Kāinga Ora appears not to care about mistreated dogs
Kainga Ora doesn't seem to care about dogs being mistreated at their properties or being kept by tenants without proper agreements, according to an Auckland resident who said he's been complaining to the agency about abused animals for years. The Onehunga resident spoke to Lisa Owen.

RNZ recognised at Radio and Podcast Awards

The Detail , a Newsroom production for RNZ, again picked up best news and current affairs podcast. Nellie's Baby , a hit podcast by RNZ investigative journalist Kirsty Johnston, won best society and culture podcast. In the radio categories, Newstalk ZB's Mike Hosking was awarded best talk presenter, ahead of stablemate Heather du Plessis, RNZ's Lisa Owen for Checkpoint and Morning Report' s Corin Dann and Ingrid Hipkiss. Sunday Morning host Jim Mora was recognised for services to broadcasting. Newstalk ZB won network station of the year and More FM Northland won local station of the year. The Sir Paul Holmes Broadcaster of the Year was Newstalk ZB's Heather du Plessis-Allan. The full list of winners is here . Light earthquake in Wellington region
Hundreds of people reported feeling the light quake. Photo: RNZ / Alison Ballance A magnitude 3.6 earthquake has struck the Wellington region. Geonet says the light earthquake occurred at 6.14pm and was at a depth of 21km and centred 15km west of Martinborough. By 6.20pm more than 1500 people had reported feeling it.
