Beauty fans 'blown away' by £10 tanning drops they brand 'little bottle of magic'

Daily Record09-05-2025

One beauty fan says they have been "repeatedly asked" if they have been away on holiday.
Looking to get a natural, healthy looking glow for summer? Luckily, a good bottle of tanning drops can provide that holiday-like look without stepping off a plane.
While there are multiple different brands to choose from, beauty fans say they have been "blown away" by the Garnier Ambre Solaire Natural Bronzer Self Tan Face Drops - and they cost under £11 a bottle.
Online giant Amazon is currently running a 33 per cent discount on a 30ml bottle that has been reduced from £16.00 to just £10.67. Considering they are still £16 at Superdrug and Lookfantastic, it's a deal worth bagging ahead of summer.
Ideal for those who don't want to go through the hassle of using a tanning mitt to prevent patchiness or orange-tones, these "lightweight" drops can be easily mixed into your favourite moisturiser for a flawless glow.
Since the drops offer a "buildable" bronzed look, many reviews have suggested that one of the positives is the ability to "control" the depth of their tan, unlike other products that deliver just one specific shade.

Product Description
Enriched with skin-loving ingredients hyaluronic acid and coconut water, these Garnier drops also work to keep your skin "intensely moisturised" day by day.
They aren't the only beloved tanning drops on the high street, as Drunk Elephant's £35 D-Bronzi Anti Pollution Sunshine Drops (30ml) remain a cult-favourite among beauty fans who have praised them as "sunshine in a bottle."
However, considering the above brand is a little bit on the pricier side, there are other options with a similar price-tag to Garnier's bottle. For example, the Skinny Tan Notox Face Tanning Drops are priced at just over £12 at Boots for a 30ml bottle.
Of course, with the reputation Garnier's Natural Bronzer Face Drops have earned, it's no surprise they have 4.2 rating based on over 2,000 reviews on Amazon alone, as shoppers call them a "little bottle of magic" for a "natural sun-kissed glow."

One purchaser said: "Blown away! I'm not a phaffer. I generally don't bother with things like tan and bronzer. But this little bottle of magic changed all that! I love it! I pop it on with my moisturiser and a couple of hours later I am actually glowing!
"I've been asked repeatedly if I've been on holiday, lost weight, got a new person, had a facelift or found a genie in a bottle. I'm so scared of running out I've stocked up!!"
Another enthusiastic shopper said: "Glow in a bottle. Always stayed away from self tanning products but this is amazing and a small bit mixed in moisturiser goes a long way."
Beauty deal of the week
Looking to incorporate peptides into your skincare routine? Then we know the essential first step.
It's Boots' brand new No7 Future Renew Peptides Cleanser - and it can be bought for £10 less. Worth £24.95 for a 150ml bottle, shoppers can use the code REVERSE10 to reduce the price to under £15.
Using No7's Pepticology, it boasts a "purifying" formula that can remove daily build-up of environmental pollutants, makeup, excess oil and other impurities, all while making sure your skin is not stripped of its moisture.
It also boasts other powerhouse ingredients such as vitamin C and niacinamide that work together to help your skin feel, not just fully clean, but also nourished, visibly renewed and brighter.
However, if you're keen on No7's latest addition, then the Peptide Cleanser has already amassed a 4.5 and 90 percent approval rating from Boots shoppers who have hailed it as "creamy" and "the cleanser of dreams".
One beauty fan praised: "Absolutely loved the formula of this product. It's creamy texture removed all make up leaving my skin feeling silky soft and glowing. The results were visible in days and I've had so many compliments. I love this product so much."
While someone else added: "This is the cleanser of my dreams. Absolute perfection. It has a thick creamy texture that just glides over the skin. It removed all my makeup including waterproof mascara and it didn't leave my skin feeling stripped of all moisture.
"I couldn't detect any fragrance which I loved. My skin felt soft and nicely hydrated after using it. I will be buying this again and again once I use this one up."
Get £10 off the new No7 Future Renew Peptide Cleanser (150ml) by using the REVERSE10 when shopping online here.
Not everyone is impressed with the buildable formula, as one two-star review read: "I've been using this for a month, little change in skin colour. Have tried using more each day for the last week, sadly no colour change at all.
"Will go back to my favourite tan luxe drops. I guess, buy cheap, buy twice. Shame."
Nevertheless, another glowing review read: "I've been a 'Tanner' for years, but this gives you such a natural, sun-kissed glow. The fact you can choose how much of a glow you want is brilliant. Such amazing value for money. Will be re-ordering again for sure."

