Kuwaiti delegation examines tasks of UAE military service department
ABU DHABI, May 24 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti military delegation chaired by Major General Ahmad Al-Shanfa, head of the Kuwaiti National Military Service Department, visited on Saturday headquarters of the UAE National Service and Reserve Authority (NSRA).
Kuwait Army Chairmanship of Staff said in a statement that the Kuwaiti delegation met the UAE Armed Forces Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Ahmad bin Tahnoun al-Nahyan.
The delegation examined during the visit NSRA's programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing readiness of the UAE cadres in various military sectors.
The Kuwaiti officers were apprised of the mechanisms for habilitating the recruited as part of the national service and latest methods for training and upgrading the military cadres' skills.
The visitors had also went to NSRA centers to examine the various tasks that constitute some of the basics of the UAE defense system.
The statement indicated that the visit aimed at bolstering the bilateral relations and military cooperation, also noting in this respect the necessity to exchange expertise and enhance the joint defense cooperation between the two states' armed forces. (end) mkm.rk

He continued, 'There is a stark difference between someone who returns to their homeland with honor, with knowledge, a degree, or a prestigious award and one who returns in shame, having betrayed their country and attacked its people and leaders.' The minister also highlighted Kuwait's continued support and generosity toward its citizens and expats, expressing dismay at those who choose to overlook or disparage these efforts. 'Justice stands above all, and the arm of the law is long. Anyone who thought Kuwait was an easy target will discover, sooner or later, that Kuwait does not forget those who harm it,' he said. Reiterating his message, Sheikh Al-Yousef concluded with a warning to those who have strayed: 'You will return... but do not return with a black face.' Al-Musaileem, who fled Kuwait in 2015, has been sentenced to over 30 years in prison across six separate cases. Crown Prince concludes landmark visit to Japan
TOKYO, May 31: His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah departed early on Saturday the Japanese city of Osaka following an official visit. His Highness the Crown Prince was seen off at the airport by the Minister of Information, Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the State of Kuwait Ambassador to Japan Sami Al-Zamanan and the Japanese Ambassador to Kuwait Mukai Kenichiro. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al- Hamad Al-Sabah sent on Saturday a thank you message to the Japanese Emperor Naruhito. On Friday, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled, during his official visit to Japan, visited Expo 2025 Osaka.
