It wasn't the most pleasant experience for she was always on her feet, and sometimes dealt with irritating customers, including one drunk chauvinist who staggered into the restaurant along with his equally inebriated friends.
'Isn't this place a wee bit sexist?' he slurred.
A confused Victoria admitted she didn't understand the question.
'Well, it's called Wagamama, innit?' continued the sloshed customer. 'How come it's no Wagapapa?'
Games people play
The son of Andrew Shaw hopes to be accepted for university later this year.
In anticipation of this momentous event Andrew bought the teenager his very first laptop, intended for the writing of essays and academic research.
Perhaps the youth didn't accept the gift with this inspiring notion, for with a delighted squeal, he said: 'Great! I can't wait to start downloading games onto this baby…'
Cop that
Most police officers are of the firm conviction that their job would be much easier if there weren't so many civilians allowed on the streets.
Putting the entire nation under lock and key, with the key then tossed in the Clyde, is surely the only civilised solution.
Jim Lynch recalls his days on a Glasgow beat, and once spotting a suspicious looking fellow who had obviously recently found shelter and sustenance in the local boozer.
Jim politely inquired what this fellow's intentions were for the remainder of the evening, and was given the robust response: 'I ain't answering no questions, officer, on the grounds that I might inseminate myself.'
You're chucked
More boozy badinage.
Ian Barnett tells us he was at the pub for a family outing.
'One of my relatives had too much to drink and was expelled by the bouncer,' he adds. 'He climbed back in through a toilet window, only to be quickly chucked out again.
'That was my first cousin, twice removed.'
Ring for service
The Diary is celebrating those spiffy new tumble dryers that need to be connected to the house Wi-Fi in order to operate.
John Mulholland did some research and discovered that washing machines can also be connected to Wi-Fi.
'I suggest,' he adds, 'the appropriate music to play when the machine is on its 1400rpm spin program would be Wagner's Ring Cycle."
Foreign affairs
'Nothing is made in the UK any more,' harrumphs reader Kevin Rushton. 'I bought a telly and it says 'Built in Antenna', and I don't even know where that is.'

Posh puts on a brave face as she shares message with fans amid family feud

With Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz continuing to distance themselves from the close-knit family, cryptic social media posts have cemented concerns of a feud Singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham has put on a brave face in her latest Instagram video, but the mother-of-four looks like she's carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders amid her estrangement from son Brooklyn. Victoria, 51, has shared a clip of herself applying make up to promote her Victoria Beckham Beauty range. The Spice Girls star could be seen with a white towel wrapped around her hair, wearing a personalised silky robe while she talked into the camera. With dewy skin and her usual perfect make up, she described her new summer look to her 32.9 million followers, giving a tutorial on how to use her Satin Kajal Liner in Terracotta. ‌ Fashion icon Victoria admitted she "spent a lot of time obsessing" over the colours in her make up range, telling fans about how different her products are to other things on the market. But she seemed more downbeat than usual in the clip, with her concern over her son's relationship with his family likely to be laying heavy on her. ‌ The family's fall-out with eldest son Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, has caused speculation among fans that a feud has emerged. Various cryptic videos have been posted on both sides of the rift, while Brooklyn completely missed out on his dad David 's 50th birthday celebrations - making him the only member of the family not to attend. A recent interview with Glamour's German magazine saw Brooklyn and Nicola open up on their relationship and the pressures fame has put on them. When asked about how he protects his relationship in the spotlight, Brooklyn said: "Ignore the noise. Keep your head down, work hard, be kind. People are always going to talk. What matters is that we're happy together." Nicola added: "It's not always easy. On TikTok there are always random stories popping up about us. When I see fake news, my instinct is to shut it down. But it's not worth it. I just scroll past and move on." Nicola, who is the daughter of American billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz and former model Claudia Heffner Peltz, married Brooklyn, Victoria and David Beckham's eldest son, in 2022. The interview seemed to show Nicola and Brooklyn distancing themselves from his close-knit family. ‌ When a customer asked about his Cloud23 hot sauce brand's name, a member of his team explained: "The 23 included in our brand is a warm nod to Brooklyn's father, David Beckham, who wore number 23 while playing for Real Madrid and LA Galaxy, inspired by NBA legend Michael Jordan." But in Brooklyn's interview in April with Glamour, he offered up a new meaning: "The 23 stands for our engagement date and my age back then." Fresh images of Brooklyn also show that his tribute to Victoria, a tattoo reading: "Mama's boy," has been covered up. ‌ In an Instagram video shared in May, Brooklyn appeared to clearly pledge allegiance to Nicola. Showing him take his wife for an early morning motorbike ride, he wrote: "My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby." Less than a day after Brooklyn's pointed statement, his brother Cruz Beckham, 20 shared what seemed to be a response. He posted a clip of one of his mum Victoria's songs from her solo self-titled album, Every Part Of Me, writing simply: "Listen." The lyrics read: "I think you should know that people gonna come and go. Be assured of this one thing, I will still remain. I know that there will come a day when you have to go away. But you have no reason to fear, I promise I'll be here if someone ever breaks your heart. "And you feel your world is torn apart. My love for you will bring you through hard times. I'll help you be strong." The song poignantly ends: "I'll always love you so... You'll always be my baby."

