Diganth: At times, we should go left when life pulls us right
Diganth is no stranger to curveballs, both in life and in cinema. A career marked by experimental subjects, physical injuries, and a quiet refusal to fit into mainstream moulds has made him one of Kannada cinema's most consistent risk-takers. And his upcoming film, Edagaiye Apagathakke Karana (EAK), releasing on June 13, might just be his most personal yet. The title, for Diganth, is more than a clever phrase — it's almost a mirror. 'The word in the title — Apagathake, which means an accident, instantly hits,' Diganth admits. 'It points to different points in my life. I've had my fair share of those... accidents that change everything.' Directed by debutant Samarth Kadkol, EAK explores a subject rarely touched in cinema: the world of left-handers. The film weaves sharp social commentary with moments of black comedy, touching on identity, conditioning, and the subtle struggles of being different. 'The moment I heard the concept, I said yes. A film about left-handers? That's rare,' says Diganth. 'Only 7–10% of the world is left-handed. However, in our society, many are forced to switch as children, simply because it's perceived as wrong. I've watched a lot of global cinema — Hollywood, Korean, world films — and I've never seen this subject explored.' Though a right-hander himself, Diganth fully committed to portraying a left-handed character — a process that was physically and mentally daunting. 'Samarth told me — the minute I step on set, no right hand. So I started eating with my left, scrolling my phone left-handed, brushing... everything,' he says. 'But 40 years of being right-handed doesn't change overnight.'

'Still in LA?': BLACKPINK Rosé's pre-DEADLINE World Tour activities spark controversy among BLINKs
Will BLACKPINK be in your area soon? That remains unclear, as fans have voiced growing frustration with YG Entertainment and the group's four members — Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. While reports suggest that BLACKPINK recently wrapped up filming a new music video in Seoul, some fans remain skeptical. It has come to light that Rosé is currently in Los Angeles, with recent sightings of the idol sparking criticism online. With the group's much-anticipated — yet controversy-ridden — DEADLINE world tour fast approaching, her presence abroad has raised concerns about rehearsals and overall preparedness. #BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR #블랙핑크 #WORLDTOUR #DEADLINE #YG Rosé in LA Fansites recently shared pictures of the idol in Los Angeles, prompting criticism from some netizens who questioned why she wasn't in South Korea rehearsing for the tour. Concerns about the group's readiness quickly followed, with many pointing to the lack of visible practice sessions or new music releases ahead of the DEADLINE world tour. OMG ROSÉ IN LA Many users on X (formerly Twitter) also brought up issues from the Born Pink World Tour, where the members were criticized for frequent mistakes and a lack of synchronization on stage. With a new world tour approaching—and the group having released only 32 songs over more than eight years—many BLINKs are worried the members may once again face harsh criticism. yeah that tour is about to be a mess you should be practicing and rehearsing right now 🤨 Man blackpink are starting to piss me off more day by day GIRL GO PRACTICE FOR THE WORLD TOUR SO Y'ALL WONT EMBARRASS YOURSELVES AND WHEN IS THE GROUP CB However, many fans came to Rosé's defense, arguing that she was being unfairly singled out. They also pointed out the lack of transparency regarding the members' individual schedules and emphasized that it was unreasonable to place the blame solely on her. Supporters also highlighted that preparing for a world tour is a collective responsibility and shouldn't rest on Rosé alone. "that tour going to be a mess" just because Rosé is the only one spotted in LA doesn't mean the rest of them ARE in Korea especially since they can fly ANYWHERE ANYTIME. What's not clicking. Also, Rosé is the LEAST of your worries for that tour. From the last 2 days people who supposedly like her are camping in qrts of posts related to her, fuming and calling her names…..it's like yg and the other 3 are not responsible for group things anymore it's just rosé. The incident underscores growing concerns among fans, who fear the tour may be underprepared due to unclear planning and limited promotional efforts. Siddhant Chaturvedi romances When the Phone Rings star Chae So Bin in new video, fans react: ‘K-drama meets Mumbai rains'
The Bollywood-K-drama crossover nobody saw coming. Siddhant Chaturvedi recently teamed up with South Korean actor Chae So Bin for a footwear ad shot in Mumbai, and the internet nearly branded it AI-generated before realising the commercial was as real as So Bin flying down to India for the shoot. The K-drama star recently shot to fame with her Netflix series When the Phone Rings alongside Yoo Yeon Seok. Her collaboration with the Gully Boy star was kept under wraps until the video suddenly exploded on social media. Also read: BTS' RM says mental health worsened amid HYBE issues, had to rely on pills: 'I cried all night, kept saying I was going to die' The commercial serves up every romance cliché Bollywood and K-dramas are known for — rainy days, umbrellas, and the classic accidental run-ins. The video shows the duo stepping out for a rainy day date, packed with splashes, slips, and umbrella-sharing moments, textbook K-drama romance, only this time with a very Mumbai monsoon spin. The scene opens with Chae So Bin walking in the rain holding her white umbrella. Siddhant's car drives past, splashing water all over her white Crocs. She shoots him an annoyed glare. He steps out, regret written all over his face, trying to fix his car's tyre. As she walks away, she suddenly pauses, watches him getting soaked, and then steps back, covering him with her umbrella. He looks up, she chuckles, the perfect meet-cute. This comes after weeks of buzz about the K-drama star shooting something in India. Earlier, photos from the set had gone viral, sparking wild fan theories, until it was finally revealed to be an ad for American footwear brand. The video started gaining traction after Crocs Japan dropped it midweek. The caption read, 'Even rainy days are like love, let's enjoy 🌈.' One wrote, 'Korean actor × Indian actor × Japanese account × English song. What a collab.' Another joked, 'What in the multiverse is this?' A third chimed in, 'Please tell me they actually went on a date together, oh please.' A fourth said, 'This is the closest to world peace we'll ever get, Korea, India, Japan, America.' Some even started rallying for them to get cast together in a project. Chae So Bin debuted in 2014 with My Dictator and grabbed the spotlight with Love in the Moonlight. She went on to headline hit K-dramas like Strongest Deliveryman, I'm Not a Robot, and Where Stars Land. But it was her Netflix breakout When the Phone Rings that made her a household name. In the drama, she plays a mute anchor who uses sign interpretation. Meanwhile, Siddhant is a Bollywood regular with leading roles in films like Shakun Batra's Gehraiyaan, Phone Bhoot, and more.
