Inside Gene Simmons' $21m Beverly Hills mansion
Gene Simmons is offloading his $US14 million ($A21.9 million) Beverly Hills mansion — but he's got some strict rules for prospective buyers.
The Kiss bassist, 75, purchased the four-bedroom property in 2021 for $US10.5 million so he and his wife, Shannon Tweed Simmons, could have a residence in California after relocating to Las Vegas.
According to Realtor, the couple struggled with the scorching heat in Nevada and ultimately decided to put their Vegas property back on the market in favour of returning to Beverly Hills and setting up permanent residence inside their ultra-modern house.
Simmons and his wife recently snapped up a beach house in Malibu, which they now plan to make their full-time home, leaving them with little use for their Beverly Hills mansion.
The home is already facing a limited pool of prospective buyers.
However, that hasn't stopped Simmons from narrowing down potential parties even more — namely by excluding anyone he believes will soil the happy memories he and his family have made inside its walls.
'You have such wonderful times there, you don't want some schmuck in the place you call home,' the rock legend told the Wall Street Journal.
'No drugs, no alcoholics. I don't want anybody coming in there who is going to destroy the place.'
Provided a buyer is able to make it through Simmons' strict selection process, they will have quite the opulent pad on their hands.
The pricey property comes with a '40-foot glass-like infinity pool, dramatic drought-tolerant landscaping, and bold bronze geometric sculptures that offer a distinct artistic statement,' according to a press release shared with Realtor.
Simmons' property is made of 'glass, steel, oak wood and concrete elements,' which emphasise the sweeping views of the mountains, valleys, and ocean.
In a statement, Simmons revealed that the views were what drew him to the property in the first place.
'My favourite part of the house is waking up in the morning in the upper bedroom, having coffee in bed, and on a clear day being able to see all the way out to the ocean,' he shared.
'And my other favourite time is sunset in the upper bedroom or downstairs barbecuing something outdoors. The views really are spectacular.'
The five-bathroom property boasts a gallery space, and a home theatre.
Staggering fortune Harry, Meghan lost exposed
Additionally, Simmons' pad 'utilizes solar-power for pool and radiant heated flooring, eco-materials and fire-resistant, waterproof triple-panel windows.'
'This home is a rare example of Swiss architectural mastery, built with exceptional quality, thoughtful details, and a focus on longevity,' Young added.
'From the Swiss steel framework and sleek fixtures to the fibre cement exterior panels that can go more than 50 years without maintenance, everything was designed to last.
'The 40-foot glasslike infinity pool is a real showstopper, surrounded by lush, drought-tolerant landscaping, and the bold bronze geometric sculptures add a cool, artistic vibe to the outdoor space.
'It's the kind of property that's extremely rare and truly special — made even more iconic by having been home to a rock legend.'
Despite its concrete structure, Simmons told the Journal the property is still 'homey and outdoorsy.'
Upon entering the home, guests are greeted with an expansive living area filled with cozy couches and a wood-panelled wall.
The living room and chef's kitchen are separated by half of a wall, which comes with a mini fire pit.
Moving to the outdoor space, there is a large fire pit surrounded by gray couches.
The other side of the patio features another seating area and a grill.
Simmons previously sold his Nevada property for $US11 million. He now calls a $US5.8 million Malibu home his primary residence.
He and Shannon purchased the three-bedroom, four-bathroom home, which was initially supposed to be an investment pad, in 2021.

Nick Jonas 'to play KISS frontman Paul Stanley in biopic'
Nick Jonas has reportedly been lined up to play KISS frontman Paul Stanley in a new biopic. The pop star/actor is believed to have been tapped to portray the band's frontman in 'Shout It Out Loud', which will be directed by McG and will chart the rock band's rise to fame. The Hollywood Reporter reports Jonas is in "final talks" to take on the role of Stanley, while movie bosses are still looking for an actor to play the singer's bassist bandmate Gene Simmons. The group is helping to develop the project while Stanley and Simmons are among the producers along with McG. reports Jonas plans to take on singing duties in the film and needs time to train his voice to be able to emulate Stanley's signature vocals. Longtime KISS manager Doc McGhee previously revealed the movie would focus on the band's first four years together after forming in the 1970s. Speaking to Talking Metal in 2021, he explained: "[The script is] completely done … And the script is about the first four years of KISS. Basically, it's before they were famous - it was up to Cadillac High [KISS' famous gig in a high school gym in Cadillac, Michigan in 1975] , that kind of thing ... "And I think it's a very interesting look at the formation of KISS, the mindset of how that came about, the social pressure that everybody was in in the '60s and '70s that brought something like KISS to the forefront, that it could actually happen. So it's a very interesting, and I think it's a well-written movie." Stanley has also previously spoken about the movie, telling broadcaster Kylie Olsson in 2021: "[The movie is] definitely happening. And that's gonna be really interesting. The script was really good. And we really waited until we felt comfortable." He added of actors who could play him in the film: "I will tell you this: for casting to be accurate in terms of age, we are looking at actors in their early 20s. "Honestly, I don't know a whole lot of actors in their early 20s. When people get asked these kinds of questions, they'll say, 'Oh, Brad Pitt,' or this one or that one. "Well, those guys are in their 50s or 60s, so you're talking about another generation of actors. And I'm the first to say I'm not up on a lot of them. "But as the casting process goes on, I'll certainly be there and watching. It'll be interesting to see how someone else- be it the casting people or the director - how they view who I am and who they see doing that. I think I'll learn a lot about their perception of me by who they cast."

