Cosmopolitan4 days ago

The first Islander was dumped from the Love Island villa tonight (Tuesday, 10th June).
It may only be day two of season 12, but after a brutal twist which saw Toni Laites steal Ben Holbrough from Shakira Khan, fans learned that one Islander would be going home the next day.
Shakira was given the challenge of coupling up with one of the other boys, or having to go home.
Maya returned to the villa 24 hours later to see if Shakira had done enough to keep herself safe and reveal which girl would be going home, as she asked the boys to stand up if they thought they had a stronger connection with Shakira over their original partner.
So, who left the Love Island villa tonight?
Read on for everything you need to know on the first dumped Islander.
Sophie Lee was the first Islander to be dumped from the villa for season 12.
After Monday night's twist which saw Toni stealing Ben from Shakira, and Shakira was given just 24 hours to couple up with someone else or go home, Maya returned to the villa to find out where everyone's head was at.
She asked the boys to stand up if they thought they had a stronger connection with Shakira and Blu, Conor and Harry each stood up, putting their girls at risk.
Shakira then had to decide who she wanted to couple up with. She chose Harry, which meant that his current partner, Sophie, would be going home.
After being made single, Shakira cracked on with Dejon, which didn't sit well with Meg, and also got chatting to Conor, Harry, Blu and Tommy.
"You surprised me, you came in with massive energy, but I feel like you're not like that, you're chill and smart," Harry told Shakira on the terrace.
"I love the Irish accent, it's sexy! I've never dated an Irish guy," Shakira replied.
During her conversation with Blu, she told him: "I think it's good cause it gives everyone a kick up the bum…I think you've got a good vibe…you're very calming and I don't have to put on a bravado."
Meanwhile, she admitted to Tommy: "I think it's best I try to get to know everyone."
Tommy's partner Megan got a little jealous and immediately broke up the conversation, with a plan to "lips" Tommy and "claim" her man.
Love Island airs Weekdays and Sundays on ITV2 at 9pm.

Princess Eugenie Just Hinted at Where She Stands With Prince William Amid His Feud With Her ‘Close' Cousin Harry

Princess Eugenie has been close cousins with Prince Harry since they were kids, but where does she stand with his brother (and enemy), Prince William? It looks like she isn't taking sides in the brothers' feud. Eugenie hinted that she's on good terms with William at a garden party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, May 20, hosted by William and his wife, Kate Middleton. Also in attendance were William and Eugenie's cousin Zara Tindall; their aunt and uncle Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh; and King Charles' cousin Prince Edward, Duke of Gloucester, and his wife, Birgitte van Deurs Henriksen. 'The Duke remains close to Princess Eugenie. They always have and always will be,' a source told the magazine at the time. Related: A timeline of those Prince William and Rose Hanbury affair rumors The report came after Piers Morgan claimed on his talk show Piers Morgan Uncensored that Harry went 'completely ballistic' at Eugenie for being photographed with Morgan and others at a pub in London. People's source denied Morgan's claim. As for William and Harry, it doesn't look like the brothers will reconcile anytime soon. A source told Page Six in May 2025 that the brothers haven't spoken in two years and that their relationship had become so bad that those close to the princes can't see Harry attending William's coronation when he becomes king. The insider also added that they couldn't even envision William inviting Harry after his BBC interview in which he blamed Charles for the his fallout with the royal family. 'I think it's done … I don't think there's [any] coming back from that,' the insider said. 'Before the interview, we thought, 'Come on William, extend a hand to your brother. But now it seems that Harry hasn't learned s–t.' A source also told Radar Online in May 2025 that Harry and William's feud has put a strain on his marriage to Kate, who is keen to reconcile with Harry. 'William is furious that Harry's speaking out again and doing interviews – he's convinced this isn't the end of it,' the insider said. 'He's made it clear to the rest of the family that they should keep their distance from the Sussexes, because anything shared could be turned against them.' The source continued, 'William doesn't like having to put his foot down with Kate, but he sees this as necessary to protect everyone. What he's most worried about is that anything Kate says to Harry could be twisted or resurface later – especially if there's another book, or if Meghan decides to tell her own side of the story.' The insider added that, while Kate is also 'upset' with Harry, she's more likely to forgive him to reunite the family. 'Kate's deeply upset with Harry, but she's also frustrated that William and the rest of the family have allowed things to deteriorate this badly,' the source said. 'It's heartbreaking for her to watch the family so publicly divided.' Princess Eugenie Subtly Forms Alliance With William as She Distances Herself From ‘Close' Cousin Harry

