
Hyundai i10 crosses 33 lakh sales milestone in 18 years across three generations. Check details
Currently in its 18th year, brand i10 has evolved across three generations - i10, Grand i10 and Grand i10 NIOS.
Earlier last year, the Grand i10 Nios, which was first introduced in 2019, surpassed the 4 lakh sales mark in the country
The Hyundai i10 brand has surpassed the 33 lakh sales mark since its debut in 2007. The carmaker noted that it has sold over 20 lakh units in India, and exported 13 lakh units to more than 140 countries. The top export markets for brand i10 include South Africa, Mexico, Chile and Peru.
Currently in its 18th year, brand i10 has evolved across three generations - i10, Grand i10 and Grand i10 NIOS, and presently comes with 3 powertrain options including 1.2 L Kappa Petrol Manual, 1.2 L Kappa Petrol AMT, and 1.2 L Bi-Fuel Kappa Petrol with CNG. HMIL has sold an average of over one lakh units of i10 annually in India.

HMIL introduced the brand i10 in India in 2007 with several attractive features including dual airbags, ABS and keyless entry. Over the years, the brand has consistently evolved as per the expectations and aspirations of Indian customers, setting benchmarks in its segment.
Earlier last year, the Grand i10 Nios, which was first introduced in 2019, surpassed the 4 lakh sales mark in the country. The price of the Grand i10 Nios starts at ₹ 5.92 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to ₹ 8.56 lakh (ex-showroom) and is offered across five variants- Era, Magna, Corporate, Sportz and Asta. Interestingly, the company noted that in its current form, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios represents the ideal first car for Indian families. In FY 24-25, over 45 per cent of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios customers were first time car buyers. This model is the preferred family choice, as over 83 per cent of Grand i10 Nios customers are married. The carmaker further noted that Gujarat, Maharashtra and Haryana stand as the top three markets for the Grand i10 Nios. Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, HMIL stated that the current generation of i10 has achieved up to 91.3 per cent localization for the domestic market, while it is 91.4 per cent for the export models. 'With our upcoming plant in Maharashtra, we intend to expand exports to emerging as well as developed markets, increasing the contribution of exports to overall sales and solidifying our commitment to Make in India, For the World," he added.

Hyundai's wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto adapter now available for Venue, i10 NIOS and other models
Hyundai has introduced a nifty new gadget for its car users that will allow for a more convenient and seamless connection between their mobile phones and the infotainment systems. Applicable to all models, including the Grand i10 Nios, Exter, Verna, Aura, Venue N Line, and Venue, this gadget will now offer wireless connectivity, enabling Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The new gadget is an adapter that costs about ₹ 3,800. It was first introduced for the Hyundai Alcazar and the manufacturer is now making it available for other models as well. With this latest development, all Hyundai models in India can now be equipped with wireless mobile phone connectivity. The new wired-to-wireless adapter is said to improve the convenience and ease of usage, whether navigating maps or streaming music. The wireless adapter allows users to access their mobile apps (as supported by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) directly through the vehicle's OEM-fitted infotainment system. Alongside the introduction of the wired-to-wireless adapter for the Grand i10 Nios, Exter, Verna, Aura, Venue N Line, and Venue, Hyundai had also updated the Verna lineup with new variants. The new Hyundai Verna SX+ is priced from ₹ 13.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the higher-spec iVT variant is priced at a premium to the manual, at ₹ 15.04 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant of the Hyundai Verna features a range of amenities, including a Bose 8-speaker system, leather seat upholstery, ventilated and heated front seats, front parking sensors, LED headlamps, and more modern conveniences. Previously, the carmaker had updated the Hyundai Alcazar lineup with a new variant. The Verna is available with either a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine or a 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit. The 1.5-litre NA petrol engine is available with a six-speed manual gearbox and IVT, producing 114 bhp peak power and 143.8 Nm of maximum torque.

Hyundai Motor India Targets 7–8% Growth in Exports for FY 2025-26, Eyes Role as Brand's Largest Export Hub Outside Korea
New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is eyeing a 7–8% growth in export volumes for the financial year 2025–26, as it marks 25 years of vehicle exports from India. The company has set its sights on becoming Hyundai's largest export hub outside of South Korea. Having begun its export operations in 1999 from Chennai Port, HMIL has shipped more than 3.7 million India-made vehicles globally, maintaining its position as the country's largest cumulative exporter of passenger vehicles. In FY 2024–25 alone, Hyundai exported 1,63,386 units, with Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Mexico, Chile, and Peru ranking among its top international markets. The automaker currently exports to over 60 countries and has a lineup of nine tailor-made products for overseas markets, including models like the Hyundai CRETA, CRETA Electric, ALCAZAR, EXTER, VENUE, AURA, VERNA, Grand i10 NIOS, and i20. HMIL recently commenced exports of the CRETA Electric to select neighbouring countries. 'In 2024-25, HMIL reached a significant milestone by completing 25 years of exports from India,' said Unsoo Kim, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India Limited. 'As we aim to become Hyundai's largest export hub outside South Korea, we expect strong momentum to continue, with export volumes projected to grow by 7–8% in FY26.' Chennai Port has played a critical role in HMIL's export success. Shri S. Kirupanandasamy, Traffic Manager at Chennai Port Authority, noted the port's long-standing partnership with Hyundai. 'As the largest automobile export port in the Bay of Bengal, Chennai Port has served as a vital gateway for Hyundai's global shipments since 1999. Our dedicated facilities, including a holding yard for over 4,000 vehicles, support seamless export operations.' The company has achieved several export milestones faster than any other OEM in India – reaching 1 million units by 2010, 2 million by 2014, and 3 million by 2020.
