Texas A&M head coach Bucky McMillan learns schedule for his first season coaching in SEC
Heading into his first season coaching in the Southeastern Conference, Texas A&M men's basketball coach Bucky McMillan found out his squad's fate with the announcement of the league slate on Wednesday.
The Aggies will host nine conference games at Reed Arena during the 2025-2026 season, seven of which advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season. That home schedule also includes the defending national champion Florida Gators, who will travel to Bryan-College Station, Texas, to face the Maroon and White for the first time since the 2023-2024 season.
Texas A&M will face Oklahoma, LSU, and Texas as its home and away opponents this season, while traveling to Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Mississippi State, Missouri, and South Carolina for its road contests in 2025-26.
McMillan has done an incredible job working the transfer portal since arriving, including landing the likes of talented Indiana forward Mackenzie Mgbako and Creighton guard Pop Isaacs.
Having athletes with experience at the highest level throughout the roster will be key for the program, as the SEC continues to record historic success in college basketball. The conference won 88.9 percent (185-23) of its regular-season non-conference games in 2025, with a record 14 teams reaching postseason play.
With SEC play set to tip off on January 3, here is the full schedule for every men's basketball program in the conference this season:

Arkansas knocked out of College World Series in messy, heartbreaking fashion
Arkansas knocked out of College World Series in messy, heartbreaking fashion The Arkansas Razorbacks were a steamroller in college baseball this spring. The Louisiana State Tigers were one of just a few teams they'd been able to leave in their wake, beating their SEC rival three times in four opportunities. So when they met for a fifth time in the College World Series, it was equally likely we'd see fireworks or heartbreak. Unfortunately for the Razorbacks, they served up both. Arkansas battled back from an early deficit to take a 5-3 lead heading into the bottom of the ninth inning. A win would force a rubber match between conference foes in Omaha. A loss would send the Tigers to the College World Series final and the Razorbacks back to Fayetteville. After a strikeout, single and walk put the winning run at the plate with one out, a grounder to shortstop could have been a game-ending double play. Instead Wehiwa Aloy made the safe choice and opted to force out the lead runner at third. That brought up LSU catch Luis Hernandez. He lined a 1-0 pitch to left field, well-hit but within Razorback Charles Davalan's range. But a misstep upped the degree of difficulty. By virtue of two misplaced inches of a glove, the game was tied. Arkansas could have recovered from a double that could have easily been a game-saving catch. One more out would send the game to extra innings. Instead, well, game of inches. Jared Jones, who homered in the eighth inning to tie the game at three-all, lined a ball up the middle and just off the tip of second baseman Cam Koziel's glove. With that, Arkansas was done. This was a program that went 50-15 this season. The Razorbacks won 20 games against SEC competition, shredding some of the best baseball teams the NCAA had to offer. They only lost to one team once the NCAA Tournament began. Unfortunately, that one team was LSU. The Tigers were tailor made for the moment. Arkansas met the end of its season in one of the most college baseball ways possible -- via a brutally timed deflection off the tip of a glove.