As Longines' new Global Ambassador of Elegance, Henry Cavill has placed his considerable cachet behind the Swiss watchmaker, long known for producing some of the most refined timepieces money can buy. This partnership between the Hollywood leading man and the iconic maison has certainly hit the ground running with the outstanding new Longines Spirit Zulu Time 1925. Marking 100 years since Longines launched its first dual-time wristwatch in the form of 1925's 'Zulu Time', this release is more than just a meticulous embodiment of Longines' ongoing commitment to tracking multiple time zones at a glance. With its stunning rotating bezel adorned with an 18K rose-gold cap—a first for the Spirit Zulu Time collection—this reference is also absolutely guaranteed to turn heads, even for those who don't share Cavill's superhuman physique. In order to celebrate this new timepiece and the recently announced partnership, we had the chance to chat briefly with Cavill—best known for roles like Superman, The Witcher's Geralt of Rivia, and August Walker in Mission: Impossible – Fallout—to discover what makes the Longines Spirit Zulu Time 1925 special and how he views the true meaning of elegance. Henry Cavill wearing his Longines Spirit Zulu Time 1925 | Image: Supplied MoM: Thank you for taking the time to chat with Man of Many. Much like Superman is a symbol of hope, Longines' Global Ambassador of Elegance should similarly represent that concept. So what does elegance mean to you, and how do you feel you embody elegance in a way that's uniquely your own? Henry Cavill: It's very difficult to describe one's own elegance without simultaneously invalidating it! It's something that my parents encouraged in me. Always strive for excellence without being callous or garish about it. MoM: You've been quoted as having an appreciation for Longines' understated approach, saying that 'True quality doesn't need to announce itself.' Is that approach something you feel is rare, and how does it align with your experiences throughout your career? Henry Cavill: In today's world, where people are encouraged to announce their qualities for fear of being drowned out in the noise…. yes, it can be rare. I've sometimes drifted into the background for following what I've said above, but time and patience can be telling. MoM: Turning to Longines' new Spirit Zulu Time 1925 releases, what do you feel makes these timepieces special, and what is the significance of a watch's dual-time functionality in a world of smartphones? Henry Cavill: Aside from the storied history and 100-year anniversary of a beautiful watch that ties in elements of the Prime Meridian itself, it's about connection. At a simple glance, I can understand what time of day my loved ones might be in, and my imagination can go there, allowing me to share a very unique and personal moment. A smartphone, for all its wonders, is also a potential rabbit hole of distraction. MoM: You're now taking on producing duties, including for a highly anticipated Warhammer 40,000 project. Can you describe how that kind of overview can impact your appreciation for the intricacies of crafting something unique and complex? Henry Cavill: I've loved every moment, even the difficult ones. Having my hand at the tiller, rather than at the whims of others, especially for something that I love so dearly, has been a reassuring experience. Warhammer is unique and complex enough all by itself; it's about reflecting that uniqueness on screen and on the page. It's a challenge that I'm enjoying. MoM: What would you describe as your most elegant on-screen moment and why? Henry Cavill: I'm not sure that's for me to say. It also might be in the eye of the beholder. Henry Cavill's Longines Spirit Zulu Time 1925 helps him feel connected to friends and family | Image: Supplied It's a fair point that echoes the way we watch lovers each have our own unique perspective with regard to different timepieces. Having said that, there's little argument that the new Spirit Zulu Time 1925 timepiece is anything but a triumphant and highly elegant celebration of 100 extraordinary years since Longines launched its first dual-time wristwatch. With Cavill now on the Longines team, it's impossible to imagine we won't see the horological powerhouse continue to refine and redefine how we perceive elegance throughout 2025 and beyond. And with upcoming projects like his beloved Warhammer 40K universe, Voltron, Highlander, and more, Cavill will surely have more need than ever to track multiple time zones via his Spirit Zulu Time 1925.

