYE started their performances at 7.50pm and 8.15pm respectively, so it's likely that this is the sort of time you can expect for Mariah Carey, Benson Boone, and Will Smith. Capital will release set times on their website on the morning of the event. We do have the full lineup, though. Here's everyone you can catch at the ball on Sunday. Mariah Carey Benson Boone KSI Lola Young Busted vs McFly Zara Larsson Dasha Reneé Rapp Jessie J Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff Tate McRae Myles Smith JADE James Hype Remember Monday Rita Ora Are there any tickets left for Capital's Summertime Ball? Unfortunately, no, there are no tickets left. Due to the limited capacity, and amount of artists, this is a show that tends to sell out pretty quickly. Capital does give away tickets every so often on the radio, but they don't advertise when this will happen so you just need to keep your ears open. How can I watch Capital's Summertime Ball from home? If you weren't lucky enough to grab or win tickets, you can watch or listen to the show from home. Capital will be broadcasting it live through their Global Player app, their YouTube channel, and, of course, from Capital FM. If you miss it on the day, you can catch up from Sunday June 22 on ITV and STV from 5.30pm. What time does Capital's Summertime Ball start and finish? The venue doors open at 1.30pm, with the first act scheduled to take to the stage at around 3.30pm. As we said, there are no set times yet, but it has been confirmed that the concert will end at 9.30pm. What's the weather looking like? By Sunday, the 'moderate thunderstorm warning' hovering over London will have passed, luckily for all you ball-goers. The weather will likely be quite grey with spurts of rain here and there, so wear waterproof clothing and bring a jacket for the walk home. As always, check the forecasts as close to the event as possible for the most accurate predictions.

The plane was heading to London Gatwick when it crashed just moments after take-off. One of Flight AI171's two "black boxes" has reportedly been recovered - which should provide crucial evidence on the fateful minutes between the plane leaving the airport terminal to it's impact. The black box will provide technical information on details like time, speed, altitude and heading. And the cockpit voice recorder may also offer vital clues such as any conversation between the two pilots, any engine noises or bangs, stall warnings or sounds of other equipment. The crash killed at least 265 people - including those on board and locals on the ground. As crash investigators begin to pour over that data, The Sun looks at six main theories as potential causes for India's worst ever aviation disaster.
