Greggs unveiled its summer menu last week, but while some are thrilled with the new additions, others have a significant gripe with the seasonal offerings. The bakery chain has introduced 16 new menu items, including a caramelised biscuit latte and its iced counterpart.
Other new options include a chicken, sweetcorn and red onion pizza, as well as a red pepper, feta and spinach bake. For those with a sweet tooth, Greggs now offers a lemon meringue muffin and a fat-free Greek-style yoghurt with strawberry compote.
The company announced its summer menu on Instagram, saying: "Babe wake up, Greggs summer menu just dropped!! Available now."
In a statement, Greggs elaborated: "Brighter mornings and warmer evenings aren't the only thing to look forward to. Now, your Greggs trips are getting a face lift with even more delicious goodies hitting our shelves for a moment in the sun.
"From a new veggie-friendly bake to a zesty muffin topped with meringue pieces – it's time to start summer early with a fresh menu full of flavour."
It added: "Because let's be honest, the only way to fill this gap between seasons is with shelves stacked with snacks to make you salivate. It's always: 'summer soundtrack' this and 'summer wardrobe' that. But why aren't we talking about the fact that sunnier days are incomplete without delicious food."

After Greggs revealed its summer menu on Instagram, several food enthusiasts quickly pointed out the absence of vegan options. One user remarked: "You could have made that spinach one vegan so easily and it would have slapped."
Another added their voice to the conversation, saying: "And what about your vegan queens?", while a third chimed in with: "Vegans love a seasonal special too."
A fourth customer commented: "Loving all the vegan comments! Greggs what happened to you clearly – it's in demand."
One particularly disgruntled person expressed their frustration: "No vegan options and no plant-based milk. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined."
Meanwhile, another pleaded: "Greggs please, my vegan sausage rolls and stake bakes need another bestie. Seriously though, how hard would some plant-based milk and a new vegan option or two be?"
Yet another user lamented the reduced variety for vegans: "Literally used to have the best vegan range now there's literally just the vegan sausage roll. You had so many options for us built up a whole clientele around it and then just stopped catering to them any more.
"It's clearly evident by these comments that they're feeling the loss. Poor business model if you think about it."
On the standard Greggs menu, vegan items include the vegan sausage roll, southern fries potato wedges, glazed ring doughnuts, vegan sausage breakfast roll, and sweet potato bhaji and rice.

Later on in the evening Orlando was seen getting cosy with a mystery woman, as the celebrations continued on into the night. It's not known who she is, but the pair looked like they were getting on famously. At one point, Orlando was seen putting his arm around her, as they chatted intently. As well as the the Lord of the Rings star, their guest list includes the Kardashian-Jenner clan, celebs such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Ivanka Trump, Oprah Winfrey and Usher. 'She knew that taking off her engagement ring would send a clear message. 'It's been a hard year so far. They wanted to wait until the tour is over before they made their split official, although Katy has grown tired of the situation.' Katy won't be part of the wedding celebrations - despite cutting a striking figure in a see-through top at Lauren's Hen - as she is on tour. The couple started dating in 2016 and got engaged three years later. Futuristic dining spot Zenon Dubai gets a new menu this summer
Tucked inside Kempinski Central Avenue, Zenon Dubai is far from your typical dinner spot. Sure, it's a looker, and yes, it's got flair, but you don't go here for normal. You go here for the extraordinary. The striking interior – inspired by Greek mythology – makes the spot stand out in Dubai's crowded fine dining scene, while the anamorphic screens and laser lighting give the space a futuristic, otherworldly feel. Prefer to dine outside? The terrace offers a temperature-controlled setting that's perfect for relaxed evenings. With stunning interiors and a Mediterranean-meets-Asian menu, this is the perfect spot when you're trying to impress someone special. Meet the chefs Helmed by the talented trio, chef Lorenzo Buccarini, chef Thomas Papas and chef Tatsuya Ueda, the kitchen is where tradition meets modern. Chef Lorenzo, a La Petite Maison graduate trained in Italy, brings a wealth of experience from Bali, the Bahamas and Dubai to the table, infusing each dish with seasonal Italian charm. Chef Thomas, meanwhile, cooks straight from the soul, with Greek roots that run deep and a passion for produce that goes all the way back to picking tomatoes with his grandfather. Chef Tatsuya Ueda, a dedicated sushi chef at Zenon, embodies a futuristic and forward-looking ethos with every dish. Between them, they've racked up accolades from Gault&Millau and Gambero Rosso, and it shows. Explore the new menu This is where things get interesting. The new menu additions bring together refined techniques with big, bold flavours. The beef tataki is glorious. A thinly sliced beef striploin that's lightly seared and served with daikon, ponzu, red onions and a spicy citrus soy sauce. There's the shrimp saganaki drenched in a rich tomato base layered between langoustine bisque and bubbling feta, and the wagyu beef skewers that marry soy, mirin and miso with a crunchy hit of spicy tempura flakes. Don't sleep on the maccheroncini al pesto. It might sound familiar, but the garlic-chilli breadcrumb crumble gives it a cheeky twist. Prefer something chilled to start? The seabass ceviche dressed in passion fruit leche de tigre is a zesty number that balances citrus, spice and crunch in all the right places. Don't miss the ebi miso yaki, a tiger prawn grilled just right, brushed with miso mayo, and finished with a flicker of togarashi spice. Bold, punchy and rather good with a glass of something chilled. For dessert, the Aphrodite cheesecake keeps things sweet. This modern cheesecake comes wrapped in a lovely phyllo dough and is served with pistachio-yogurt parfait and honey. Or you could tuck into the Guanaja chocolate fondant masterpiece, created with camel milk ice cream and traditional sabayon with Marsala ice cream. Next time you're in the mood for something a little different, where Greek mythology meets global ingredients, you know where to book. Open daily noon-3am. Kempinski Central Avenue, @zenondubai