The British Royal family drama has reached a point where it seems like everyone has to pick sides. And picking sides they are. From Princess Alexandra, to Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, Prince Andrew's kids, everyone's choosing what side they stand on in the feud between Prince William and Prince Harry. And considering Prince William seems ready to cut Prince Andrew off from the family forever, it might be surprising what side his daughter seems to be on. Princess Eugenie is said to have formed an alliance with Prince William, one that comes from their shared passion for the environment. The Princess, who used to be very close with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has clearly chosen a side according to the New York Post and has strengthened her relationship with both William and Kate Middleton. More from StyleCaster Prince William Faces Devastating News After King Charles' Cancer Found 'Incurable' Charles Just Created a 'Huge Problem' With Beatrice & Eugenie Amid Reports William Wants 'Toxic' Andrew Out of the Family Related: Did William really cheat on Kate? 'Eugenie has been supportive of Harry and Meghan for years and was right there at the beginning of their relationship — but it has now soured,' a source told the Sun about the cousins. Eugenie had remained on close terms with Harry and Meghan long after their departure from royal duties, and is thought the be the only royal who has visited the couple in the United States. She was even featured in their 2022 Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan. This comes amid long-standing reports that Prince William is crafting his own blueprint for the next generation of working royals. And that future very much does not include his uncle, Prince Andrew. 'Prince William has long had a strained and distant relationship with Andrew,' royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital, adding that the Prince holds 'a grudge against his disgraced uncle.' 'Andrew's future within the royal family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back,' Fordwich also told the outlet. 'He wants Andrew to vanish from public view.' However, his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are widely expected to take on larger roles when Prince William becomes King. The two are not working members of the royal family, but they step in unofficially when needed. 'When William ascends the throne, Beatrice and Eugenie will be valuable assets, and I'm certain they will get involved with royal duties. It makes perfect sense, because he will need them,' Ingrid Seward, royal author and editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told Hello!. Someone who will likely not have anything to do with Prince William's new ideas for the monarchy is his brother, Prince Harry. In fact, some reports even indicate William is ready to strip his brother and Meghan Markle of their titles. 'It's no secret William wants Harry more harshly dealt with. He thinks he has betrayed the family from top to bottom, which is the ultimate Windsor crime. It wouldn't take much to provoke him to flex his muscles when he is king,' a palace insider told The Daily Beast. To recap, Princess Eugenie is yet another royal who is sticking with the monarchy on this feud. And she could become someone we see way more often as soon as Prince William becomes King. Blue Eye Samurai Season 2: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on June 14, 2025, 18:30 IST Last updated June 14, 2025, 12:15 IST Blue Eye Samurai took the streaming world by storm with its stunning animation, gripping storyline, and complex characters when it debuted on Netflix in November 2023. The R-rated animated series, set in Edo-period Japan, follows Mizu, a mixed-race samurai voiced by Maya Erskine, on a bloody quest for revenge. After a critically acclaimed first season, Netflix swiftly greenlit Blue Eye Samurai Season 2, leaving fans eager for more. Here's everything we know so far about Season 2. Release Date Speculation for Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 While Netflix confirmed the renewal of Blue Eye Samurai for Season 2 in December 2023, no official release date has been announced. Based on production timelines and statements from the creators, fans may need to exercise patience. The first season was greenlit in October 2020 and took three years to produce, partly due to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. With production for Season 2 already underway, the timeline is expected to be slightly shorter, but high-quality animation remains time-intensive. Executive Producer Jane Wu and co-creators Michael Green and Amber Noizumi have hinted at a 2026 release window during interviews. Wu noted that the team is working on the first episode, with four of the six episodes already written. Given the complexity of the 2D/3D hybrid animation style, which aims to resemble a 'moving painting,' a 2026 premiere seems realistic. Some reports speculate a late 2025 release, but most evidence points to 2026 as the earliest likely date. Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Expected Cast The voice cast for Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 is expected to feature many returning stars from the first season. Here's a breakdown of the likely cast: Maya Erskine as Mizu : The titular blue-eyed samurai, a half-Japanese, half-white warrior disguised as a man, will continue her vengeance-driven journey. Erskine's performance has been a cornerstone of the series' success. Kenneth Branagh as Abijah Fowler : The Shogun-allied Irish smuggler, spared by Mizu in Season 1, is expected to return as a key antagonist. Masi Oka as Ringo : The loyal, optimistic cook and Mizu's companion is likely to continue his journey alongside her. Brenda Song as Princess Akemi : The strong-willed princess, whose arc intertwined with Mizu's in Season 1, is expected to return. Darren Barnet as Taigen : Mizu's rival-turned-uneasy ally, a proud samurai, is likely to feature prominently. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as The Swordmaker : Mizu's mentor figure is expected to return. Stephanie Hsu as Ise and Ming-Na Wen as Madame Kaji : Both supporting characters are likely to reprise their roles. Harry Shum Jr. as Takayoshi : Another key figure expected to return. Freddie Fox as Poet: A new character introduced for Season 2, though details about whether Poet is a friend or foe remain undisclosed. Plot Details for Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 The first season of Blue Eye Samurai ended with a major cliffhanger, setting the stage for a bold new direction in Season 2. Mizu, having confronted and spared Abijah Fowler, learns that her quest for revenge against the three remaining white men who could be her father leads her beyond Japan. The season finale sees Mizu embarking for London, marking a significant shift from the Edo-period Japan setting to Europe, likely England. This change promises to explore how Mizu navigates Western culture and whether her perceptions of Europeans as 'monsters' hold true. Season 2 will consist of six episodes, down from the eight in Season 1, but each episode will average around 44 minutes, ensuring substantial storytelling. The narrative will continue to focus on Mizu's quest for vengeance, with new challenges and enemies emerging as she pursues the remaining traffickers.
