Trump warned Netanyahu against striking Iran

President Donald Trump warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against taking any kind of action that could disrupt the Iran nuclear talks, the president revealed on Wednesday. 'Yes, I did,' he said when asked about in the Oval Office.
Trump added that an agreement could come together 'over the next couple of weeks, if it happens.' The president's comments came as the head of the United Nations´ atomic watchdog said 'the jury is still out' on negotiations between Iran and the U.S. over Tehran's growing nuclear program.
Iran and the U.S. so far have held five rounds of talks in both Muscat, Oman, and in Rome, mediated by Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi. A sixth round has yet to be set.
The talks seek to limit Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of some of the crushing economic sanctions the U.S. has imposed on the Islamic Republic, closing in on a half-century of enmity. Iran said earlier Wednesday it may consider allowing US inspectors with the United Nations nuclear watchdog to inspect its facilities if a deal is reached with the United States.
But Israel has repeatedly threatened military action against arch-enemy Iran and US media reports last week said Israel was making preparations to strike Iranian nuclear sites despite the ongoing US-Iran talks.
Trump and Netanyahu spoke last week. The president has not ruled out military action but said he wants space to make a deal first -- and has also said that Israel, and not the United States -- would take the lead in any such strikes.
Iran has long been accused by Western powers of seeking to develop nuclear weapons -- a claim Tehran has consistently denied, insisting its nuclear program is solely for peaceful, civilian purposes.
Trump, meanwhile, has repeatedly threatened to unleash airstrikes targeting Iran´s program, if a deal isn't reached. Iranian officials increasingly warn they could pursue a nuclear weapon with their stockpile of uranium.

Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, the man suspected of fatally shooting King of the Hill and Parks and Recreation actor Jonathan Joss, is out of jail on a $200,000 bail. Just days after he was arrested for murder, law enforcement officers in San Antonio confirmed to TMZ that Alvarez, who was Joss' neighbor, has 'been placed under house arrest.' He is required to wear an ankle monitor and will 'undergo random drug and alcohol testing.' During his detention, Alvarez is also forbidden from possessing firearms. Joss, 59, died in San Antonio, Texas, on Sunday after a reported altercation with Alvarez outside his home. Alvarez was captured by law enforcement and booked on suspicion of murder. The report from the San Antonio Police Department obtained by states Alvarez uttered 'I shot him' as he was detained by arresting officers. New details about the run-up to the violent crime have also emerged via the report, with an unnamed witness stating they drove Joss from Austin to his burned down San Antonio home around 7pm on June 1 to check his mail. The witness said she pulled up and parked in the driveway while she waited for Joss and another witness to check the mail. Joss' husband Tristan Kern de Gonzales has claimed he was with the actor on this trip and during the murder. Per the report, she said she saw suspect Alvarez pull up in his vehicle with a passenger and stop 'directly behind her car.' She allegedly saw Joss and Alvarez argue in her rearview mirror, and claimed Alvarez told Joss 'he had a gun and would shoot [Joss].' She claims Alvarez then shot Joss. Per the report, Joss was pronounced dead at the scene at 7.20pm and Alvarez was detained by police and 'immediately told them "I shot him." His weapons were seized. The report states that '[Alvarez] intentionally and knowingly discharged a weapon at [Joss] resulting in his death Joss' husband has since claimed the star's death was a homophobia-fueled murder - although police have dismissed this theory. A statement from a San Antonio PD spokesman read: 'Despite online claims of this being a hate crime, currently the investigation has found no evidence to indicate that Mr. Joss's murder was related to his sexual orientation.' A small town in Idaho has been rattled by more than 35 earthquakes in just 24 hours. The US Geological Survey (USGS) recorded the swarm near Stanley, a town of fewer than 150 people perched along a fault line capable of producing major quakes. The latest tremor, a 3.5 magnitude, hit at 9:48am PT (12:48pm ET) on Wednesday. Stanley sits near the Sawtooth Fault, a 40-mile-long fault line running through central Idaho. While geologically ancient, the Sawtooth Fault was only clearly identified in 2010. It drew national attention after a magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck in 2020, one of the largest in Idaho's recent history, which was felt across several states. Experts have called the Sawtooth Fault a 'sleeping giant' as it is dormant for long periods but capable of triggering a devastating earthquake when it awakens. This week's constant wave of seismic activity in the same area is 'unusual' and concerning to Idaho state geologist Claudio Berti, who said it's unclear what's going to happen next.
