Paris Saint-Germain are on the brink of making history as they prepare to face Inter Milan in the Champions League final this Saturday.
Despite their domestic dominance, Les Parisiens have yet to clinch the coveted European Cup. Their closest attempt was in 2020 when they suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich, with Kingsley Coman's 59th-minute goal proving decisive.
Now, under the stewardship of Luis Enrique, many football enthusiasts are hopeful that the star-studded French giants can finally secure victory at the Allianz Arena. PSG's journey to the final has been far from smooth, finishing 15th in the Champions League league phase before facing Ligue 1 rivals Brest in the play-offs for a spot in the last 16.
Over the course of two legs, PSG achieved an aggregate score of 7-0, then triumphed over Premier League champions Liverpool on penalties, Aston Villa in the quarter-finals, and Arsenal in the semis. Enrique, who savoured UCL success with Barcelona in 2014/15, is keen to add another European title to his CV, but must first overcome a formidable Inter Milan side.
Inter, no stranger to Champions League glory, already have three titles under their belt. They clinched back-to-back victories in 1964 and 1965 against Real Madrid and Benfica respectively, and their most recent triumph was a 2-0 victory over Bayern in 2010, reports the Mirror.
After narrowly missing out on the Serie A title to Napoli by just one point this season, I Nerazzurri are keen to secure some form of silverware for their efforts in the 2024/25 season. Having finished fourth in the Champions League standings, Inter didn't have to contend with a play-off tie to reach the knockout stages, meaning they've played two fewer games than PSG in the competition.
Instead, they defeated Feyenoord in the last 16, ousted Bayern in the quarter-finals and secured a 7-6 aggregate win over Barcelona in the semis to book their place in the final. With an exhilarating evening of football on the horizon, Wales Online provides a guide on how fans can tune in without spending a penny...

Paris St Germain victory parade in Paris to go ahead despite clashes with police
A total of 491 arrests were made in Paris and one fatality recorded after trouble in France's capital city centre following the historic 5-0 thrashing of Inter Milan in Munich. During a press conference on Sunday, Paris Police chief Laurent Nunez revealed 192 civilians were injured in addition to nine police officers suffering 'light injuries', whilst the death of a 24-year-old man following a collision with a car is being investigated. 'We are not sure yet whether it is linked to celebrations last night, but an investigation is open, Nunez said. 'This is just half time for us because the PSG players are coming to Paris. We have important work this afternoon. 'We have a cap on the amount of people that can come in. There are 100,000 people that can come in. After that, we can't bring any more people in. 'There will be a celebration around the Parc des Princes as well and the players will be at the Parc des Princes to meet their fans. 'There again we are expecting some clashes, some scuffles and we will be there and we will be very strong in our response against the vandals, against the thieves who have a go at the police officers. 'We will not tolerate any abuse today and the fans who want to enjoy the parade, can do so safely.' — Bruno Retailleau (@BrunoRetailleau) May 31, 2025 Paris Saint-Germain released a statement condemning 'in the strongest possible terms the violence that occured during the celebrations'. It said the 'isolated acts' were 'contrary to the club's values and in no way represent the vast majority of our supporters' and urged all involved in the post-final celebrations to 'demonstrate responsibility and respect so that this historic victory remains a moment of pride shared by all.' The French interior ministry said 559 arrests were made across France during celebrations after Paris Saint Germain's win, whilst a 17-year-old is reported to have died following a stabbing in Dax. 'The true PSG supporters are getting excited watching their team's magnificent match. Meanwhile, barbarians have taken to the streets of Paris to commit crimes and provoke law enforcement,' French interior minister Bruno Retailleau wrote on X. 'I have asked the internal security forces to respond with vigor to these offences. 'I offer my support to the Police Prefect and all the police officers who are ensuring everyone's safety. It is unacceptable that it is not possible to celebrate without fearing the savagery of a minority of thugs who respect nothing.'
