Three teens charged after guns found in stolen car, Knoxville police say
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Police Department took three teenagers into custody Sunday on auto theft and weapons charges.
Just before 6 p.m., a man told police that he had found a stolen KIA Optima belonging to his father by the Walmart on Kinzel Way, KPD said. Officers went to the location where the witness described the occupants of the vehicle.

Police captured one of the suspects, a 16-year-old boy, near the Walmart entrance after he attempted to run from them, KPD wrote. The officers also found two other suspects, 17 and 19, inside the store. The oldest suspect ran out of the store and across the parking lot before officers caught up to him at a gas station, police say. He and the 16-year-old face charges of evading arrest as well.
Inside the car police found two loaded handguns and a drum magazine with .40 caliber rounds.

Crash leaves man seriously injured near Harvard, Illinois
A man was seriously injured in a crash near Harvard, Illinois, northwest of Chicago Sunday afternoon. At 2:37 p.m., the Harvard Fire Protection District was called to Route 173 and Crowley Road in unincorporated Harvard for a crash with entrapment. Harvard Fire Protection District A sport-utility vehicle collided with a semi-trailer truck from Walmart, and the man driving the SUV was pinned inside. First responders found the SUV in the crash had left the roadway and had come to rest in a wooded area, the fire protection district said. Target recalling over 40 cucumber products as salmonella outbreak spreads to 18 states: Update

Target initially announced a recall of cucumbers and items containing the cucumbers on May 19, though Target specifically was mentioned in the FDA update on May 30. Compared with other companies that have recalled just one cucumber product, like Walmart, Target's recall list contains over 40 different products purchased between May 7 and May 21. Two of them are regular cucumbers, two are chicken salad products, and a whopping 38 of the recalled products are a sushi variety. The outbreak has resulted in 16 hospitalizations but no deaths. This recall comes in the wake of a particularly terrible year for Target, as the megacorporation faces boycotts from consumers and tariffs set by the Trump administration. Target's stock plunged 40% over the last year, and operating income was down 38% last year from its 2021 high. Furthermore, this isn't the first cucumber recall Target customers have weathered. The FDA also announced another cucumber recall in November 2024 due to an investigation of a salmonella outbreak. These cucumbers were linked to a farm in Mexico and were distributed by SunFed Produce, which initiated a voluntary recall. Target sent out automated warning calls to buyers in December, weeks after many customers had originally bought the cucumbers.