He is our everything.' The couple stopped short of announcing their precious newborn's name or sharing photos of the little one. It comes after Anna shared a cute clip on Thursday, revealing that her son would be delivered by C-section. The video showed Anna and Michael beaming broadly and hugging close as the blonde beauty showed off her baby bump in a black sports bra. She then held her hand up to the camera and the scene then cut to the pair wearing hospital scrubs. Text on the clip revealed that their son arrived on the same day. 'We are meeting our son in 30 minutes,' the caption read. 'Who is he going to look like.' The post was met with a flurry of anticipation from friends and followers with Tammy Hembrow chiming in with: 'Ah how exciting.' Anna and Michael both shared a simple clip that revealed they were now proud parents to a baby boy Another follower offered: 'This makes me so emotional! Such a surreal feeling. Happy baby day.' A third summed up the sentiment of many with: 'Good luck guys, so excited for you. Watched your pregnancy journey from the beginning, so excited to meet the little guy.' Anna revealed in November last year that she and Michael were expecting. Clips saw the happy couple looking loved up as Anna flaunted her growing baby bump. The footage began with what appeared to be throwback footage of Anna and Michael as children, before it cut to Anna and Michael sitting in their car. 'The baby is ten weeks old and 3cms tall,' the podcast host said with a bright smile. Other clips in the montage also featured sneak peeks of the lovebirds attending doctor's appointments, including an ultrasound. In March, Anna revealed revealed the details of a shock health scare that sent her to hospital. Anna shared a video to Instagram while lying in a bed at Cairns Hospital and wrote: 'Our little guy was being a rebel and stopped moving in the last 48 hours. 'The midwife told us to go to Cairns Hospital for some monitoring. After an hour of monitoring they were happy with what they saw,' she continued. 'When we left, they said "I think you have a cheeky boy". We weren't surprised. 'Ironically, he started kicking and partying when we got back to Palm Cove. Officially in the third trimester!!' Anna and Michael were married at a glamorous ceremony in Greece in 2023. The couple opted to hold their ceremony in May at the upmarket Courti Estate, described as a 'Luxury Corfu Villa' with nine bedrooms for guests. The couple were pelted with petals after they said 'I do' as the bride carried a white rose bouquet. 'Our wedding day at The Courti Estate was magical,' Anna told the Herald Sun at the time.

Now a source tells The Mail's Alison Boshoff that Victoria will not be part of the virtual. line-up, adding: "Simon Fuller planning a tour has caused yet another schism. Victoria is f****d off that they have gone with him and there is no way that she will be a part of it. "The bad feeling seems to go back to her and David having to spend millions on buying him out of Beckham Brand Holdings. "He still has a stake and board seat on her fashion business. There is resentment there. "But Simon Fuller is the only person who could get Geri to rejoin the Spice Girls. "He is also the one person in the world who could never persuade Victoria." It follows a tricky time for Victoria and her family amid a rift with eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz. Her husband David celebrated his 50th last month with a string of parties, though Brooklyn stayed away. Brooklyn's siblings Romeo, Cruz and Harper all turned out to party with their dad, mum, and A-list names like Tom Cruise and Guy Ritchie. Meanwhile, the eldest Beckham child and his wife were nowhere to be seen.