Michelle Keegan joins Padel trend with powerful racket that is 'ideal for women'

Michelle Keegan has joined a long line of celebrities becoming obsessed with the trending sport, Padel - and you can shop her exact racket that's been touted as 'ideal' for female players David Beckham, Serena Williams, Andy Murray, and Eva Longoria are just a few names of celebrities who have become addicted to this new sport, Padel, which has taken Britain by storm. And Michelle Keegan has just joined the club after spending the weekend getting stuck in with her vibrant Babolat racket. And if you're considering dipping your toe into the world of Padel, you can buy Michelle's exact Padel accessory on Amazon. As seen in her social media posts, Michelle was using this Babolat Counter Vertuo Padel Racket, which features a vibrant yellow and green motif that's sure to turn heads on the court just as much as the game. Retailing for £96.49, this racket is a light and manageable padel racket for players, designed to suit counter-attacking techniques. Made from soft materials that promise comfortable and easily controllable shots, this racket has a low balance and a hybrid shape that makes it a great choice for beginners to intermediate players, like Michelle. The elastic, soft and flexible materials cushion sudden blows and bounce the ball with quality in receptions with less speed. Boasting a comfortable and pleasant hit with good outlets, this racket makes it easier to counterattack your opponent with materials that allow you not to have to put all your strength into each hit. This racket's frame is made of carbon, and the sides are fibreglass. At its core is Black EVA rubber, which weighs 350 grams, ensuring it is light and easier to control, meaning it better tolerates the blows you receive from your opponent. The racket works with precision on every shot. Michelle's racket is also customizable, as you can easily remove the cuff strap to wash or change, or put another colour and design on instead. Each padel racket has a specific die design to get the most out of the racket by improving its weight, allowing for power and spin on every shot. The bridge also has a combination of carbon and elastomer to be resistant and better absorb vibrations, and provide better sensations during the game. One shopper who picked up Michelle's racket says: "The palette has a lot of control, but at the same time the power is good, very easy to adapt, and the weight is ideal for women." And another writes: "It comes alone, without any additional box, but I suppose that's the least of it. The blade is controlled, but it also feels powerful. I really liked it a lot. I fully recommend it." You can shop the same racket from Amazon for £96.49 or from Padel Nuestro for €89.95. For a similar racket from the same brand, this Babolat Reveal 53 racket is up for grabs at Sports Direct for £60, down from £74.99.