Brad Pitt doesn't hold back with comments about Lewis Hamilton before F1 movie
Brad Pitt doesn't hold back with comments about Lewis Hamilton before F1 movie Brad Pitt and Lewis Hamilton have collaborated on the upcoming 'F1' movie, which is set to be released on Friday, and the Hollywood icon was full of praise for the seven-time world champion Brad Pitt had only kind words to say about Lewis Hamilton at the world premiere of the 'F1' movie (Image: Variety via Getty Images ) Brad Pitt expressed his deep admiration for Lewis Hamilton, calling him a "gem of a human being" at the world premiere of their new 'F1' movie. The duo worked closely on the film, which is set to make its international debut on Friday. Produced in collaboration with the FIA, Formula One's governing body, the movie has Hamilton credited as a producer, with his input hailed as "invaluable" by both the Hollywood star and director Joseph Kosinski. At the New York City world premiere last week, Pitt and Hamilton shared the spotlight on the red carpet, where the Fight Club actor acknowledged that the Brit's involvement was pivotal for the film's production. Pitt, 61, praised the Ferrari driver's warm nature and insight into the sport, attributing Hamilton's near two-decade-long success in top-tier racing to more than just talent. "When Lewis came on, then it was a go. And it was a simple phone call for me," Pitt said. "I remember we sat down that first time - and that's less about racing and more about just sitting with a gem of a human being. There's a reason... champions are made, I think, beyond just talent," reports the Mirror. "It's also how they carry themselves and how they face the world. And he is just a gem and a gent. Really, really. And then you come to what the expertise is that he has brought to this thing. We'd just sit and just query and throw questions at him - 'What about this?' - and he really helped shape us, shape this film." Pitt was also seen at the film's Leicester Square premiere earlier this week, where he was joined by fellow acting icon Tom Cruise as he elaborated on how crucial Hamilton has been throughout the production process. "Lewis Hamilton is our producer, and his knowledge has been so immensely helpful," he declared to Sky Sports. "He's been keeping us straight going, 'No, no, no, that doesn't fly. It needs to go this way.' And his knowledge, it's so incredible. Lewis Hamilton was signed onto the film before Brad Pitt (Image: (Image: Getty) ) "Like right down to the sound, he can actually pick out and go, 'No, no, That's turn 12. That's not turn 16. You need more reverb on the straight here, you hear this massive reverb into one.' Like he's that specific. It's incredible." Article continues below Pitt highlighted the importance of the 105-time Grand Prix winner's involvement by revealing that he came onboard after the British racing driver. "Joe [Kosinski] went and got Lewis before he got me," he shared. "He said, 'If I can have that kind of backing and that kind of support, then I think we can get to what I know I can do with the cameras and the car.'"
