Dharwad: Rangayana campus in Dharwad is buzzing with activities as over a hundred children are engaged in learning dance, music, craft, drama, drawing and painting among others at the summer camp organised by Dharwad Rangayana.
The focus of this camp, which commenced on April 10, is on teaching the basics of India's Constitution to the children through cultural activities and bringing out each child's talent through various creative activities, showcasing and nurturing it. Parents are spending the summer happily watching their children play games and learn new things.
Usually, the Rangayana here organises a children's camp every summer. However, this time, especially with the desire that children should be aware of the Constitution and that their love and respect for it should increase even more, Rangayana has focused on the Constitution at the theatre-centred children's summer camp, which will continue until May 5.
Theatre director Lakshman Peeragar is helming the camp. "Children who are busy with academic activities throughout the year have a desire to learn something new at the summer camp. To facilitate this, children are being taught through demonstration and visual arts instead of a lesson format. Along with drama, song, dance, comedy, painting and cinema, they are also being taught folk arts such as dollu kunita, mallakambha, jaggalagi, hejje kunitha, dalapatti and sudugada siddhara kale," Peeragar said.

Children are also learning paper craft, clay modelling, colouring activities, storytelling and folk songs. They are being educated on the basics of the Constitution, children's rights, relationships, home remedies, stress management, the evils of overuse of mobile phones and the environment.
There are 140 children in the camp and they have been divided into five groups, which have been named Equality, Freedom, Brotherhood, Democracy and Integrity. Children are rehearsing five plays - Samvidhana Sharanam Gachhami, Reality, Belaku Hanchida Baalaka, Adal Badal and Makkala Rajya- which will be staged on May 3, 4 and 5. They will also perform folk dances.
The camp is being run under the guidance of Rangayana director Raju Talikoti and the parents are providing great cooperation, Peeragar said.
Theatre artists Ganga Kalennavar, Sharanu Shettar, Pooja, Harikumar, Shruti, and singer Raghav Kammar are managing the camp. Organisers have plans to take the children to indegenous food fair (desi aahara mela), weekly fair (santhe), a temple fair (jathre) and chariot festival (rathotsava), fire brigade station and other places. They will also be shown how fake miracles can be exposed, Peeragar explained.

'It makes us look foolish': Leaked emails show UNC supporter complained about Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend
Jared C. Tilton / Getty Images file UNC brought in NFL legend Bill Belichick hoping for order, structure, and maybe even a little magic. What they didn't expect? A flood of alumni emails claiming his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, is calling shots off the books. From helping out at practice to reportedly handling interviews, Hudson's involvement has left Tar Heel supporters wondering: Who's the real head coach here? UNC fans are blasting the program for letting Jordon Hudson operate behind the scenes It didn't take long for UNC diehards to start raising red flags. According to reports, the university has received multiple complaints from concerned supporters who think Hudson is far too involved for someone who isn't on staff. One longtime fan didn't hold back, telling the university president directly: 'A coach who is clearly being run by a woman who is young enough to be his granddaughter … makes UNC look foolish.' Yikes. That line alone lit a fire online, with some fans worried this relationship could turn UNC football into a circus sideshow. Even though she's not on the payroll, Hudson's involvement feels a little too official UNC reportedly reminded Hudson she has no official role with the team but the issue is, no one's buying that anymore. She's been seen helping coordinate media duties, attending practices, and even participating in team activities. Belichick insists she's not employed by the school. But critics argue: If she's organizing interviews and hanging around team functions, what do titles even matter? It's not about paperwork, it's about influence. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Social Security Recipients Under $2,384/Mo Now Entitled To 12 "Kickbacks" This Month (Tap for List) SuperSavings Learn More Undo And fans think she's got way too much of it. Belichick is a football icon, no doubt. But this isn't New England anymore. Some fans say his current situation makes the program look more like reality TV than a disciplined team. And they're not just blaming Hudson, they're blaming Belichick for letting it happen. Here's where things get even messier: Belichick's contract reportedly includes a $1 million buyout, pocket change for someone of his stature. If UNC applies too much pressure, could he just walk? Supporters are asking tough questions. Is the school tiptoeing around the relationship to keep Belichick happy? Is the coach subtly flexing his power by involving Hudson, knowing no one wants to lose him? Whether this cools down or blows up even further depends on how UNC responds and whether Belichick adjusts his setup. For now, fans are watching every move. Newborn photography trends as more parents try to capture moments in heartwarming clicks
1 2 3 Pune: At just 15 days old, Kush Saha lay wrapped in soft fabrics, with a peacock feather tucked in and a flute by his side, resting on a bed of vibrant flowers—ready for his first photo. "We wanted Kush to depict Lord Krishna as he was born on Janmashtami. It was a beautiful setting and Kush cooperated so well in the entire shoot. We also experimented with other themes and settings," said Malini Saha, his mother, a resident of Pashan. With more parents wanting to capture early birth memories in unique, artistic manners, professional newborn photography has become highly sought after. Most of these shoots happen when the baby is 15-25 days old, and the photographs are taken when the baby is in deep sleep. "The photographers told us that older babies are tougher to handle during shoots as they get cranky. So we decided to take baby Anya for the shoot when she was only 20 days old. The photographers were professionally trained, so safety was not an issue for us," said Aditi Sharma, a resident of Wanowrie. Anya, in her first ever click was depicted as an angel, surrounded by delicate wings and soft glowing light—a fairy-tale scene where she rested peacefully in a tiny cradle. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo "When babies are in their newborn stage, they are sleeping most of the time, so it is easy to move them and style them in a safe manner. We wrap them according to how they were in their mother's womb. Most of the shoots are done when the babies are 2-4 weeks old," said Taronish Bulsara, who runs Tiny Treasure Studio at Salisbury Park. Through the setups, pre-selected by the parents, each photographer aims to capture the innocence and timeless beauty of a newborn, blending in cultural symbolism, nature, and fantasy to create magical and heart-warming memories. Kaustubh and Sneha Ghatol, who run Vibrant Shades Photography, have shot with about 1900 newborns over the last 4-5 years. "The ideal weight of the baby for photography should be 2.4 kg or more. We mostly do studio sessions because it's a controlled environment. The babies are wrapped in a comfort layer and a styling wrap. Shoots typically take 1.5 hours because we also have to keep in mind the comfort and needs of the baby during the shoot," said Kaustubh. Photographers charge upwards of Rs15,000 for a studio shoot with three setups and props. "We use a special light source designed for newborn photography, where diffusers are used, and the light is kept soft. We have also taken training on things like how to keep the baby calm during the shoot, wrapping styles, etc. Safety is of utmost priority because parents are trusting us with their little ones," said Manasi Deopurkar, a photographer based in Bavdhan.