'Comfy' Skechers sandals are 'perfect for walking' and don't need breaking in

"These are fantastic sandals! I expected no less from Skechers to be honest." For those who are heading on their summer holidays or are planning to make the most of the warmer weather by getting outside, it is important to have some comfortable footwear that won't cause unnecessary aches and pains to your feet. Currently, Amazon shoppers are raving over a set of Skechers sandals that come in a range of sizes. With shoppers saying they don't require breaking in and were able to last full days of walking abroad, these may become an essential purchase for this summer. The Skechers Women's Reggae Slim Sunnyside Sandals normally retail for £54, but shoppers can currently snap them up for £46.99. Featuring stretchy straps to create a trendy slingback style, these sandals are both stylish and practical, reports My London. Along with a shock-absorbing midsole for extra support, the sandals also feature a flexible traction outsole to make them equipped for long days of walking. For added comfort, the footbed is also cushioned with a memory foam and the back strap also features cushioning so shoppers won't have to worry after the shoe rubbing uncomfortably into their heel. Skechers Women's Reggae Slim Sunnyside Sandals Product Description The sandals can also be bought elsewhere but at slightly higher prices. Skechers are selling the shoes for £55, while JD Williams is selling them for £50. Alternatively, shoppers can buy the Mountain Warehouse Andros Womens Sandals from Amazon. Normally retailing for £24.99, shoppers can now grab them in a limited time deal for £19.99. With touch strap fastenings, these sandals are easy to use and secure. Over on ASOS, shoppers can now grab the Teva Universal Original sandals for the reduced price of £40 (RRP £50). Featuring different tones of mocha brown, these sandals come with adjustable straps and a durable rubber outsole. Shoppers can currently get an extra 20 per cent off the shoes by using the code EXTRA at checkout. Back to the Skechers sandals, happy shoppers have awarded the shoes an impressive 4.7 star rating. Many reviewers were impressed by the durability of the shoes, as well as their ability to provide comfort without needing to be broken in. One delighted shopper said: "These are fantastic sandals! I expected no less from Skechers to be honest, I have trainers, boots, and slippers too! These are just so comfortable and no breaking in required. No aching feet. Highly recommend!" With another five-star reviewer adding: "I have bad knees and I have really noticed the difference since walking in these lightweight sandles with comfy memory foam inner soles and shaped arch - highly recommend these." Fashion deal of the week Calling all fashion fans, as we have found the dress to compliment a golden, sun-kissed tan this summer. It's Roman's White Lace Bodice Shirred Midi Dress, and it looks perfect for any tropical getaways or beach holidays. Costing £38, it boasts a strap-style design, with a chic crochet overlay bodice and a flowing midi-length skirt. It's finished with a simple round neckline that can be easily layered with statement necklaces for those days it is being worn to fancier events, or for going out to dinner. While the white colourway is ideal for highlighting a summer tan, it is worth noting that shoppers can also purchase the midi frock in both pink and black, with sizes all of them being available in sizes 10 to 20. The strappy maxi dress has been the subject of glowing praise, as it has garnered a stellar five star rating from shoppers who say it "looks lovely with a suntan" and is "stunning" to wear. One delighted shopper said: "It's very flattering and looks lovely with a suntan." Get holiday ready by purchasing Roman's White Lace Bodice Shirred Midi Dress for £38 now. However, one shopper complained about the fit, writing: "Skechers usually fit me, but these were simply to big, nothing wrong with the quality." Despite this, another happy customer added: "Bought these sandals for slightly smarter occasions as they are not too chunky. Slip on and with a little wiggling of toes through the straps they fit and support well. Fit true to size." With a fifth shopper writing: "Bought these for a 4 week holiday in Asia. So comfortable, I needed something fairly sturdy as the paths are uneven and I was planning on a lot of walking. They were perfect, have made it home in one piece and no blisters or sore feet!" If you've spent the last few weeks tossing and turning through the night, it means it might be time to switch out that winter duvet. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 It can be difficult to sleep in hot weather conditions 2 Lidl is selling the Livarno Home Double TopCool® Duvet for £10.99 Credit: Lidl Luckily, Lidl has just the thing to help you keep your cool. The Livarno Home Double TopCool Duvet has landed in Lidl stores just in time for the heatwave, and it's a total game-changer for sweaty summer nights. Designed to keep you cool and comfy, the ultra-light duvet features a micro-fine cover that cleverly regulates moisture and body temperature. It's ideal for double beds, with a soft and fluffy polyester filling that still feels cosy without the stifling heat. It's also machine washable at 60°C and perfect for spring and summer snoozing. And best of all, unlike noisy fans or pricey air cons, it costs nothing to run. The duvet retails for £10.99 and is only available in Lidl stores. Stock may vary depending on your local branch so it's worth giving them a quick call before making the trip. Price check The £10.99 price tag makes it one of the cheapest cooling duvets on the market right now. On Amazon, a similar 'Cooling Blanket for Night Sweats' also costs £10.99 – but there's a catch. Stop Making This Air Conditioning Mistake: How to Slash Your Summer Energy Bill Delivery will set you back another £6.99, bringing the total to £17.98. John Lewis is selling a Snuggledown Cooling Blanket and Pillowcase set for £18, but again – that's online only, and more expensive. The Fogarty Temperature Regulating Wool All Seasons Duvet, now £56 , down from £70, is ideal for keeping cool during muggy nights. However, it is much more expensive than Lidl's offer. It's always worth comparing prices across stores to make sure you're getting the best value for money. How to compare prices to get the best deal JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal. There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you - so don't be left paying more than you have to. Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers. Here are some that we recommend: Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results. Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock. Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one. CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of. More ways to beat the heat Lidl's duvet isn't the only sizzling summer bargain doing the rounds. Home Bargains is currently selling a Pifco Cordless Neck Fan for just £4.99 – a total steal compared to pricier versions at John Lewis and Dunelm. The fan has been flying off shelves, with one model, the Pifco Hands Free Wearable Fan, already sold out online in both black and white. Parents are loving the Pure Baby Clip-On Stroller Fan, available for £3.49, while Pifco Mini Handheld Fans are going for just 99p. And if you're looking to stock up, you can grab a three-pack of Water Mist Spray Fans for £5.97. Heatwave essentials As the UK braces for temperatures up to 33°C, shoppers are scrambling for ways to stay cool without breaking the bank. Over at B&Q, a fan costing under £50 is getting rave reviews from customers who say it's 'so quiet you can barely hear it' – perfect for light sleepers. Meanwhile, Dunelm is selling a colourful Mini Handheld Fan for just £1.50, and has slashed 20% off its temperature-regulating duvets. With the heat ramping up and cooling products flying off shelves, now's the time to grab a bargain before they're all gone. If you're trying to work out which is the best hand held fan to buy ahead of the anticipated UK heatwave, we've reviewed the products from a range of high street retailers to find our favourite.
