Temperatures tonight will fall into the lower 60s, with light northerly winds tapering to around 5 mph. We will remain mostly clear overnight.
Looking ahead to Sunday, expect highs in the lower 80s with plenty of sunshine through the day. By late afternoon, a line of thunderstorms is expected to develop over Topeka as a cold front moves through. A few of these storms could become strong to severe, with the greatest risk located southeast of Topeka. Most areas will stay dry Sunday.
We stay consistent with temperatures into next week with the low 80s sticking around through Monday. This puts us closer to average for early June. More 'summer-like' temperatures return midweek with upper 80s likely by Wednesday. Overall, next week brings a stretch of dry and sunny weather.

Warmup on the way, with a few southern storms in the mix
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – Happy Sunday, Utah! Summer vibes are settling in across Utah as high pressure builds in, continuing a warming trend that's set to carry us through early in the week. Daytime highs are on the rise, expect upper 80s to low 90s across most valleys, and close to 100° down in St. George this afternoon. We're still hanging onto just enough leftover moisture to spark a few isolated afternoon showers and storms, especially across southern Utah. These will be hit-or-miss and mostly short-lived, fading quickly once the sun goes down. Monday looks similar, though a weak disturbance could bring gusty outflow winds with any southern mountain storms. Looking ahead to midweek, moisture starts to creep back in thanks to a passing weather system. Storm chances pick up a bit across the higher terrain on Tuesday, and northern Utah could see a slight chance on Wednesday as that system brushes by. It's not looking like much for the valleys at this point, mainly cloudy cover and a slight chance of an isolated storm. By the end of the week, another disturbance could stir up more activity, but the details are still hazy. One thing's for sure… the heat is on, and we're heading into a stretch where fire weather could become a concern, especially in southwest Utah as winds ramp up throughout the week. Stay tuned. ‘Alligator Alley' reopens at Polk County reserve
BARTOW, Fla. (WFLA) — Circle B Bar Reserve's Alligator Alley trail reopened Wednesday after being closed due to significant damage sustained during Hurricane Milton. Alligator Alley is a popular site for alligators to make nests because of its proximity to Lake Hancock's shoreline. 'We're thrilled to announce the reopening of this trail,' said Gaye Sharpe, Parks and Natural Resources Director. 'It has been an ongoing effort to complete the repairs necessary for making the berm structure secure and safe for visitors who travel our trail system.' Despite the trail reopening, the alley typically closes during the summer for alligator mating and nesting seasons, as alligators become extremely territorial and protective of their nests. Storms cause significant damage in Mulga
MULGA, Ala. (WIAT) — Strong storms swept through central Alabama Saturday afternoon, taking down trees and leaving thousands without power. A thunderstorm came through the town of Mulga around 2:30 p.m. It took down dozens of trees, blocking roads, tearing down power lines and even a part of Roger Parkin's house. '15 seconds, the tree across the road fell in the front yard, and this one here about five seconds after it did,' said Parkin. 'I was under the carport and my wife came out to see if I was okay and that's when the tree came down right onto the room she was sitting in,' he added. Saban Center to break ground in July Parkin's home had the most significant damage CBS 42 saw in Mulga, but it wasn't the only home affected. Just down the road, Danielle Ward had a tree fall on both her cars, landing just feet from where she and her newborn were sitting. 'I was just sitting on the couch with my baby and my husband was playing video games, and I was about to get ready to go to work. And it started storming, and he was like, look outside, and I was like, oh my gosh, and my plants started falling, and he was going to go outside to get them, and then it just fell onto both of my vehicles,' commented Ward.
