'I won the National Lottery - this is what I now do day to day'
A mum-of-four is hoping to turn her dream job into a reality after scooping £10,000 a month for a year on the National Lottery – but not before ticking off her ultimate shopping list.
Olivia Love, 36, did what we all say we would do in her shoes and quit her job at a local supermarket after hearing the life-changing news.
Since marrying last year, she has had her heart set on building a new career in wedding content creation.
Now, thanks to her win, she and her husband are busy making those fantasies come true.
The Glaswegian told Metro her reaction when she received the call telling her she had won on May 16.
'I just didn't believe it, I still don't believe it. I keep thinking this is a really vivid dream and at some point somebody is going to pinch me,' she said.
'It's hard to put into words how much this means to me.'
The life-changing sum of money means a lot to Olivia who has struggled with money in the past.
She earned £800-a-month before working in a supermarket's customer-service kiosk.
Olivia was also on Universal Credit to subsidise her £1,800-a-month childcare costs.
'I still feel a bit nauseous if I'm being honest about it especially when I think about how much money it is,' she said.
'I'm not used to having any money. I'm used to having literal pennies left in the bank. I feel less anxious because I don't have to worry about the bills.
'Suddenly having thousands blows my mind.'
Olivia and her husband went for some breakfast after dropping the kids off at his parents after they found out about the win.
They then went on a shopping spree.
'I was trying to convince Kevin to buy some clothes. All he really wanted was a new pair of jeans and a new car. They weren't even expensive jeans, just jeans from Next.
'He's not much of a spender, I'm definitely the spender in the family.
'I went into Victoria's Secret and spent a whopping £750. That was my Pretty Woman moment.'
Since the big win, Olivia's day-to-day life has changed as she gets more help around the house.
This includes a team of cleaners who helped declutter her home and somebody who cleared her garden.
She even has somebody who picks up her laundry and the next day brings it back all washed, dried and folded.
When Olivia worked in the kiosk, she came across people buying lottery tickets which inspired her to get involved.
But she admitted she did not play often and feels lucky to have won the money she has.
'Everybody is happy for us and nobody is asking for money which is nice.
'I haven't really come into contact with many people since the win. Over the years I've kept my social circle really small so I don't have any friends.
'We had a late miscarriage a couple of years ago. When I was in the midst of grief I just stopped talking to everyone.
'When I came out of that shadow there was nobody left. It is just me, my husband and the kids and that is the way we like it.'
Olivia has been speaking about her massive tax-free win on her TikTok account.
Some of her videos, which include how she found out, what happens if she dies and was it a lucky dip have more than 200,000 views each. More Trending
She now plans to set up a wedding content creation business.
Olivia has always wanted to pursue this career direction but was held back by her job and the income she relied on.
She had this advice for people who are considering entering the lottery but have their doubts.
'It is just a game of chance. You can win, you just have to be in it to win it.'

EuroMillions results: Biggest ever UK lottery prize still up for grabs after no winners
The jackpot on Tuesday will be an estimated £208 million and would be the largest prize the UK has seen, National Lottery operator Allwyn said. The UK's largest lottery prize remains unclaimed after no ticket-holders won Friday's EuroMillions draw. Come Tuesday, the jackpot is set to soar to an estimated £208 million, potentially setting a record for the biggest prize ever seen in the UK, according to National Lottery operator Allwyn. Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at Allwyn, commented: "Tuesday sees the £208 million EuroMillions jackpot still up for grabs. "A win of this magnitude would create the biggest National Lottery winner this country has ever seen – making a single UK winner instantly richer than the likes of Dua Lipa and Harry Kane while also landing them at the number one spot on the National Lottery's biggest wins list. "The EuroMillions jackpot is now capped, so any money that would have gone into increasing the jackpot now boosts prizes in the next winning prize tier, meaning that we could see multiple UK players banking huge prizes for matching just the five main numbers and one Lucky Star." The winning numbers for the main EuroMillions draw were 20, 21, 29, 30, 35 with Lucky Stars 02 and 12. One fortunate UK participant did become a millionaire by matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star, securing a £2.02 million prize. However, the £500,000 Thunderball jackpot went unclaimed as no players matched the five Thunderball numbers 03, 14, 31, 32, 34, and the Thunderball number 06. An anonymous UK ticket holder won the existing record jackpot of £195 million on July 19 2022. Just two months earlier, Joe and Jess Thwaite, from Gloucester, bagged £184,262,899 with a Lucky Dip ticket for the draw on May 10. The UK's third biggest win came after an anonymous ticket-holder scooped the £177 million jackpot on November 26 last year. It came after 11 millionaires were made on the National Lottery draw in just one week in 2024. One lucky Brit won a cool £33million with their Euromillions ticket. Another ticket, which was snagged in the UK, matched all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars. It came just weeks after two players from the same county scooped £1m each. EuroMillions jackpot winner Frances Connolly reveals surprising first item she bought with £114m jackpot This year, the largest win was seen in January with £83million. A previous EuroMillions lottery winner, who scooped an eye-watering £107million jackpot, has revealed why he went public with the news. Neil Trotter bagged the whopping prize money and was faced with a huge decision whether or not to remain anonymous. The 45-year-old chose to splash the cash and filled his driveway with a Jaguar and a Porsche - before upgrading their parking spaces to a luxury mansion. But, Neil explained it can be tricky to go public because of pressure to provide people with money. However, he was overjoyed to buy his sister a house, and help out family and friends privately. He told the BBC: "It was quite tricky but I don't really see that there's any option [other] than to go public. "If you want to live the dream - which is have the house, the money and spend it, you've got to go public. "People have said in the past they would hide the money, I think £170million is going to be impossible to hide. "This is the lake that I bought and the big house and I'm living my dream." But he did previously admit he has been hounded by people making up claims to snap up his cash. He said: "I have had loads of people contact me on Facebook, I've probably got about four million kids in this country. "Everyone wants a bit of money." Elsewhere, a lucky couple thought they'd only bagged £2.60 on the lottery - but soon discovered they had scooped the £61million jackpot. Richard and Debbie Nuttall, both 54, from Colne, Lancashire, took home the life-changing sum in the EuroMillions draw. The couple were enjoying a holiday in Fuerteventura, celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary, when they discovered the big win. Richard revealed they originally thought they had won £2.60, but then received another email telling the pair to check their account. 'I thought it was odd and there must be a glitch in the system to get a duplicate email but I logged in again to my National Lottery account to check," he explained. "We were totally stunned, it said we had won over £61million," said the winner.
