Mother, baby seriously injured after car crash on SE Division Street
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A mother and her baby are injured after a car crashed into them on SE Division Street early Wednesday morning, according to Portland police.
Officers responded to the crash near SE 164th Avenue around 6:50 a.m. and found the woman and her child — believed to be about 18 months old — with 'serious injuries.'

The pair were taken to the hospital for treatment, and the driver involved in the crash remained on the scene.
Authorities have closed SE Division Street in both directions between 162nd and 170th avenues. It is not clear how long this closure will last.

PF&R investigating ‘suspicious' Powellhurst-Gilbert apartment fire
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Portland Fire & Rescue is investigating after a 'suspicious' fire at an apartment building in the Powellhurst-Gilber Neighborhood early Sunday morning. Just before 6 a.m., PF&R responded to a reported residential fire near the intersection of Southeast 118th and Holgate, where the Bureau of Emergency Communication indicated that fire and smoke was seen from a recently vacated apartment. On the scene, crews saw the blaze on the first and second level of an apartment with smoke pushing through the garage and on the eave line. Sheriff wants to charge for rescues of 'negligent, reckless' hikers in Skamania County Crews were able to quickly suppress the fire and said all occupants made it out of the building. According to PF&R, there were no reported injuries and neighboring apartment units were unaffected. Officials said there were reports of a suspicious person on the property who was quickly arrested by police and has since been released from police custody. Three shot, one arrested at Pennsylvania bar
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) — Three people were shot overnight at a Pennsylvania bar, police said. This happened at a sports bar in the 1100 block of Airport Road in Allentown around 2 a.m. Sunday. Allentown Police said they were called for a report of shots fired and found a man injured. Two other victims were taken to area hospitals, police said. All are expected to survive, police said. As officers were investigating, police said they saw a man discard a firearm under a nearby vehicle. That man — Javian Anthony Sabater, 24, of Bethlehem — was charged with persons not to possess a firearm and tampering with evidence. Police are investigating and there is no danger to the community.
