Etihad Player of the Month: February nominees revealed
Erling Haaland, Abdukodir Khusanov and Josko Gvardiol are all up for the Etihad Player of the Month award for February.
The polls are now open, so who will you choose as your winner?
Phil Foden took the honours last month, beating Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne.
And one of that trio is up again as we look at the three contenders for February...
Four games, four goals and one assist for our prolific No.9, Erling Haaland will be looking to go one better than his second-place poll finish in January.
Haaland started February with a fine headed goal in our heavy loss to Arsenal, before being rested for the FA Cup tie with Leyton Orient.
He was back for the Champions League play-off clash with Real Madrid, scoring twice in a 3-2 loss at the Etihad.
Erling led the team out for the first time a few days later, and was superb in the 4-0 win over Newcastle, assisting James McAtee's late goal.
He jarred his knee in that game and missed our next two matches against Real Madrid and Liverpool, but was back for the midweek 1-0 win over Spurs, bagging the only goal of the game in another masterful display at leading the line.

Have Manchester City unearthed another gem of a defender?
His first full month in sky blue suggests our Uzbek youngster is going to be something of a cult hero for City fans - but can he cap off a fantastic February by winning this poll?
After an understandably nervy start on his debut against Chelsea, the 20-year-old hasn't looked back with a series of composed and committed displays.
His second appearance for the Blues saw him glance home Rico Lewis' shot against Leyton Orient to level the scores at Brisbane Road.
And his next appearance was against Newcastle United where he was outstanding, keeping in-form Alexander Isak and the dangerous Anthony Gordon quiet throughout as City thrashed the Magpies 4-0 at the Etihad.
With a mixture of intelligent defending, speed and determination, Khusanov announced his arrival as a star of the future in style.
The youngster was then played at right-back away to Real Madrid and was up against Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe and though the Blues lost 3-1, Khusanov defended stoically in difficult conditions.
And his baptism of fire didn't end there!
Next, he was up against Mo Salah in the 2-0 loss to Liverpool, but gave an impressive display and looked confident and composed throughout.
Khusanov ended February with a stellar display in the 1-0 win away to Spurs and will have a legion of new admirers behind him in his first Etihad Player of the Month poll.
Josko Gvardiol continued his impressive start to 2025 throughout February.
Our talented Croatian defender was involved in a couple of clean sheets in our Premier League wins over Newcastle and Spurs and was a constant threat going forward.
Gvardiol set up Haaland's first goal against Real Madrid at the Etihad and provided several big chances for his team-mates during another productive month.
Will Josko get your vote?
The polls - now open - close at 18:00 (UK) on Thursday 6 February.

Real Madrid Will Pull Off This Genius Free Transfer
Real Madrid is set to pull off what could prove to be a genius free transfer according to Mundo ... More Deportivo, which cited anonymous sources. Real Madrid is set to pull off what could prove to be a genius free transfer according to Mundo Deportivo, which cited anonymous sources. President Florentino Perez has acted swiftly following a trophyless season in terms of major silverware, as bitter rival FC Barcelona swept a domestic treble in Spain. His first port of call was replacing head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who now oversees the Brazil national team, and replacing him with one of the game's most hyped young managers in Xabi Alonso. On the weekend that the 2024/2025 La Liga campaign drew to a close, Madrid then announced that it had activated Spain international Dean Huijsen's £50 million release clause at Bournemouth. This was Madrid's first piece of business in the transfer market, which was quickly followed by paying €10 million to get Trent Alexander-Arnold out of an expiring Liverpool contract earlier than June 30 so that he can play the World Club Cup in the United States. The newly-reimagined FIFA tournament with huge prize money on offer is one that Argentine wonderkid Franco Mastantuono is expected to play for his boyhood club River Plate. After the competition, however, he should then cross the Atlantic and complete his transfer to Real Madrid after Los Blancos came out of nowhere and renewed interest in the whiz kid at a time when Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City appeared to be the frontrunners for his capture. To cap off a week where a delegation travelled Madrid looks set to pay the youngster's $51.5 million (€45 million) release clause after reaching an agreement with both the player and his current employer. Aged just 17, Mastantuono is a punt for the future alongside Endrick and Arda Guler. But Perez isn't done there in playing the long game, and while those mentioned three transfers around $170 million ($€147 million to be exact in euros), Perez is looking even further into the future and could have pulled off a major coup. This is because according to Mundo Deportivo, Ajax's Abdellah Ouazane will join Real Madrid's Castilla reserve team in July. Aged 16, he will do so at zero cost because the prodigy of Moroccan descent did not agree fresh terms with the Dutch club in what could prove to be another transfer market masterstroke.

Real Madrid interest grows but Arsenal expect contract agreement
Arsenal Confident of New Lewis-Skelly Deal Despite Real Madrid Interest Rising star earns attention There are few greater compliments in football than being tracked by Real Madrid. For Myles Lewis-Skelly, that interest comes at the end of a breakout campaign which has firmly placed him among Arsenal's most promising young talents. Advertisement The 18-year-old made 39 appearances in all competitions for Mikel Arteta's side in 2024-25, having not featured at all for the senior team the season before. His progress has been rapid, not just in minutes and matches, but in stature. A senior England debut, a goal against Albania, and now headlines linking him to Madrid. Photo IMAGO Contract concern grows Arsenal are confident Lewis-Skelly will commit to a new long-term deal, yet there is some urgency. His current contract expires in 2026, and the parallels to Bukayo Saka's previous situation are all too familiar. Financial expert Stefan Borson, speaking to Football Insider, said, 'He will obviously stay at Arsenal… We know there's no way Arsenal are going to let him leave.' Advertisement That optimism is well-placed but does not mask the reality. Lewis-Skelly's emergence has occurred in an era where top clubs like Real Madrid are increasingly adept at exploiting contractual uncertainty. Having signed Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool this summer, Madrid's interest in Lewis-Skelly feels credible rather than speculative. Internal confidence and external noise Borson is convinced this will follow the path Arsenal have already navigated with Saka. 'Every year that he was running to the end of his contract, there were these sorts of noises,' he said. 'He will sign a new contract.' Photo IMAGO It is a test of Arsenal's planning as much as Lewis-Skelly's ambition. The club cannot afford to delay when the vultures of Europe are circling. This is no longer a teenager with potential, but a first-team regular playing international football. Our View – EPL Index Analysis For Arsenal supporters, this is precisely the kind of situation that once sparked anxiety. But this is no longer the Arsenal of uncertainty. This is a club that knows how to keep its crown jewels. Advertisement Myles Lewis-Skelly has been a revelation. Calm in possession, aggressive in his pressing, and intelligent beyond his years, he has slotted seamlessly into Arteta's high-demand system. That he has already made such an impact in his debut season shows both his character and quality. The links to Real Madrid are almost flattering at this stage. Of course they want him. That is what happens when you nurture excellence. But Arsenal fans should trust the process. The club have managed these renewals brilliantly in recent seasons, and there's no suggestion that will change now. Saka stayed. Martinelli stayed. Saliba stayed. Lewis-Skelly will, in all likelihood, stay too. Not just because Arsenal need him, but because he has already shown he belongs there.