Texas A&M Football Preview 2025: Aggies Season Prediction, Win Total Projection, Top Players
Texas A&M Aggies Key to the Season Let the offensive line take this isn't the best front five in college football, it won't be too far off. It's loaded with experience and NFL talent, and it should be able to take over games. A&M was great at controlling the clock, and Marcel Reed got plenty of time to cook - both will happen Aggies were 6-0 when running for over 170 yards, 2-5 when they didn't. They're about to bash away. Texas A&M Aggies Key Player TJ Searcy, EDGE Dayon Hayes. The Aggies not only have to replace a bulk of the pass rushers from last year, but they also need more production. Washington transfer Jordan Shaw can play corner, but he's a better fit as a freelancing safety who can go attack the is a 260-pound four-year producer for Rutgers, who made 164 tackles with 2.5 sacks and eight tackles for loss. Searcy has a world of upside after making 60 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and eight tackles for loss in two years at Florida. 2025 Texas A&M PreviewTexas A&M Offense BreakdownTexas A&M Defense Breakdown Texas A&M Aggies Top Transfer, Biggest Transfer Loss Top Transfer In: KC Concepcion, WR Aggies needed a star receiver, and they got the guy who might be the best in the portal. He can play anywhere, but he'll stick in the slot where he'll also be used as a runner. A monster at NC State with 18 total touchdowns in two years, he's a special Transfer Out: Conner Weigman, QB Reed is the starter, and the Aggies have a few nice backups, but it would've been wonderful to still have a 6-3, 220-pound passer with Weigman's skills still around. He'll be great for Houston now. Texas A&M Aggies Key Game at Texas, Nov. 29Once again, this wonderful rivalry game should matter one way or another in the SEC Championship A&M hasn't won this showdown since 2010 - of course, they stopped playing each other in 2011, and last year the Longhorns won 17-7.- 2025 Texas A&M Schedule Breakdown Texas A&M Aggies Top 10 Players 1. So it's not as simple as saying this is a four game season, but …At Notre Dame, at LSU, at Missouri, at Texas A&M wins three of those four, it's in the College Football Playoff. If it wins two of them, it'll be close, and it'll be a big disappointment if it wins just one. Taking care of home is a must, hosting Auburn, Florida, and South Carolina. If that's a clean sweep, everything else should be fine outside of those four road games - and a trip to Arkansas, too, by the team is good enough to be deep in the hunt for the SEC title and CFP going into November. If it stays healthy, this will be a huge step-forward season under Mike The Texas A&M Win Total At … 8Likely Wins: Mississippi State, Samford, Utah State, UTSA50/50 Games: at Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, at LSU, at Missouri, at Notre Dame, South Carolina, at TexasLikely Losses: No sure-thing projected losses 2025 Texas A&M PreviewTexas A&M Offense BreakdownTexas A&M Defense Breakdown © 2025 The Arena Group Holdings, Inc. Baltimore man sentenced for flying drone over M&T Bank Stadium during Ravens' playoff game
A Baltimore man was sentenced to a year of supervised probation, 100 hours of community service, and handed a $500 fine for illegally flying a drone over M&T Bank Stadium during the Ravens' playoff game on January 11, 2025. Alexis Perez Suarez, 43, pleaded guilty to knowingly and willfully violating national defense airspace. He accepted a plea deal, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Maryland. Drone tracked at M&T Bank Stadium Suarez flew the drone over M&T Bank during the Ravens' AFC Wild Card Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Federal restrictions ban drones over football stadiums during games. Before the game, the FBI warned that they would be monitoring the restricted airspace above the stadium for drones. "Public safety is a top priority, so we're committed to protecting our airways above mass gatherings," said Kelly Hayes, the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland. "Suarez knew that M&T Bank Stadium was under a temporary flight restriction, yet he flew his drone into the airspace anyway, which is unacceptable." Maryland State Police and FBI special agents tracked the drone's movement over the stadium and found it when it landed in Baltimore. Suarez had already left the scene, but officials tracked his whereabouts, court records show. Suarez told officials he bought the drone for recreation and also used it for work. According to court documents, the drone was not registered, and Saurez did not have the certifications needed to operate it. Court documents said Suarez flew the drone directly over M&T Bank Stadium about 400 feet or higher. He captured seven photos of the stadium during the game as thousands of people were below his flight path, according to police. "There is a zero-tolerance policy" According to the terms of Suarez's guilty plea, he admitted to knowing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) put a temporary flight restriction (TFR) in place for M&T Bank Stadium during the NFL playoff game, making it a "No Drone Zone." The restriction precluded flying any Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS), including a UAS under the Exception for Recreational Flyers. A TFR temporarily restricts certain aircraft, including an UAS, from operating within a three nautical mile radius of the stadium, according to law enforcement. "There is a zero-tolerance policy for operating Unmanned Aircraft Systems in No Drone Zones," Hayes said. "The U.S. Attorney's Office, along with our partners, will hold those accountable who ignore the rules and regulations surrounding restricted airspace." The Ravens' playoff game was temporarily suspended due to the "serious threat posed by the incursion of an unidentified and unapproved drone," court records said.
