New Orleans Saints introduce Kellen Moore's 'anger translator' in 2025 schedule release
The New Orleans Saints' 2025 schedule is here, and with that, we got another rendition of their schedule release video, this time with an interesting twist. After ranking the past five years' worth of them, we now have another contender in the race as Kellen Moore and his "anger translator" Rob Kazi made their debut in front of New Orleans media. It's a fun take on a skit introduced by former President Barrack Obama and comedian Keegan-Michael Key at the 2015 White House Correspondents' Dinner.
When it comes to schedule release videos league-wide, this is not in the upper echelon of the NFL, especially considering the one the Los Angeles Chargers shared, which was (per usual) outstanding. While the Saints have had a few great ones, especially their 2022 "game night" rendition, this one is solid overall. It does a good job of incorporating some of the most notable personalities in Saints reporting, and is all-around funny to watch.
It felt like a unique take on the schedule release topic, and while it doesn't do any one thing exceptionally well, it was fun and to the point, which was good. The part that ties it together is the schedule, practically having nothing to do with the video whatsoever, aside from a small ticker on the bottom of the screen, which added to the overall fun of the video. Not bad, not outstanding, but just a good schedule release with some fun for the fans to keep things entertaining in an otherwise slow part of the offseason.

NFL Insider Gives Positive Update on Commanders Star's OTA Absence
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Often, the word "voluntary" gets lost in the minds of NFL fans when it comes to the OTA season. The Washington Commanders' situation with the star defensive back Marshon Lattimore has given fans a bit of a scare recently, as he remains away from the team at this stage of the offseason. While it's not a rare scenario for seasoned veterans to remain away from their team when attendance isn't mandatory, high-profile absences always tend to suggest that a lack of presence might be financially motivated. Is there a real cause for concern in this case? NFL Insider John Keim doesn't believe it's time to sound any alarms in Commander land. During a recent rundown of all things Commanders on the 'John Keim Report,' Lattimore's absence was acknowledged and discussed. Marshon Lattimore #23 of the Washington Commanders reacts during an NFL football wild card playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on January 12, 2025 in Tampa, Florida. Marshon Lattimore #23 of the Washington Commanders reacts during an NFL football wild card playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium on January 12, 2025 in Tampa, Florida."I don't think I'm worried just yet about Marshon Lattimore not being here, and I think a little bit too much is being made or worried about that," Keim stated. "I don't think this is about a contract. This is what he did his last couple of years in New Orleans, so I think this is a continuation of what he's done." The Commanders are going through their first offseason experience with Lattimore in the building. Last year, the NFL star was gearing up for another season with the New Orleans Saints at this point of the year. After Lattimore appeared in seven games for the Saints, he was included in a trade to the Commanders, which netted the Saints a 2025 third-round pick, a 2025 fourth-round pick, and a 2025 sixth-round pick. The Commanders also landed a 2025 fifth-round pick, along with Lattimore, last November. Lattimore played in just two regular-season games for the Commanders last year. Once he landed in Washington, he had to recover from a hamstring injury, which sidelined him for four weeks. During Washington's shocking run to the NFC Championship, Lattimore started all three games. He collected 15 tackles and broke up two passes before the Commanders were stopped short by the Philadelphia Eagles before the Super Bowl. Washington has high hopes for its midseason trade acquisition heading into a critical season. The 29-year-old is currently in the midst of a five-year deal he signed with the Saints. The veteran corner wouldn't hit free agency until 2027. So far, there hasn't been any indication that Lattimore is on the hunt for a new deal. June 10 will be a key date to watch, as the Commanders are expected to meet for mandatory minicamp.

It's past time for the Saints to honor the 'Dome Patrol' with Superdome statues
It's past time for the Saints to honor the 'Dome Patrol' with Superdome statues Hall of Fame linebacker Sam Mills would've turned 66 on Tuesday Legendary former New Orleans Saints linebacker Sam Mills would have turned 66 on Tuesday, June 3, and he's remembered fondly by many who knew him -- in two different NFL cities. After leading the great "Dome Patrol" defenses with the Saints, Mills took on a new challenge as a member of the expansion-era Carolina Panthers, first as a player and later as a coach. A life-size (5-foot-9) bronze statue in his likeness stands vigilant outside the Panthers' home stadium in Charlotte. It's well past time the Saints honor Mills and his teammates in that legendary four-man linebacker corps with a commemoration of their own. Two of them have already passed away. Mills died in 2005 and Vaughan Johnson passed in 2019, which left Rickey Jackson and Pat Swilling as the two surviving members. People should be given their flowers when they're still here to accept them and see how they're appreciated. Several statues already surround the Caesars Superdome. In 2014, a statue depicting the team's late owner Tom Benson hoisting the Lombardi Trophy began to overlook Champions Square. Since 2012, the famous "Rebirth" monument highlighting Steve Gleason's blocked punt in the first Saints home game after Hurricane Katrina can be found at the southwest corner of the plaza. The Superdome Vietnam Memorial has stood on the Poydras Street side since 1984. There's plenty of room for a space to honor the "Dome Patrol." Just look at what they accomplished together. All four linebackers were selected for the Pro Bowl in 1992, and to this day three of them rank in the top three solo tackles leaders for the Saints -- Jackson first (1,104), Mills second (894), and Johnson third (664), with Swilling, who played the fewest games in New Orleans of the bunch, ranking 14th (354). The group combined for 18 Pro Bowl nods and 12 spots on the All-Pro teams. They have all been inducted to the Saints Hall of Fame and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, too. Jackson was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010 with Mills joining him posthumously in 2022. Swilling has gained a lot of support as a senior candidate. They gave Saints fans something to cheer for when the team really, really needed it. We're in a similar spot today with a brutal playoff drought and organizational upheaval.