OMEGA's New Ambassador Announcement Proves It Has a Golden Eye for Talent
By Nick Hall - News Published: 26 May 2025 Share Copy Link Readtime: 5 min Every product is carefully selected by our editors and experts. If you buy from a link, we may earn a commission. The announcement is fuelling speculation that Taylor-Johnson will soon be named as the next James Bond actor . . OMEGA has been the official watch partner of 007 since 1996's GoldenEye. Swiss luxury watch brand OMEGA has no shortage of celebrity fans and famous patrons. From Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne to the ultra-sophisticated and debonair George Clooney, the maison's rolodex is a proverbial who's who of the Hollywood elite. However, despite dominating the wardrobes and wrists of A-list actors the world over, it seems the world is not enough. One name that continues to elude the Swiss watchmaker is that of British super-spy James Bond. Following the 2021 release of No Time to Die, the final film to feature Daniel Craig in the iconic role, the hunt for the next James Bond has dominated film circles and internet forums. Fan casts have tipped everyone from Idris Elba to Nicholas Galitzine for the much-coveted part. However, franchise owner Eon Productions, which sold the rights to Bond to Amazon earlier this year but still retains creative control over the next instalment, has remained tight-lipped over who is destined to take up the mantle. Long-time partner and official Bond watch producer OMEGA, on the other hand, may have just let the cat out of the bag. Aaron Taylor-Johnson with OMEGA President and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann | Image: OMEGA In a blockbuster announcement straight from its Biel headquarters, OMEGA confirmed British actor and current Bond frontrunner Aaron Taylor-Johnson as its newest brand ambassador. Ruggedly handsome, quick-witted and with an undeniable sense of screen presence, the 34-year-old rising star looks to be the perfect replacement for Daniel Craig. Now, he has the watch to back it up. 'I place significant value on relationships that are genuine and built on mutual passion and respect. With that, it's a tremendous honour to be selected as a brand ambassador,' Taylor-Johnson said in a statement confirming the partnership. 'My interest in watches first began with my dad, who introduced me to OMEGA, if you can believe it. He was working class and saved his earnings to purchase an OMEGA watch.' Daniel Craig wearing an OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M in 'No Time to Die' (2021) | Image: MGM As fans of the Ian Fleming franchise will know, OMEGA has been the preferred timepiece of Bond since 1996. The Swiss watchmaker first appeared in the Pierce Brosnan-led hit GoldenEye and has been a staple in the series since then. Famously, Sean Connery's Bond were a Rolex Submariner Ref. 6538 from his own personal collection for the first few films in the series, followed by a string of unusual and eclectic timepieces that ranged from Gruen Precision 510 to a Seiko M354 Memory Bank Calendar, but for the past three decades, Bond has been staunchly brand-loyal. Both Brosnan and Craig-era Bonds favoured OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M models, renowned for their robust case design, resistance to pressure and, much like 007 himself, hard-nosed good looks. The connection between the film franchise and the watchmaker has been a marketing masterstroke, not only spurring a number of special edition models, such as the 60 Years of Bond release from 2022 or the Platinum-Gold Seamaster from 2020, but also helping to bring the collection on par with its much-loved Speedmaster range. However, it's not the only tactic that OMEGA HQ has used to great effect. Daniel Craig wearing the Bronze Gold and Burgundy OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M at 15th Annual Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science's Governors Awards in November 2024 | Image: Getty In recent years, the brand has become remarkably adept at guerrilla-marketing efforts, tapping outgoing Bond actor Daniel Craig for a string of well-orchestrated product leaks. Whilst attending the 2024 Paris Olympics, Craig was spotted wearing a mysterious, silver-toned OMEGA sans date window that many fans speculated was a then-unreleased prototype. Two months later, the Swiss luxury brand officially announced the Seamaster Diver 300M No-Date. It was a similar story in March 2024, when fans spied a never-before-seen Speedmaster on the Bond actor's wrist; a timepiece that would ultimately become the Speedmaster Moonwatch with Lacquered White Dial. With OMEGA no stranger to getting ahead of the news, the announcement of Aaron Taylor-Johnson as brand ambassador feels very much like a sign of things to come. 'Aaron is such a versatile actor, with a range that covers action, thriller, romance and much more,' OMEGA president and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann said. 'At OMEGA, we've always been impressed by that all-around quality, and his pioneering approach to so many roles. His passion for watches is also clear, so we're delighted to welcome him as a new ambassador and share the excitement of our latest creations.' Aaron Taylor-Johnson announced as OMEGA Brand Ambassador | Image: OMEGA Aaron Taylor-Johnson announced as OMEGA Brand Ambassador | Image: OMEGA Aaron Taylor-Johnson announced as OMEGA Brand Ambassador | Image: OMEGA In a post confirming the new ambassadorship, OMEGA published a series of images showing Taylor-Johnson exploring the renowned watchmaking facilities and heritage museum. Most importantly, the images depict him wearing a Speedmaster First OMEGA in Space on a brown leather strap, a timepiece that celebrates heritage, tradition, and new beginnings. While not the traditional Bond Seamaster 300, you could argue that the First OMEGA in Space model is a subtle reference to Bond's 1979 celestial escapade, Moonraker, but that may be reading a little too deep. While there is still no clear indication of who will slip into the British super-spy's crisp Saville Row suit, the latest news out of Switzerland bodes well for the future of the franchise. The 007 throne is crying out for a fresh new approach, one that is younger, bolder and built for longevity. Whether you like it or not, you can't help but acknowledge that Aaron Taylor-Johnson looks good in OMEGA.
