One piece of advice posted on the r/ GlastonburyFestival subreddit has received a lot of attention. It reads: "Start stretching your hamstrings now! If you get increasing pain in your lower back towards the end of the festival (like I did, as did a few others in our group) I learned a likely reason for this is because hamstrings are too tight - with the amount of walking and dancing at Glastonbury, this can throw off pelvic alignment and strain lower back. Hip mobility, hamstring stretches and strengthening your core/ glutes will help ease this suffering."
Many forum users echoed this advice, stressing the importance of exercising and walking daily in the lead-up to the festival.
One user shared: "Yeah me and my girlfriend have started walking everyday after work to try get ourselves in festival order."
Another added: "Start stretching everything. Glastonbury is an endurance challenge."
